Chapter 10 - Leaving for the Academy.

My girls were sleeping on the bed, too tired to move as I got up. We spent the whole night making passionate love as they needed it. I won't be able to come back until the end of the year, or if I can do missions, but from what I know, you have to be halfway through your Academy time to do missions.

Putting my clothes on, putting a big bag of crystals next to the bed, and putting a letter on the night table. I had spent the last year killing monsters, and with these crystals, my children and the women should have enough money to get by for the next year.

Giving me enough time to prove to the Academy that I could complete missions was also part of the reason I was going there. Only someone who went through the Academy can become an Adventurer and do missions to kill monsters. Think of it as a mandatory thing one needs to do.

Picking up my bag and walking towards my door, I heard a voice. "Be safe, sweety." It said in a sad voice, making me turn around to see my mom, who smiled at me gently.

"Don't worry, I will. I left you something that can help feed our child. Make sure to share it with Mrs Williams and sis. I will write you three times every week." I said with a gentle smile, and she nodded. Before I left my room, I walked out of my house, making my way to the village square.

The Baroness and Kaelira, along with the other three, waited near a wagon. Jason wouldn't look at me, but the two girls looked at me differently. One that I knew pretty well now, making me smile at them and wave as the two girls blushed and waved as they lowered their heads with a smile.

"Everyone is here now. It will take us a week to get to the Academy. So be prepared for the travel, and also make sure not to let your guard down. As bandits, monsters, and other Kingdoms can very well target us." The Baroness said, looking at me before moving her head, looking over the others.

This crop of kids isn't bad; at least two of them have potential, and the other two can at least make a living. She thought to herself before letting us mount the wagon, and the two girls from the village sat next to me. I chuckled to myself, as this will help me at least gain some mana while we travel.

The wagon started to move as I looked at my summons. I had amassed a large amount, I was debating what my summons should focus on, and I ended up picking the most hated and toxic tribal creature any Magic: The Gathering player knows. The one that, if you played Commander, and you see it, you will have the urge to flip the table.

I looked at the four strongest monsters from the Tribe I picked to be the bosses of my army.

[Sliver Gravemother( 4 mana of every color to summon, making it a total of 20 mana to summon.)- This monster allows you to summon as many Legendary Slivers. It's a 6/6.] I bought 4.

[Sliver Hivelord( 4 mana of every color to summon.)- Slivers summoned have indestructible. 5/5]

[Sliver Legion( 4 mana of every color to summon.)- All Sliver creatures get +1/+1 for each Sliver summoned out. 7/7] I bought ten.

[Sliver Queen(4 mana of every color to summon.)- Pay 2 colorless mana to spawn a colorless Sliver. 7/7]

I noticed I wasn't stopped from having more than four of the same monster; it's only the Legend rule that carried over to this world. So I bought a lot of slivers, since they have so many that boost sliver power.

[Brood Sliver( costs 3 green mana and 12 of any other color to summon.)- When a Sliver deals damage, it spawns a 1/1 colorless Sliver. 3/3] I bought 10 of them.

[Fungus Sliver( costs 3 green mana and 9 mana of any other color.)- All slivers have "Whenever this creature is dealt damage, put a +1/+1 counter on it. 2/2] I bout 10 of them.

[Megantic Sliver( cost 3 green and 15 mana of any other color.)- Slivers get +3/+3. 3/3] I bought 10 of them.

[Battle Sliver( costs 2 red and 8 mana of any other color.)- Slivers get +2/+0. 3/3] I bought 20 of them.

[Blade Sliver( costs 1 red and 2 mana of any other color.)- Slivers get +1/+0. 2/2] I bought 20 of them.

[Might Sliver( costs 2 green mana and 8 mana of any other color.)- Slivers get +2/+2. 2/2] I bought 20 of them.

[Muscle Sliver( Cost 1 green and 1 mana of any color.)- Slivers get +1/+1. 1/1.] I bought a hundred of them.

[Crystaline Sliver( costs 2 blue mana and 2 white mana.)- Enemy spells or abilities can't target Slivers. 2/2] I bought five.

[Cloudshredder Sliver( cost 3 white mana and 3 red mana.) All Slivers can fly and are faster. 1/1] I bought five, and that was the last one.

This was what I used my CP on for the last year; it was worth every CP spent. I feel that if push comes to shove, I could handle an army with them. I was in deep thought when I heard a voice.

"Tim, we are going to rest for the evening." The Baroness said, making me look outside, shocked that I had been in my own world for the last ten hours. We dismounted the wagon and started to set up camp as Kaelira spoke.

"We still have time before night watch won't start just yet. But here are the shifts, it will be Jason and me for the first shift. Followed by Tim and Jessica for the middle shift, and then The Baroness and Elizabeth. The shifts will be four hours, so those in the middle should get as much sleep as possible." She said, looking at me.

I nodded my head and turned to Jessica, who was the girl who got the healer job, and she smiled at me before speaking. "I will be in your care." She said happily, but I could clearly see she had a crush on me. This will play to my advantage as I nod and smile before speaking.

"I will make sure you're safe at night," I said, making her blush and nod as we started to set up our beds.

Making sure to set the bed up next to the two girls right in the middle of them, so I can "make sure" nothing happens to them in the dark. The sun slowly started to set as we ate our dinner, and the kids weren't talkative as the realization of leaving home hit them.

I finished my food and lay down, looking up at the sky as it turned purple, the last rays of light consumed by the darkness, when a voice spoke. "Mind if I lie next to you?" Jessica said shyly, I could tell being on her own, away from her family, was eating at her.

She lay down and looked like she was struggling to ask me something as I noticed her moving closer, trying not let me notice as I smirked and pulled her over, making her yelp. "You are worried and want to sleep closer to me. Just rest your head on my chest and listen to my heart. It will help you sleep." I said, while closing my eyes, and she smiled gently, closing hers.

"That kid is going places," Kaelira said with a chuckle. As the Baroness smiled and nodded her head.

"He is most definitely a charmer." She said before taking a bite of her food.
