Chapter 1 - Title: The Letter That Arrived Last

On Valentine's Day, the small town of Amarpur was filled with red balloons, roses, and laughter. Shops played soft music, and couples walked along the streets, smiling and holding hands.

But Aarav sat alone on a bench near the old park. In his hand was a small envelope—one he had written a year ago but never had the courage to give.

It was a letter for Meera, his best friend since childhood.

They had studied together, shared lunch together, and laughed at the smallest things. Somewhere along the way, Aarav had started to feel something deeper—but fear stopped him from speaking.

Last year, on Valentine's Day, he had planned to give her the letter. But that same day, Meera moved to another city with her family. The letter stayed in his drawer… until today.

Aarav looked at the sky and sighed.

"I guess some things are just meant to stay unsaid," he whispered.

Just then, he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"You always liked sitting here, didn't you?"

Aarav turned, and his heart skipped a beat.

Meera stood there, smiling, holding two cups of coffee.

"I came back yesterday," she said softly. "And I hoped… you would still be here."

Aarav felt nervous, but this time he didn't let fear win. He handed her the letter.

Meera read it quietly. For a moment, Aarav couldn't read her expression. Then she looked up, her eyes shining.

"You're late," she said with a gentle laugh. "I waited for this last year."

Aarav's heart sank. "I'm sorry…"

Meera smiled and took his hand.

"But I'm still here."

The park lights flickered on as the sun set, and for the first time, Valentine's Day felt truly special—not because of roses or chocolates, but because of a love that finally found its voice.

The End

If you want, I can also write a suspense Valentine story, a sad love story, or a romantic school love story—just tell me which type you like.
