Chapter 3 - First Quest

Lily stared at the screen floating in front of her. She was strangely aware of this phenomenon.

"Isn't this one of those system manhwa I've heard of?" she muttered. "Hmm… Corrupt System? That name can't be trusted either."

Before she could analyze the situation carefully, another message popped up.

"Your first ever task has been created! YAHOOO! Rejoice, Player Lily!"

DING!!!!

Her holographic screen shifted, displaying a new panel:

Quest: BE ACKNOWLEDGED BY EVERYONE!

Reward: Random top-tier healing spell

Time Limit: 29 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes

Penalty for Failure: PLAYER'S DEATH

"Hm… a top-tier healing spell as a reward? Not bad. And what's this? My death as the penalty?" She tilted her head slightly, a soft laugh escaping her lips. "Oh my… is my God encouraging me to do my best?"

She chuckled, not even a little bothered by the possibility of dying if she failed.

"Hm… Be acknowledged by everyone? It doesn't even say how. That means it's up to me, right?" Her eyes glimmered with interest. "How… interesting."

Other people would have panicked after seeing this.

But not Lily.

She had a few loose screws—her emotions were broken in ways she could never fix. She did not feel fear. She did not feel pain.

"If this is like what I've heard, I should be able to access my status window, right?"

The moment the thought crossed her mind, the hologram shifted.

STATUS WINDOW

PLAYER: Lily Hart

TITLE: Favored by the God of Mischief

JOB: Healer

Title Effect:

Favored by the God of Mischief — Grants access to the CORRUPT SYSTEM

SKILLS: DECEPTION (SSS+), CHARM (SSS+)

DECEPTION (SSS+)

The user can perfectly assume the form of someone with whom they have formed a sexual intercourse.

No limitation.

CHARM (SSS+)

A charm that defies heaven itself. Others will naturally look upon you with favor and be drawn to you.

"Huh? That's all? There's no strength, agility, endurance, or intelligence stats? What is this?" She stared at the screen, disbelief flickering in her eyes. "I can transform into anyone I've slept with? What kind of ridiculous skill is that? Is this really SSS+? Is it only because there's no limit?"

She frowned deeply. "What useless skills… No—calm down." She drew a slow breath, forcing herself to think. "This just means it's harder. Not impossible."

She racked her brain, planning in silence for the rest of the night.

Morning came, and Fenir arrived with Princess Serena, his fiancée.

A handsome elf and a beautiful woman—they could have been a famous love team if they had been born on Earth.

"Good morning, Lady Lily." Fenir greeted me.

"Good morning, Fenir." I replied plainly.

A sharp, piercing gaze that felt like it could bore a hole through me stayed fixed on my face. This must be Princess Serena.

Is she jealous? Should I play with her a little?

I suddenly lifted a hand to my head, swaying as if I were dizzy, and let myself fall in Fenir's direction so he could catch me. He reacted instantly, grabbing me with a worried expression.

"S-Savior, are you all right?" he asked.

"S-Sorry… I was just a bit nauseous." I replied weakly, acting as if I truly felt unwell. When Fenir wasn't looking, I glanced at Princess Serena and let a small, teasing grin curve my lips.

This angered her more than I expected.

"Let her go, Fenir! She's just acting to gain your attention!" Princess Serena shouted, her tone filled with disdain.

Fenir looked confused, clearly caught between us.

"Ah… t-to say that to a lady who just suffered from the effects of dimensional travel? How cruel…" Tears welled in my eyes as I looked at Fenir with a pitiful expression. "Who is she?" I asked softly, though I already knew she was his fiancée.

Fenir helped me sit on the couch. "This is the fiancée I told you about yesterday, Lady Lily." he said politely.

"Hm… but why is she mad at me?" A tear slipped down my cheek, as if I were deeply wounded by her words.

"D-Don't cry, Savior… She's just like that because she loves me. S-She doesn't really mean it." he hurried to explain.

After all, compared to his fiancée—who existed only for political alliance—I was far more important. I was the only one who could use healing magic.

"Y-You…!" Princess Serena's face twisted in anger as she slammed the door and stormed out.

"Hic… I-I… w-what did I do?" I continued to cry softly.

Poor girl, I thought calmly. Sorry, but this is crucial to my plan. I need to verify something.

"N-No, no… don't cry, Savior…" Fenir panicked, completely unsure how to comfort a woman.

DING!!!

The holographic message suddenly appeared.

Quest Completion Rate: 5%

"It seems I was right." she murmured. "I only need to be acknowledged by the people who hold real power in this world, rather than the entire population."

The system's quest had been explained too vaguely. The only way to truly understand it was through testing. After all, if she truly had to be acknowledged by the whole Artica Continent, a single month would never be enough.

With this clue, she could finally proceed with her plan.

"F-Fenir, I need a favor… Actually, in my previous world, I was a saintess."

There was no way the people of this continent could know which world she came from. And based on Fenir's words yesterday, they were certain that many worlds existed.

"Really, Lady Lily? No wonder you look like a goddess." he said, nodding as if it all finally made sense.

Lily shamelessly continued. "In my previous world, I served a pitiful god, hated by everyone. As his sole follower, I was outcast and sentenced to death by the people there. But I wasn't afraid—my god gave me a revelation beforehand, saying he would send me to another world so I could spread his greatness here instead."

She smiled faintly as she continued to spout these nonsensical lies, watching Fenir's awe grow with each word.

DING!!!

The holographic screen appeared once again, displaying a new message:

"The God of Mischief defensively says that he was neither outcast nor pitiful, and you should be careful what you say so as not to anger him."

I couldn't help but laugh quietly to myself.

"But…" My voice faltered as I looked at Fenir with a soft, sorrowful expression. "My God cannot extend his divinity here because the people do not acknowledge me." I lowered my gaze, then met his eyes with what appeared to be sincere concern. "If your people do not acknowledge and trust me… I will be useless to you. I can only heal through the help of my God. But if my God cannot reach his divinity here, I can do nothing."

I pressed my palm against his, emphasizing my "plea" and the effort I was supposedly putting forth.

"Please… help me tell the council about my situation. Ask them to acknowledge and trust me so that I can truly help you."

Fenir immediately stood, determination lighting his features.

"Leave it to me, Lady Lily! I will make sure to pass on your words and convince them!" he declared, and hurriedly left the room.

I smiled faintly to myself once the door closed. Perfect… everything is going exactly as planned.
