Chapter 16 - The Pandemic of COVID-19

It was during the spring semester of my sophomore year of high school that this occurred. I remember that on March 17th, 2020, my classmates and I were told to quarantine and practice social distancing. To reduce the number of people getting the virus and avoid death from spreading too much.

From that day on, my peers and I would continue our education at home.

I was thankful that I didn't have to go to my environmental science anymore. I did not favor my teacher in that class, since our education amounted to students doing poster project work and taking textbook notes. I remember students who acted really wild, too. A couple of my classmates would just verbally fight with each other. One time, it got almost physical, and I just did not want to see that. The class was awful, and I was grateful I didn't have to become a victim of its disorganized structure when it came to homework.

I witnessed the fall of a restaurant I used to go to in my childhood, where I always had spaghetti with cheese. It was pretty good, cooked the way I liked. A shame that the restaurant shut down sometime during the pandemic, and another restaurant took over the location instead.

Physical Education class assignments were easier to complete because students would just write down how they would exercise. I knew a friend of mine who wrote down doing chores as their way of exercising. I would often write down how I practically walked in my backyard as a way of exercise.
