This is a book about beasts and beast tamers, beast taming is the only power system in the story.
Ps: Tamer awaken their beast essence first (beast essence is the special energy in this story like mana, Qi, and Nexus)
Everyone can awaken their beast essence and do not need external aid, you could just wake up one morning and realize that you have awakened it.
After awakening the beast essence, one can then awaken their special ability, which will help them support their beasts in the future. Essence awakening orbs are needed for this process.
One can then form a contract with their first beast after they have awakened their special ability.
