Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Next Day (Completed Rough Draft)

"Amane~"

"Amane~"

The soothing voice of a devilish angel woke me up, accompanied by the ticklish sensation of warm breath against my ear. I cracked an eye open to see a curtain of raven-black hair cascading down, smelling faintly of my shampoo.

"Good morning, Yuuko."

She straddled my hips, her weight settling firmly against my lower stomach. She leaned forward with a sensual dexterity that wasn't good for my heart. The soft pressure of her chest resting atop mine, while her red eyes passionately looked into mine, only helped spark my imaginations once again.

"Oh~ what's this, Amane~"

Where our bodies connected, she ground her hips slowly against mine. The thin fabric of my sleepwear offered zero protection, and the friction sent a jolt of heat straight to my groin. My "stiff brother" twitched in immediate response, eager to play along, but I couldn't let it happen. If I did I wouldn't be able to stop.

I grabbed her waist, halting her dangerous rhythm. "Yuuko, be good. I promise you that you'll get your fill. But..."

"Shhh~," she pressed a slender finger against my lips, silencing my protest. Her red eyes crinkled with amusement. "I know, I know. We have to get ready for school anyways. I'm not trying to be late on my first day!"

I raised an eyebrow, as she still laid on top of me. "Don't you mean your whatever thousandth day?"

"Shut up!" She pinched my side hard. "It's my first day as Kanoe Yuuko, your girlfriend, so every other day doesn't count."

"Pfft. You're right." I chuckled, rubbing the sore spot as she finally rolled off me

...

..

.

The morning air was cool against my skin. The chatter of students filled the street as we walked up the hill toward the school gate.

"Woah, who is she?!"

"Who is that guy next to her? Does he even go to our school?!"

"He's kind of..."

My lovely girlfriend stopped in front of me, spinning on her heel to block my path. She tilted her head, a mischievous glint dancing in her striking eyes as she poked my chest.

"You should carry me~"

"Okay." I answered without missing a beat.

"Really?!" Her eyes widened with excitement.

"Yeah, why not?"

She grinned, stepping closer to up the ante. "Princess carry?"

"Do you want a princess carry?"

"Hm!" She nodded vigorously, her arms already reaching out like a spoiled child.

"Then come on."

I slid one arm behind her back and the other beneath the bend of her knees. With a smooth heave, I swept her off her feet. She was lighter than she looked and not just because she was a ghost. A featherweight burden that settled naturally against my chest. Her arms instinctively looped around my neck, her cool fingers brushing against my nape.

"Hup," I grunted playfully, adjusting her weight as we walked toward the entrance.

The murmurs started low but quickly swelled into a buzz of confusion and excitement. I could hear the distinct click of phone cameras and the scuffing of loafers on pavement as students parted to make a path for us. Under these varying gazes, we arrived to the shoe lockers. I swapped mine with the help of my wonderful girlfriend taking my shoes as I raised one leg at a time.

"Thank you, beautiful."

"No problem, handsome~"

"Heh," I smiled, not at all minding the continuous stares. We had to get her paperwork and get her filed as a student as quickly as possible. I'm sure, though, the school would let her participate without it anyways. Even if they made her take a test, she's long since mastered the changing curriculum. What else was she to do for 60-70 years since her death?

"Fujimiya!"

A male voice snapped me out of my peaceful trance. Yuuko and I turned to see a weird-haired, spiked-up teacher. At a glance, I didn't recognize him until it hit me.

"Pin-Sensei?"

"What do you think you're doing so early in the morning, huh?!"

I stared at him weirdly. "Carrying my girlfriend to the faculty office. She doesn't have indoor shoes yet, so I figured this is only right."

"Ah. Well, I guess you're right. Wait!? WHILE I'M OVER HERE SEEING TINY OLD MEN YOU ARE LIVING THE YOUTHFUL DREAM?!"

"P-Pin-sensei, I'll take whatever punishment, but I do have to hurry."

"Out of my sight! I-I can't take this anymore!"

Pin-sensei ran off just as quickly as he appeared.

"What the fu..."

"Amane! Language."

Yuuko shut my mouth, pinching my lips with her hand.

Nodding my head, I continued along the path, getting to the faculty office.

"Excuse me."

Walking in sucked. The moment I slid the door open, the room went dead silent. The hum of the photocopier and the tapping of keyboards ceased instantly. All of the faculty present bore their eyes into me.

"Fujimiya? Who's the girl?"

"My girlfriend and hopeful transfer student."

"W-What?! I'm single and..."

"Hiratsuka-sensei, please. I already dealt with Pin-sensei."

A faint scent of black canned coffee and tobacco drifted from the woman in the white lab coat. Hiratsuka-sensei stared at me, her sharp gaze softening into one of pity.

"I guess I'll spare you then. You're carrying her because she doesn't have indoor shoes, right?"

"Oh no. I want to spoil her."

"Guh. Are you trying to get hit, kid?" She cracked her knuckles, the sound sharp and threatening in the quiet room.

"Nope!"

"Amane, I can take care of things here if you want to go to class."

"You sure?"

"Yeah, I got it, dear~"

"Okay, come find me after you get whatever you need, and we'll deal with the paperwork."

"Hehe, no need. I've already handled things!"

"Hm?"

"It's a secret!"

"Okay. Muah~"

I pressed my lips against her porcelain cheek. It's smooth and cool feeling hadn't changed, and yielded softly under the pressure. Reluctantly, I lowered her legs to the floor, letting her stand on her own. I walked out without any shame, feeling the lingering phantom sensation of her weight in my arms.

My ego right now was to the moon. I felt a warmth in my chest that made me want to shout to the sky and shout my happiness.
