Chapter 1 - Five choices

"I am so, so sorry!"

Vin stared at the bowing man before him, completely stunned.

He needed a complete minute to sombered himself up.

"That's okay, but...where the heck am I currently?"

An awkward laugh came out of the bowing man.

"Uh... Ahahaha... W-welcome to Tjarem, I guess?" Said the man, hesitatingly.

"Huh?"

...

—Moments ago.

Vin looked around him, gazing at the lush forest he was in. That's strange—he was supposed to be in his room, playing MOBA as usual.

So how could he suddenly ended up in a forest?

He racked his brain, but couldn't came out with any good reason behinds it.

And the man, who looked just like an edgy teenager, with pale skin and all black from hair to toe, appeared at that moment.

"I am sorry to say this, but you have died, Mister Vin."

The announcement of his death was so sudden Vin was more shocked by the sudden appearance of the man before he finally picked up the important parts of his words.

"D-died, you say!?"

The man lowered his head guiltily.

"Yes... I mistaken you as a part of an anomaly while cleaning the Earth and erased your existence from the planet..."

That led to the current situation.

The man, who introduced himself as The Distillator, slowly rose from bowing posture before began explaining his entire situation in detail.

"I knew it was entirely my carelessness that caused this mess, but what was done couldn't be undone. Your existence had been erased and it was now impossible to allow you to exist on Earth."

"This kind of error is actually quite common amongst us higher beings maintaining worlds. Most doesn't care at all, but I just couldn't stand seeing your life ended so prematurely like that without doing anything as if nothing had happened."

"So I begged my friend, who is Tjarem's administrator, to allow you to remanifest in it."

Vin could only nodding his head absent-mindedly while trying hard to understand unimaginable amount of important information The Distillator had spilled.

"That's being said, I know allowed you to exist again alone was not enough to redeem my mistake."

"That's why..."

The Distillator suddenly pulled out five transparent orbs, presenting it in front of Vin.

"I exchanged a point of my Divinity to let you get one of these five Legendary Bloodline with hope that you will be able to live without worry in Tjarem with this."

"Bloodline?" Vin looked at The Distillator confusedly.

The Distillator smiled, he guessed that Vin wanted him to explain about Bloodline to his, too.

"Yes, Bloodline! The Bloodline I am presenting to you is not that kind of Bloodline like giving you a parents whom which you would enherited their power, traits, and legacy, but a crystalized one that could be consumed to change your physique to a higher level according to the Bloodline you chose. These Bloodlines have their own growth trees, with endless potential, advantages, and also disadvantages. You should consider your choice seriously!"

Vin gulped. He now realized how serious it was.

He was now in a world unknown for him. From here on, he would be alone. No one would come to help him.

That thought made his feel slightly lonely, helpless, even somewhat angery to The Distillator, but it was also a chance.

Even on Earth, he was already alone. Being alone here wouldn't make the difficulty suddenly multiplied or anything like that.

He would just rely on himself as usual.

Catiously, seriously...

Vin looked at the five orbs on The Distillator's right hand palm. As he focused on it, a screen displaying their characteristics suddenly appeared.

"Was this also..." Vin was about to asks The Distillator about the screen, but his grin had already explained everything.

Of course it was also part of his gift, thought Vin. Without it, how would he check which orbs was the right choice for him!?
