Chapter 1 - Meeting God

I opened my eyes slowly and what I saw for the first time was only endless darkness.

"Where am I?" I muttered confused.

I then remembered that I was dead because working too much and overtime made me have a heart attack.

But I don't feel sorry for dying, I'm actually grateful because I don't have anything else to think about because I don't have anyone in the world.

"It seems I am on the border between the realms of death and life" I said.

I then walked forward, maybe there was something at the end of this darkness.

I kept walking and kept walking who knows how long I walked in this darkness. I don't know whether what I did was right or wrong but I kept going.

At first I was still counting one day, then two days later my count started to get blurry. In a place with no sun, no moon, no hunger or tiredness, time loses its meaning.

Day turned into a week.

Week turned into month.

Month turned into year.

The silence here is not noisy, but it is not friendly either. It was like a black ocean that swallowed everything, including my own thoughts. Sometimes I wonder if I'm still walking, or just standing in place convincing myself that I'm moving.

I suddenly stopped.

I footsteps felt futile, as if every distance I covered was just a repeating illusion. For the first time since I woke up in this place, I chose to sit down—in the middle of a floorless, wallless darkness.

I hugged my knees.

"Will… I be able to get out of here?" I muttered softly, my voice drowned out before it could even echo.

I closed my eyes, contemplating. Maybe this is how it ends—not heaven, not hell.

"Poor soul…"

I flinched because I heard a voice from somewhere and then I opened my eyes.

The darkness that had swallowed me for a long time was slowly being torn apart, like fog parted by morning light.the light wasn't dazzling, it was warm—calming in a strange way, as if touching something long dead inside me.

In front of me…

An old man stood up.

His beard was long white, hanging down to his chest, his hair was as white as snow that had not been touched by time. He wore a simple white robe but there was an inexplicable authority radiating from him.

I reflexively stood up, even though my legs felt light, almost not touching anything.

"Wh—who are you?" I asked, my voice hoarse.

The grandfather smiled faintly. Not a comforting smile, but rather the smile of someone who already knows all the answers, even before the question is asked.

"I am the God of Death and Life" was the reply.

I was a little surprised to hear that.

"So Gods where will I end up in Heaven or Hell?" I asked straight to the point.

The grandfather stroked his white beard slowly, as if he was considering something that even to him was not trivial.

"Hm... You weren't surprised after I introduced myself to you," he said.

"Because I found no one here and I was already dead. So I know that you are a god," I replied.

"Okay... you're smart enough to quickly come to conclusions," he said praising me.

I frowned. " So where will I go?

"It depends," he said.

I frowned. "Which depends?" I asked.

"On one simple thing," he answered. "Either you deserve to be tried… or forgotten."

I choked. "Forgotten?"

He nodded slowly. "Your soul should have reached the place of judgment. But because of my negligence, you ended up stranded at this border. Stuck between life and death, without direction, without calling."

I chest warmed—not anger, more like exhaustion that had finally found its cause.

"In exchange," continued the God, "I can send you to Heaven. Without further assessment. That's your right."

Heaven.

The word sounded… hollow.

I was silent for a moment, then shook his head slowly. "If I go to Heaven… will I still feel alive?"

The god smiled faintly. "No. But you will feel at peace."

I looked down, remembering my past life—days filled with aimless work, empty nights with no sound waiting for me to come home.

"Just peace... doesn't seem like enough," I said honestly.

The god looked at me deeper. Then, for the first time since we met, he chuckled.

"Then," he said, "there is another option."

I looked up quickly. "Choice?"

"You can live again," he said lightly, as if it was the most ordinary thing in the world. "In another world. New life. New body. Not bound by your past."

I froze.

"Alive… again?" I whispered.

"Yes," he answered. "But not who you used to be. And there's no guarantee your life will be easier."

I almost laughed. "My life before was already a mess."

"Precisely because of that, you are qualified." said the God.

I stared at him for a long time. There is no doubt in me. My old life didn't leave anything I wanted to miss.

"I want to," I said firmly. "I want to live again."

The light around us shook, as if the world itself was responding to my decision.

"Okay," said the god. "As compensation for my negligence… I will grant you one request."

One request.

I took a breath, then looked straight at him. I don't know where the courage came from, but the words just came out of my mouth.

"Then," I said, "I'll have… ten."

Silence.

Several seconds passed.

Then the God of Death and Life fell silent before finally laughing out loud, the sound of his laughter echoing in all directions.

"Humans are always greedy," he said, shaking his head. "Even after death."

I shrugged. "I've already died once. There's no harm in trying."

He stared at me for a long time, then took a deep breath—but his smile didn't disappear.

"Okay, Ten wishes... Tell me what your first wish isasked the God.

I looked at the God and said without hesitation, "My first wish, I want my appearance to be like Gojo Satoru, along with his strength. Second wish, I want an immortal body and not feel pain."

"Okay," he said, nodding slowly. "The first and second wishes… I grant."

My chest shook—between relief and disbelief.

"For other requests?" he asked.

I took a breath. "For now… I'm still confused. I want to keep it."

"That's allowed," he answered calmly. "The remaining eight wishes will be tied to your soul. You can use it whenever and wherever in the world you want to live?"

"Whatever," I answered simply.

The God smiled.

Click!

The god snapped his fingers.

In an instant, my body was dragged into the vortex of light. The space around me collapsed, my consciousness was torn apart, and before everything went completely dark, I heard his voice echo.

"Congratulations on your new life."

Then I lost consciousness..
