Chapter 10 - Chapter 10

Eric opened the book that emitted golden light. Ancient and mysterious words emerged on the pages. These words seemed to have a life of their own, shimmering with a faint glow. He studied them carefully. The book detailed the method to leave the desert and clues related to the divine artifact.

The book mentioned that to leave the desert, one needed to harness the power of the Heart of the Desert. The Heart of the Desert was a huge crystal hidden in the deepest part of the desert, controlling all the elemental powers of the desert. To find the Heart of the Desert, a series of puzzles hidden throughout the desert had to be solved first. These puzzles were closely related to the ancient ruins in the desert.

As for the divine artifact, it was sealed inside a mysterious pyramid hidden in another mysterious space beneath the desert. Only by gathering three keys could the pyramid be opened to obtain the divine artifact. Each of the three keys was hidden in a different dangerous place, and each was guarded by a powerful protector.

Eric knew that the road ahead was full of difficulties and dangers, but he didn't show the slightest sign of backing down. Guided by the book, he first came to an ancient ruin. The gate of the ruin was closed tightly, and strange symbols were engraved on it. Eric recalled the interpretation of these symbols in the book and began to try to solve the puzzle.

After some effort, he finally found the pattern among the symbols and successfully opened the gate of the ruin. Behind the gate was a long corridor, and various ancient statues were placed on both sides of the corridor. As soon as Eric stepped into the corridor, the statues all came to life and surrounded him.

These statues were of different shapes. Some held long swords, and some waved staffs. Their attacks seemed clumsy, but their power was quite formidable. Eric brandished his sword and engaged in a fight with the statues. He skillfully used wind - type magic to move nimbly among the statues. At the same time, he seized the right moment and used the sword qi of his sword to shatter the statues.

During the battle, Eric discovered that these statues seemed to be controlled by a certain kind of energy, and the source of the energy was on a huge statue at the end of the corridor. He concentrated his strength and rushed towards that huge statue. After breaking through the obstruction of numerous statues, he came to the huge statue and released a powerful magic, hitting the core part of the statue.

With a flash of light, all the statues stopped moving and turned to dust. Eric continued to penetrate deeper into the ruin. In the depths of the ruin, he found a hidden chamber. There was a treasure chest placed in the chamber. He opened the treasure chest, and inside lay the first key. The key emitted a silver light, and mysterious runes were engraved all over it.

Eric put away the key and left the ruin. Guided by the book, he set off towards the next dangerous place. On the way to find the second key, the desert environment became increasingly harsh. The sand - filled wind whipped by the gale was like a sharp blade. But Eric was filled with determination. He knew that obtaining each key brought him one step closer to the divine artifact and one step closer to home. What kind of challenges would he encounter in the next adventure, and could he successfully find the second key?
