Chapter 2 - This Time, I Won’t Die

"STOP THE TRAIN!"

Every head in Cabin C turned toward Han Seo-yeon.

For a second, there was only silence.

Then someone laughed.

"What?"

"Is she crazy?"

"Sit down."

Seo-yeon's hands were shaking.

"It's going to explode," she said again, louder this time. "This train is going to explode in a few minutes!"

The announcement crackled through the speakers.

"Attention passengers— please remain calm. Due to an unexpected—"

Static.

Her stomach dropped.

It was happening exactly the same way.

She pushed through people and ran toward the emergency intercom near the door.

The tall man in the dark coat watched her.

Not confused.

Just… observing.

Seo-yeon slammed her hand against the emergency stop button.

Nothing happened.

A red light blinked.

"Unauthorized access."

"No, no, no—"

She grabbed the intercom.

"There's a bomb on this train!" she shouted. "Stop the train right now!"

A bored voice answered from the control room.

"Miss, please calm down. Do not cause panic—"

"It explodes in less than three minutes!" she screamed.

Passengers were staring now.

Some annoyed.

Some nervous.

The train shook slightly.

Her heart almost stopped.

Two security officers entered Cabin C from the connecting door.

"Miss, step away from the panel."

"You don't understand!" she cried. "It already happened! We all died!"

Murmurs spread.

"She's insane."

"Call the police."

The tall man moved closer.

Close enough that she could see his face clearly.

His expression wasn't mocking.

It wasn't scared either.

It was thoughtful.

"On what basis," he asked calmly, "are you saying it will explode?"

She stared at him.

"You were there," she said. "You tried to reach me."

He didn't react.

He just kept looking at her.

The security officers grabbed her arms.

"Please cooperate."

The lights flickered.

Her entire body froze.

Not again.

From the far end of the cabin—

A scream.

Seo-yeon's head snapped toward the sound.

The same man.

Pale skin.

Red eyes.

He grabbed a passenger.

Bit down on his arm.

Blood.

Chaos.

Exactly the same.

Her knees almost gave out.

"I told you," she whispered.

The train suddenly jerked violently.

Metal screeched beneath them.

The emergency lights turned red.

The announcement tried to start again—

"Emergency protocol acti—"

Seo-yeon looked at the tall man.

Their eyes locked.

This time, she didn't feel confused.

She felt terrified.

Because she knew what came next.

"Run!" she screamed.

BOOM.

The explosion swallowed everything.

Heat.

Fire.

Screams.

And darkness.

She gasped.

Coffee.

Perfume.

The metal pole in her hand.

Cabin C.

Again.

Her breathing became uneven.

The child was crying.

The same child.

The tall man stood across from her.

Calm.

Unmoving.

Her body felt weaker.

Like she hadn't slept in days.

Her head hurt.

Her throat burned.

But she remembered everything.

This wasn't a dream.

This wasn't hallucination.

This was real.

She was trapped.

The train slowed toward the station.

The lights flickered.

Someone muttered, "Not again."

Her heart pounded.

But this time—

She didn't scream.

She didn't run.

She didn't touch the emergency panel.

Instead, she looked straight at the tall man.

He was already looking at her.

Watching.

Measuring.

Like he was waiting for something.

The announcement began—

"Attention passengers—"

She leaned slightly toward him and whispered,

"Tell me something."

He raised an eyebrow.

"How many times do you think we've died?"

For the first time—

His expression changed.

Very slightly.

And just before the static cut the announcement—

He answered quietly.

"…At least twice."
