THE LAZY KING

Once there lived a king who was very lazy. He only ate and slept and did nothing. Slowly his health went down and he became sick and inactive. Even the doctors' treatment had no effect. No medicine cured him. The subjects became worried as worried was the minister. One day the minister met with a hermit and told him the king's condition. The hermit presently understood the reason. He sent the message to the king to visit his hut on foot to regain his health. The king did so and was bathed in sweat when reached the hut. The hermit met him and gave him a task for a month. He told the king, "Look here. You must have to prepare three beds for sowing seeds of corns. Start your work from tomorrow morning." The king was so eager to regain his good health that he stayed there for almost a month and worked hard to prepare the beds everyday. Gradually he lost his weight and became active again.
