Chapter 3 - Chapter 3-Temptation And Test

Temptation and Tests

The city had quieted after the club's chaos, but Liam's heart was still racing. He walked beside Dom, trying to act casual, though every step felt charged with electricity.

"You're reckless," Dom said suddenly, voice low, dangerous, as they approached a sleek, dimly lit alley leading to a private entrance.

"I'm adventurous," Liam countered, grinning. "Reckless has a bad reputation."

Dom's lips twitched, a mixture of irritation and amusement. "Adventurous. Bold. Arrogant. Pick your poison, Liam."

Liam laughed softly. "Careful, Dom. You're starting to sound like you care."

Dom's eyes darkened. "Care has nothing to do with it. You're… complicated. And frustrating."

"Good," Liam replied, leaning closer. "I like complicated. I like frustrating. I like… tempting."

Dom froze for a heartbeat, studying him. Then he stepped closer—too close. The air between them thickened, and Liam felt it: the pull, the danger, the desire.

"I should warn you," Dom murmured, voice dropping to a velvet growl, "I don't play nice."

"I don't mind," Liam said, meeting his gaze steadily. "I play to win."

A flicker of a smirk crossed Dom's lips. "Bold. And foolish. Dangerous. Just my type."

They reached the private lounge inside Dom's building, dimly lit with deep crimson lights and the faint scent of expensive cologne. Liam's eyes roamed the luxurious room, but Dom's gaze never left him.

"You shouldn't be here," Dom said, crossing his arms.

"Why? Afraid I'll ruin your perfect little world?" Liam teased.

Dom's jaw tightened. "Don't test me."

"Maybe I like testing," Liam whispered, stepping closer until their shoulders brushed. The friction was undeniable. Every glance, every word, every brush of skin was a temptation they both knew was dangerous.

Then, Dom leaned slightly forward, just enough for Liam to feel his warm breath. "You frustrate me," he admitted, low and dangerous. "But I can't stop thinking about you."

Liam's heart skipped a beat. "Maybe you're enjoying it," he murmured.

Dom's hand brushed Liam's arm, a fleeting, tantalizing touch. "Don't push me too far," he warned.

"I'm already there," Liam said softly.

The tension between them was electric, charged with desire, conflict, and forbidden temptation. And for the first time, Liam realized that being with Dom wouldn't just be a thrill—it would be a challenge, a battle of wills, and a journey into a darkness neither of them could resist.
