The young man is Han Tianmie. He is an orphan living in the mountains for survival, as his adopted parents died unexpectedly during a beast tide. He was fortunate as he went to Desolate Wind Academy to learn cultivation, but he got rejected.
When he was coming back dejectedly to the village, the misfortune of his adopted parents broke him from the inside.
As he was an orphan, his early life was filled with hunger, fear, and loneliness. It was so constant that it became normal. But when he was seven years old, he got adopted by a couple, and he was living with them.
