Chapter 5 - 5-The Fall of the Knight

The story culminates in a brutal, tragic showdown between Galahad and Lucan in the tunnels beneath London. Galahad emerges victorious but is confronted by the Lord Chancellor. To avoid a scandal that would destroy the public's faith in the Order, the Chancellor orders Galahad to kill Lucan and disappear forever. Galahad executes his former friend, abandons his knightly crest, and vanishes into the shadows of a burning London—no longer a knight, but the city's only true protector.
