She looked down at the six bags of grass seeds, then shook her head and stored them back in the warehouse. Grass seeds were useful for raising animals, but right now, she didn't even know if she could survive tomorrow. Farming came first.
She walked to the small screen and opened the store again.
The store interface appeared, clean and simple, filled with crop icons and prices. Sienna Vale scanned through them quickly and realized her options were limited. At level one, she could only buy a few basic seeds: pasture grass, radish, carrots, and cabbage.
She tried clicking another seed just to confirm, and the system rejected her immediately.
"Level insufficient."
Sienna Vale sighed.
"Just like a game."
Her eyes returned to the four available crops. She didn't hesitate for long. Radish seeds cost one hundred and fifty gold coins per bag, but the profit was decent, and more importantly, radish gave good experience. Sienna Vale remembered clearly from her Earth days. In those farm games, the cheapest crops were often the best for leveling up quickly.
Right now, leveling up mattered more than anything else.
Gold could be earned later. Strength and survival came first.
Sienna Vale bought one bag of radish seeds.
The seeds didn't appear in her hand. Instead, the system stored them directly in the warehouse. Sienna Vale only needed to think about them, and the bag instantly appeared in front of her.
She held it up, feeling the strange weight.
"Radish seeds. One bag. Plantable. Can be taken outside the space. Planting area: ten acres."
Sienna Vale stared at the ten acres of farmland outside the hut. Then her face stiffened.
She had seeds.
She had land.
But…
How the hell was she supposed to plant it?
She was a City girl. In her entire life, she had never planted a single vegetable with her own hands. Even if she had Sienna's memories, Sienna was also a noble brat. She had never farmed either. Between the two of them, neither knew the first thing about planting radishes.
Sienna Vale rubbed her forehead, feeling embarrassed.
Then she paused.
Her eyes slowly turned toward the shovel and bucket lying nearby.
This was a system space. A game-like space.
In a game… did players really plant crops with their own hands?
A bold thought formed in her mind.
"What if I don't have to do it myself?"
She swallowed, then tried speaking with her thoughts.
"Plant radishes."
The moment the command formed, the bag of seeds in her hand floated into the air. The shovel rose from the ground as if pulled by invisible strings. It moved smoothly, digging neat holes in the soil. Seeds spilled out one by one, dropping into the holes. Then the bucket flew up, scooping water from the spring and pouring it into each spot with perfect control. Finally, the shovel covered the holes again, pressing the soil down neatly.
The entire process was clean, fast, and almost elegant.
Sienna Vale stared with wide eyes, speechless.
She didn't need farming skills.
She didn't need experience.
She only needed to give orders.
After a few seconds, Sienna Vale started laughing again, but this time it was quieter, filled with disbelief.
"This is insane…"
She watched as the tools worked together like trained servants. The shovel dug, the seeds fell, the bucket watered, the soil covered. The ten acres were being planted in an organized rhythm, as if the space itself were alive.
Sienna Vale suddenly remembered something and frowned.
If she stayed in this space too long, would people outside notice she disappeared?
She immediately thought, "Leave the farm."
Her vision blurred again. In the next moment, she was back inside her room in the castle. She quickly looked toward the window.
The sunlight outside hadn't changed much. The air felt the same. It was as if she had never moved.
Sienna Vale's heart jumped with excitement.
Time flowed differently.
Or maybe the farm existed outside time itself.
Either way, it meant she could farm and develop without anyone noticing.
Sienna Vale clenched her fist tightly, her eyes shining.
With this system, she didn't need magic.
She didn't need battle Spiritual Energy.
Even if the empire threw her into this wasteland to rot, she could still rise.
But as the excitement faded, Sienna Vale's mind cooled down again. She remembered Sienna's memories, remembered the strength of the royal family, remembered the old aristocrats who could crush a marquis house like stepping on an ant.
Her grin slowly weakened.
Revenge?
That sounded good, but it was not something to shout about.
Not yet.
Right now, the truth was simple.
She was still weak.
She was still alone.
If anyone discovered her secret, they wouldn't wait for her to grow. They would kill her before she could even take her second breath.
Sienna Vale sat down slowly on the edge of the bed and stared at her hands.
She wasn't some chosen hero.
She wasn't a genius warrior.
She was just an unlucky person who had been thrown into the wrong body.
But now…
She had one advantage.
A ridiculous advantage.
And as long as she didn't act foolishly, as long as she stayed patient and careful…
This "dead land" might become the place where she started climbing back up.
One step at a time.
Low-key. She had to be low-key.
Sienna Vale repeated those words in her heart again and again, as if they were a warning carved into stone. She had read too many novels to understand this truth. In stories, the protagonist could swagger around the world because the author gave her luck, plot armor, and endless chances. But in real life, if someone acted arrogantly in a strange land, the end would usually be simple.
A quick death.
Right now, Sienna Vale was the last heir of the House Vale. A fallen noble. A woman the emperor wanted to rot away in a wasteland. Even if she had a Spatial Farm, even if she had a system that could help her grow stronger, that didn't mean she was safe. There were too many ways to kill someone in this world. Poison, assassination, curses, traps… she didn't even need to see her enemy for her head to roll off one night.
She was not foolish enough to think her cheat made her invincible.
While she was still thinking, a knock came at the door.
Sienna Vale paused, then replied calmly, "Come in."
The door opened softly, and Tiara stepped inside. She walked in carefully, almost as if she was afraid the floor would creak too loudly. Her head was lowered, her cyan hair falling over her shoulders, hiding most of her expression. She stopped near the doorway and spoke in a quiet voice.
"Young Miss."
That was all. No warmth, no emotion, no extra words.
Sienna Vale looked at her and couldn't help feeling bitter inside. She understood why she behaved like this. Sienna's memories made it painfully clear. The old Sienna had been shameless, always eyeing Tiara with greedy thoughts. She had tried to get close to her more than once, but Tiara had avoided her like she was avoiding a snake. After that, every time she saw her, she would lower her head, say the words "Young Miss," and leave as quickly as possible.
Now, Sienna Vale had inherited the body, and along with it, she had inherited Sienna's reputation.
She sighed quietly. There was no use blaming Tiara. If someone had treated her like Sienna treated her, she would have hated them, too.
"I'm fine," Sienna Vale said gently. "You don't need to stand there. Go rest."
Tiara's body stiffened slightly, as if she hadn't expected her to speak so calmly. Still, she kept her head down.
"Yes, Young Miss."
Sienna Vale hesitated for a moment, then added, "I'm going to sleep for a while. Call me at dinner time."
Tiara nodded again without lifting her eyes, turned around quickly, and left. She closed the door softly behind her, almost like she was afraid of making her angry.
Sienna Vale sat in silence for a moment, then let out another long sigh.
"What a mess Sienna left behind…" she muttered.
