Chapter 83 - Development of a New Ninjutsu! The Terror of Expert-Level Professors

It wasn't until the battle had completely ended that Professor Liu and the others finally began to recover from their shock.

When Ning Feng said, "Let's continue," only then did Professor Liu and the rest snap out of their stunned state and regain a bit of composure.

Even so, they still looked with lingering fear at the enormous corpse of the Starry Sky Blood Python, before turning to stare deeply at Ning Feng once again.

They were not ignorant about monsters.

An A+–rank monster possessed power so terrifying that it could easily annihilate an entire city in an instant.

And yet such a fearsome creature had fallen at Ning Feng's hands—in a single exchange!

"Student Ning Feng, if I'm not mistaken, the technique you just used was the Rasengan, right?" Professor Liu couldn't help but ask.

"A ninjutsu with extremely destructive power that doesn't even require hand seals."

Many ninjutsu were things he had heard Orochimaru talk about in the Naruto world, but he had never actually seen them used with his own eyes.

"Yes, Rasengan," Ning Feng nodded slightly.

Standing behind Professor Liu, an elderly professor rushed forward excitedly and shook Ning Feng's hand.

"Hello, Student Ning Feng! My name is Li Xiang, a professor specializing in fluid mechanics," the man said enthusiastically.

"Could you demonstrate your Rasengan again? Maybe, in terms of elemental transformation, I could help you improve it!"

Ning Feng froze for a moment. This Professor Li was staring at him like a cat that had spotted a mouse, his face full of eager anticipation.

Seeing how carried away Professor Li had become, Professor Liu quickly tugged at his sleeve.

"Professor Li, you'll scare the kid like this."

Only then did Professor Li realize how overexcited he'd become. He laughed awkwardly and pointed toward the vehicle.

"Ahem, let's talk about this in the car."

"Alright," Ning Feng nodded.

Taking advantage of the professors being distracted, he flashed forward and discreetly removed a monster core from the Starry Sky Blood Python's severed head.

This core could increase his chakra reserves—there was no way he was going to miss it.

Soon, everyone returned to the vehicle.

Perhaps because Ning Feng had casually slain an A+–rank monster, the monsters they encountered along the way kept their distance, fleeing at the sight of them, terrified of being cut down next.

As a result, Professor Liu and his team enjoyed an unusually safe journey.

Naturally, Ning Feng spent most of that time conversing with Professor Li, the fluid mechanics expert.

"This is my Rasengan," Ning Feng said.

He extended his hand, and dense chakra rapidly gathered in his palm, spinning like a violent storm.

Professor Li stared at the Rasengan in Ning Feng's hand for a long while before slowly speaking.

"From the perspective of fluid mechanics, your Rasengan is essentially a chakra tornado. When you perform it, two streams of chakra form in your palm and spin rapidly, generating friction that produces a powerful explosive force."

Ning Feng nodded in agreement.

In the Naruto world, many ninjutsu followed logical principles and trajectories.

Just from that explanation alone, it was clear that Professor Li had seriously studied chakra and ninjutsu.

Seeing Ning Feng nod, Professor Li broke into a broad smile.

"That means the Rasengan's power comes from the opposing pull of those two forces, producing a powerful explosion."

"So, if you want your Rasengan to become even stronger, you can inject greater force into it—maintaining the explosive structure while adding new effects."

At first, Professor Li's words sounded confusing to Ning Feng, but then—

He was shocked.

As Professor Li spoke, he began rapidly sketching diagrams on a sheet of paper.

"From Orochimaru, we've also learned some elemental transformation techniques," Professor Li continued.

"They just happen to pair very well with your Rasengan."

He tossed aside the pen and paper and directly injected his own chakra into Ning Feng's Rasengan.

A sharp crackling sound rang out.

Ning Feng stared in astonishment as lightning suddenly surged across the surface of the Rasengan, arcs of electricity flashing and snapping.

Though the lightning wasn't large, Ning Feng could clearly feel that with Professor Li's assistance, the Rasengan's power had increased severalfold.

"Lightning Release: Rasengan Shuriken!?"

Ning Feng was stunned.

The more he interacted with these professors, the more he realized just how extraordinary they were.

Their chakra levels were far inferior to his—some of them weren't even genin-level—but the academic knowledge they possessed could invisibly multiply his combat power.

In the original story, Naruto had gone through countless trials and errors to develop Wind Release: Rasengan Shuriken.

Yet here, under Professor Li's guidance, it succeeded in a single attempt.

"Lightning Release: Rasengan Shuriken? So that's what it's called," Professor Li murmured thoughtfully.

"Not bad, not bad."

He nodded approvingly.

"Student Ning Feng, try following what I just did. Inject your own Lightning Release chakra into the Rasengan. I was only giving you a demonstration—you still have enormous potential."

"Try again," he said.

Ning Feng nodded, not daring to waste any time.

A Rasengan formed in his right hand, while his left hand immediately activated Chidori.

After all, Chidori was a Lightning Release technique refined to the extreme, possessing terrifying cutting power.

If that cutting power were fused with the Rasengan—how frightening would the result be?

With that thought in mind, Ning Feng carefully followed Professor Li's instructions, injecting Chidori into the Rasengan.

"The core of your Rasengan is the most violent part—but paradoxically, also the most stable," Professor Li quickly explained.

"To inject Lightning Release into it, you must insert it directly into the very center."

"Otherwise, the Chidori will disrupt the Rasengan's rotation, and you won't achieve the effect of one plus one being greater than three."

Ning Feng didn't question him. He carefully guided the Chidori straight into the Rasengan's core.

Crackle—crackle—crackle!

At the moment of fusion, the Chidori transformed like the blade of a shuriken, spinning wildly at high speed.

The Rasengan, which had only been palm-sized, instantly expanded to nearly half a person's height, its edges lined with blinding lightning that radiated immense power.

"Lightning Release: Rasengan Shuriken!? It actually worked!"

Ning Feng was stunned once more.

So this was the true terror of top-tier scientists in the real world!

In the original story, Naruto had relied on Kakashi's guidance and the cheat-like ability of Shadow Clones to pull this off.

But then Ning Feng thought again—

No wonder.

This was a top expert in fluid mechanics.

A group of people who, given a single fulcrum, would dare to move the entire Earth.
