Chapter 7 - Chapter 6 : The ultimate conclusion.

Third person point of view

Oliver woke up and rolled around for a while since it was the weekend anyway. He did his things at a slow pace. He checked the time when he was finally done dressing up and it showed 10:46 AM. He took his phone, wallet and car keys and walked out of the house. He set the GPS based on the address. It was going to take some time.

Oliver played some songs on the way to pass time. He soon reached the area. He stopped in front of the gate. He got out of the car and checked it. It showed that he reached the destination. There was a not so small black gate in front of him and when looked past it, he could see a small villa. He called Christian.

It was picked up pretty quickly. " Hello ". " Hey. I am here ". " Oh. Wait a second ". Oliver took a step back and the black gate opened automatically. His eyebrows shot up. He got in the car and drove it in. He parked it on the side of the motor court. He walked towards the front door and it opened before he reached there.

He saw Christian walk out. Christian smiled when he saw Oliver. " Welcome ". Oliver smiled. Christian was dressed in a loose sweater and jeans unlike his formal attires he wore for work. His hair was also not that meticulously styled and he looked younger. Oliver did think that Christian looked young for his age but the mature dressing still made him feel like he was a little old.

But now, he looked even more handsome. If it meant he would see this kind of look every day, he would not even think twice before agreeing to the marriage. Oliver gulped and smiled. Christian led him in and gave him slippers to wear. He put them on and they walked inside to the living room.

Oliver looked around curiously. The house was very neat and minimalist. But it was warm and had human touch. The first thought he had was Christian must really like the house. It just felt like he put a lot of effort and attention into it. Oliver sat down on the couch. Christian sat on the chair beside.

" Would you like to have something ? " Oliver shook his head. " I had breakfast before coming so I am good ". Christian nodded. Oliver continued to pay attention to the house. " Your house is really nice. Well decorated ". Christian smiled. " Thank you. Would you like a tour ? " Oliver's eyes lit up. " Is that okay ? " " Sure. Come ".

Christian smiled and took him around. Oliver enjoyed the tour. The small villa was very spacious and well decorated. He did not go into all the rooms but he knew they were all also just as good. They went to the backyard at the end which was also not small. There was a pool area to one side with some benches and an outdoor kitchen.

Besides the boundary walls were big trees. They provided some privacy as well. Under the shade there was a bench too. Oliver did want to sit there but the temperature was not right. So he decided against it. They went back inside. Oliver's eyes shone brightly. " It is really nice. I love it. You have good taste ". " Thank you ".

Christian brought some juice for both of them. Oliver took a few gulps and put it aside. " So... what is it that you wanted to talk about ? " Christian pushed his glasses up and looked at Oliver. Oliver didn't really know where to start. He decided to start with a less direct question. " What do you think of me ? "

Christian did not expect such a question and was stunned for a second. He looked down and pursed his lips. " You are a nice person, good looking, talented and earn well too ". Oliver chuckled. " Thank you. I am happy to know you have a good impression of me. But... you know why we met in the first place right ? "

Christian nodded. It was not that he forgot about it but somehow he never thought of it as well. He was getting along well with Oliver and didn't think of anything else. " I think I understand what you want to talk about ". Oliver also felt a bit nervous. " I just followed my heart without thinking much when I met you. And I was really happy every time I met you ".

Christian nodded. Oliver's face was an open book. He could see all his genuine emotions in his eyes. So he had some idea of how Oliver thought of him. " Actually my mother asked me if I came to a decision but this situation is not something that I alone can decide. So I asked you to meet today to talk about it ".

Oliver felt his palms getting sweaty. He rubbed them on his thighs. Christian understood the situation. " My parents also want to know my answer. The thing is... they are worried about me. So they are trying to convince me to get married. The blind date was also their idea ". Both of them were more or less in the same situation.

" Then... what do you think we should do ? " Oliver asked and they both were in a dilemma. Christian looked down at his lap and looked up after a few seconds. He broke the silence. " I might sound a bit hasty but... what do you think of me ? " Oliver blinked, guessing the direction this was going.

Christian was still speaking. " I earn well, I don't smoke and only drink from time to time, I have some savings and property too. My family is all good. I will also try to do my best in the future and be a good partner, so... how about we get married ? " The question was very genuine and pure, almost business-like.

Oliver nibbled on the inside of his cheek. He looked down at his hands. He wouldn't say he didn't like Christian. He did and they were also compatible. But to think he would marry him... he didn't really know how to approach this issue. He looked up at Christian who was silent and waiting for his answer patiently. He took a deep breath.

" I am an only child and I finished graduation on merit. I have a partnership in a bakery and my earnings are also not that bad. I don't smoke too and don't have any properties. Well the bakery is there but it is a different thing. I do have a little amount saved too. I come as a single piece and only myself in the package. And I am someone who will do everything I can for my partner. Are you sure you want to marry me ? " Christian chuckled. Oliver also smiled.

Christian nodded and smiled. " I am fine with it ". " Sure then. Let's get married ". Oliver grinned. He would think about other things after that. They would have enough time to get closer later on. And all ifs have to wait till they happen. Oliver couldn't care any less about them now. Christian was definitely a bit special after all.

Christian smiled wider. He never really was someone to connect to people quickly. But he interacted with Oliver and could feel the difference. What was wrong and what was right can't be decided so quickly but he took a decision he wanted to. And would stand by it to his best. " Thank you ". Oliver shook his head. " No. Nothing like that. It is not like I did not think of it ". Both of them smiled.
