"The author's life starts with a blissful moment with his two siblings, a boy and a girl. The author, being the second child, describes how life has been for him when his dad, a traveler, moves between countries, only coming home when he feels like it. It was all good until he was arrested. He, not wanting to let his family know the reason for his arrest, wouldn't tell even his wife. And she, being the faithful wife she is, started hustling for money to bail him out of jail. It wasn't easy at all for her, as feeding her children became hard. Meanwhile, her husband's friends were taking advantage of it to extort money from her, which she didn't realize as her business fell apart. This led to her seeking help from her parents, and they obliged, giving her as much help as they could. Although it wasn't enough, she was grateful for receiving any sort of help.
"And she decided to move to her parents' home. They were happy to see their daughter and grandchildren. As things went on, she received a call from a friend informing her that the people who owned where she was staying threw her things out because she wasn't able to pay her rent. It wasn't as painful enough as almost everything the landlord threw out was damaged and stolen. Her informant confirmed her things were thrown out in the rain, and she gave up any hope of retrieving any property. Her parents, being kind as ever, comforted her, letting her know they were always open if she needed anything. As things became harder, there wasn't any chance of her kids going to school, as they could only afford food. Her parents were farmers, making feeding possible. She stayed with her parents for a few years as things began improving. When her relatives heard what she was going through, they didn't hesitate to help her with the necessary funds for her and her kids, and they were able to go to the city to stay their mom's uncle.
She was finally able to get her kids into school because of the help her relatives rendered, and her kids being smart quickly made some progress with their studies. As time went by, the kids grew up, now aware of their surroundings, adapted well. Although they didn't know much about their dad, the only thing they knew was that he wasn't in the country and he was in jail. Time for his release came, and he got out of jail. One of the first things he did was to send his wife and kids back to his state."
