Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: The Dragon Attack

The Dragon faction was already gathering. Due to Acnologia's frantic dragon slaying, they were forced to unite, for he was a monster that stood above even the Dragon Kings.

On a plain, twenty ferocious dragons had gathered. Among them were two Dragon King Level dragons: one was the Rock Dragon King, Aquas, and the other was the Storm Dragon, Vie.

"Rock Dragon King Aquas, we have now gathered twenty of us. We finally have the power to slay Acnologia!" the Storm Dragon King said in a low voice.

Previously, he had intended to slay Acnologia himself. He truly didn't believe that a mere human learning Dragon Slaying Magic could ever surpass a dragon.

"You underestimate Acnologia too much..."

Rock Dragon Aquas shook his head. "I fought him once before. At that time, he had likely only been learning Dragon Slaying Magic for a year, yet our battle ended in a stalemate. So much time has passed since then; that monster's strength is undoubtedly even greater now."

During that battle, he had clearly sensed Acnologia's powerful magic, which was filled with tyranny and madness. By now, he had likely begun to lose his sanity.

"It's a pity the Fire Dragon King didn't accept our invitation. If he were here, there would be no doubt about the success of our operation."

The Storm Dragon King sneered. "The Fire Dragon King is too indecisive, still clinging to his pipe dream of coexisting with humans. The Human-Dragon War must end with the total termination of one side!"

He looked down on Fire Dragon King Igneel the most. How could someone with such naive thoughts be worthy of being called a Dragon King?

If he ever met him one day, he would surely finish off that trash with his own hands!

"Storm Dragon King Vie, I will not allow you to insult the Fire Dragon King!"

A fire dragon spat flames from its mouth. The Fire Dragon King was the strongest of their tribe. Although their stances differed, it didn't hinder his respect.

The Storm Dragon King's cold eyes narrowed, releasing the pressure of a Dragon King. The earth began to tremble, crack, and sink. "What do you think you are? A mere fire dragon, not even a king, dares to judge my rights and wrongs!"

"So what if you're a Dragon King? I'm not afraid of you!"

The fire dragon instantly flew into a rage, its body erupting in flames as its dragon pressure surged, meeting the Storm Dragon King head-on.

Although a Dragon King was strong, killing him wouldn't be that easy!

The other dragons had no intention of stopping them; they were all watching the excitement, even feeling impatient, wondering why they hadn't started fighting yet.

Rock Dragon Aquas felt a slight headache. Although he was Dragon King Level, the dragons under him were all arrogant and unruly. If it weren't for the immense pressure brought by Acnologia, it would have been difficult to gather even twenty dragons.

His massive body appeared between the two dragons, blocking them. "Stop arguing! That's enough! Once Acnologia is dealt with, you can fight however you want!"

"Set out! Attack the Dragnof Kingdom! Nine dragons have already perished there. Such a feat could likely only be achieved by Acnologia!"

"This time, we must kill him and destroy the human kingdom while we're at it!"

...Dragnof Royal City

Acnologia continued to search the library for a magic that could make things bigger or smaller. He had forgotten the specific name of this magic from the anime. After searching for a long time, he finally discovered it was called Form Magic.

Before learning it, he thought it was matter compression. After learning it, he found it wasn't; it was something more magical.

It only changed the form, enlarging or shrinking at the particle level. Growing larger wouldn't weaken the body's hardness, and shrinking wouldn't make one more compact.

"Once I learn it, with my magic power, few people in this world will be able to resist my Form Magic."

At that moment, he suddenly sensed a terrifying magic power approaching from the distant sky. His expression changed slightly, and he rushed out instantly.

"What's going on?"

Meanwhile, the people of the Dragnof Royal City felt the ground shaking. They struggled to stand and reflexively looked up.

Immediately afterward, they saw a green Roar piercing through the sky, crashing into the Dragnof Royal City in an instant, giving no time for anyone to react.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!!

A palace was leveled. Then, the magic power was released and spread. The destructive shockwave was like an exploding mushroom cloud, bathing the entire Dragnof Royal City in a green glow.

"Damn it!"

Acnologia burst forth at his maximum speed, arriving in an instant. He grabbed the green magic power that was about to explode with both hands and opened his mouth to devour it.

He had already regarded the Dragnof Royal City as his private property. That damned dragon actually used a Roar against his royal city; they were truly seeking death!

Those nearby who were fortunate enough to avoid the direct hit of the Roar were all shivering, some even losing their minds, and many had wet themselves from fear.

In that moment just now, they felt as if they were about to die.

But just as they were about to fall into hell, a savior appeared... At this moment, whether they were civilians, soldiers, generals, or ministers, they all knelt on the ground.

Looking at Acnologia's back, it was as if they were looking at a god!

If obeying Acnologia's orders before was purely out of fear, then now it was more out of awe and reverence.

Irene Belserion hurriedly ran out of the palace. Seeing Acnologia devour the Roar, she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

If it hadn't been for Acnologia's quick reaction just now, the royal city would likely have suffered heavy damage.

However, no news had come back from the border cities. Had they been destroyed to the point where they couldn't even send a message?

Irene's expression was grim. Damned dragons, do they really want to wipe out the human race?

Because of the Sage Dragon, she had harbored thoughts of peaceful coexistence with dragons. But now, those thoughts were beginning to fade. To dragons, humans were nothing more than ants to be killed at will.

As her killing intent intensified, a few dragon scales quietly appeared on her arm, hidden beneath her clothes.

Acnologia looked into the distance and sniffed. The scent of dragons—twenty different dragons—and the magic power of two Dragon King Level dragons were rapidly approaching.

"Ha, interesting. Do they think twenty dragons can kill me?"

Although it was his first time facing twenty dragons, he wouldn't choose to run. He had become stronger; today, he would see who would emerge victorious!

Seeing Acnologia's eager expression, Irene couldn't help but worry. She could clearly sense that the dragons in the distance were more powerful than any she had ever seen, and there were many of them.

"The enemy's magic power is terrifyingly strong. I will have all the Dragon Slayer Mages help you. If you are not a match..."

Irene hesitated for a moment and said, "Then you should leave."

Although she didn't want to doubt Acnologia's power, she even less wanted to see him die in battle. As for the kingdom, she would fight to the death.

Acnologia said indifferently, "You haven't seen my true power yet. I hope this is the last time you doubt me. Running away is not my style!"

"There's no need to send anyone to help me!"

"I am the Source of Evil, the Dragon of the Apocalypse, the true King of Dragons!"

Acnologia's face turned ferocious, and a terrifying magic power surged into the sky. A pair of massive black wings unfolded behind him, and then his body began to swell. Soon, his entire being transformed into a dark dragon.

Everyone looked at the massive black dragon that blotted out the sun and fled in all directions in terror.

A dragon!

Acnologia is a dragon!

They had thought Acnologia was a savior, but they didn't expect him to be a monster too!

Hearing the terrified voices below, Acnologia sneered. He had long seen through the hearts of men. Even Irene's dragonification had caused her to be called a monster, let alone him.

However, no one dared to point their swords at him. Otherwise, he would show the world the meaning of true terror.

His dark wings unfurled, and a gale swept through. Everyone was blown away, buildings collapsed, and dust rose everywhere.
