Chapter 15 - Daily

After Feng Shuo's family arrived at the shelter, they enjoyed a relatively peaceful period. As their two children grew older, Yuko and her husband smiled more and more.

On this day, Kenji went hunting with the young men of the Village, as usual.

Yuko stays at home taking care of the children and tending to the vegetable garden behind the house.

In the evening, she skillfully started a fire and cooked, when Feng Xing mysteriously approached her.

"Mom, look what this is!" Feng Xing excitedly held up a skewer of grilled fish, his chest covered in a dark patch.

"Oh, so you've gone out to play again!" Yuko pretended to hit him with a spatula. Feng Xing nimbly dodged, but couldn't avoid the slap from the other side.

Ouch! That hurts!

"It's good that it hurts, otherwise how will you learn your lesson? If you make it all dirty again next time, don't come back."

"Okay, okay, go ahead and try it." Feng Xing shoved the grilled fish into Yuko's hands.

She took it and tasted it. "The grilled fish tastes good."

"But what about the things I asked you to buy?" Yuko asked, her fist slowly rising again.

Feng Xing hurriedly ran outside, shouting, "I'm going right now!"

"That kid is really something, so impulsive, just like his father," Yuko said, watching Feng Xing's retreating figure.

Judging by the time, this child is already five years old, and Feng Shuo is two. Although he has always been quiet and doesn't cry or fuss, which makes things easier for me, he's just too quiet.

He always prefers to be alone and isn't interested in playing with other children. If only he could have half of his brother's liveliness and energy.

As Yuko continued cooking, she kept thinking, and soon the steaming hot food was served.

" Yuko, I'm back!" Kenji's excited voice came from outside.

"Mom, I'm back too." Two figures, one big and one small, walked in.

"Look what this is." Kenji placed a large piece of meat on the table.

"Venus meat, you guys are in luck today. This amount of meat is enough to last for many days. We need to process it quickly and make some into jerky... You guys eat first, don't wait for me."

The father and son smiled at each other. Feng Xing knew that the matter of getting his clothes dirty was over, while Kenji's expression seemed to say, "Thanks to me this time."

A few days later, Feng Shuo fell ill because Feng Xing had taken him out and he had caught a cold. When Yuko found out, she quickly took Feng Shuo to the only clinic in the village and scolded Feng Xing.

"Ah~choo~" Feng Shuo sneezed, and glistening snot streamed from his nose as he tried to suck it back in. "Tissue, tissue!" Yuko wiped his snot away with a towel.

"Well, that's the situation. It's quite serious. Is there any way to recover faster?" Yuko asked the old man opposite her.

Granny Akemi gave little Feng Shuo a thorough examination, then said to the girl beside her, "Xiao Kui, go get the medicine."

"The consultation fee plus medicine will cost twenty coins in total. His body is rather weak, so some warming and nourishing herbs have been added..."

After listening to Granny Akemi's explanation, Yuko turned to look at Feng Shuo, only to find that he had already run towards the bookshelf with his short legs.

He pointed to one of the books and looked at Yuko.

"It's alright, if the child likes it, just take it and look at it." Granny Akemi smiled at little Feng Shuo.

"I feel that this child is also destined to be with me. How about I let him learn medicine from me?"

Yuko readily agreed, "Then I'll trouble you."

Although he didn't understand why such a young child would be interested in books, he thought that if the child could learn a skill, he wouldn't have to struggle for a living like they did in the future.

And so, little Feng Shuo began a life of learning medicine while also learning about the outside world.

"Brother, I read in a book today that Shadow is the most powerful person in this world." Feng Shuo sat to the side, watching Feng Xing's busy figure.

Ever since Feng Xing showed his talent in cooking, he has taken on the task of cooking.

"Is that so? Lord Kage is certainly powerful, but our Lord Hanzo of the Land of Rain is no less impressive."

While busy starting a fire, Feng Xing responded to his younger brother, "I heard that even if the three Jonin from Konoha Village attacked together, they could only barely survive against the adults."

"Brother, do you want to become such a powerful person?" Feng Shuo asked curiously.

"Of course we want to, everyone would want to, right? Then we can protect you and become people who are respected by everyone."

He became emotional, but quickly lost heart. "But we're all just ordinary people, not even qualified to be Ninja."

Feng Shuo smiled slightly; he saw his brother's determination. "If you had the chance, would you like to learn?" he asked Feng Xing.

"I can teach you, but let's make it clear that this can't be known by anyone else," Feng Shuo said, stroking his non-existent beard with feigned profundity.

The first time refining Chakra is always difficult, and even with Feng Shuo's guidance, I still experienced countless failures.

riverside.

"First, you need to do physical training to increase the energy in your body; on the other hand, you need to meditate to enhance your mental energy."

He tried hard to recall the knowledge he had learned at the clan school, as well as the teachings of his father and brothers.

"Relax your body, take a deep breath, and feel your heartbeat. There is a lot of energy in the cells of the human body. By combining the'spiritual energy' and 'physical energy' in your body, you can refine Chakra. Then, through continuous training to increase the total amount of Chakra, you can release more Ninjutsu."

Feng Shuo sat leisurely under the shade of a nearby tree and said this.

"Huh? That's the same as saying nothing at all." Feng Xing froze on the spot.

"Then, let me put it more simply?" He sat up straight. "Sit down like I am, and then calm your mind and meditate..."

"Then, imagine that there is an energy flowing in your body, starting from your heart, flowing through your limbs, and finally gathering in your abdomen."

You can also try touching other objects to sense the interaction between your internal energy and the external environment.

Feng Xing tried to concentrate and imagine that he felt an energy flowing through his body, but it quickly dissipated.

"Finally, concentrate your mind and gather this energy in your abdomen, slowly compressing it until it becomes powerful, and then..."

After explaining the method in one breath, he took a breath and said to Feng Xing.

"Brother, don't rush. Everyone's talent is different. It takes time and patience to practice. Maybe you'll be able to do it next time." Feng Shuo said, giving Feng Xing an encouraging look.

In fact, Feng Shuo had tried to refine Chakra, but because the body was too young and weak, it couldn't withstand it at all. He gave up the idea after fainting a few months ago.

Feng Xing nodded, somewhat disappointed, but he didn't give up. He closed his eyes and continued trying.

A few months later, little Feng Shuo was learning at the clinic. His grandmother had recently started teaching him acupuncture, and he and his sister Xiao Kui were listening attentively.

" Granny Akemi, are you there? My mother asked me to bring some of our own vegetables over."

"Oh, it's Feng Xing. Come in quickly," Granny Akemi said gently.

"I've come to see my younger brother," Feng Xing said as he entered the house and put down the groceries he had brought.

"Grandma, my brother and I will head back now. See you tomorrow!"

"Okay, please thank your mother for me."
