Chapter 21 - Chapter 20 : Dinner date at home.

Third person point of view

They took the packed bags and went to the car. Christian put the bag carefully in the backseat. He turned around and saw Oliver looking at him. " What is it ? " " Actually I might not be going to the cafe now. I am thinking of going home ". That would mean they would take a different route. Christian nodded but did not really get it. " Alright ".

Oliver continued speaking. " So... maybe I should just go to by myself ? " Christian raised an eyebrow. " Why ? " " Wouldn't it be difficult for you ? " " Are you saying it will be a hassle because I need to drive you home ? " " I originally planned on going back to cafe after this and leaving early today... but now I want to go back directly ". Oliver pursed his lips.

Christian tilted his head. " I did not say I mind it though ". Oliver gaped at Christian's answer. Christian took the bag from Oliver's hands and put it in the back seat. He closed the door and turned back around to Oliver. Oliver's heart was beating a bit faster. He cleared his throat. " Fine. How about I drive ? I know the roads well ".

Christian nodded. " Sure ". " Thank you so much ". Oliver grinned. Christian smiled. " Not a big deal ". Oliver went to the driver seat while Christian sat in the passenger seat. Oliver set the GPS to his house and drove away. He felt novel driving Christian's car. He kept glancing at him through the rearview mirror. He slowly stopped the car at the red light.

He looked in the mirror again and froze. It suddenly struck him. If the mirror was always this way, then... he turned to Christian. Christian noticed it and turned to him. " Something wrong ? " Oliver smiled and shook his head. He turned to the front. Then Christian could also see him every time he looked up. He was shocked at the revelation.

He wondered what he did sitting there. He blushed hard. He controlled his expression. " It feels a little weird ? I am the one driving and you are in the passenger seat and that too in your car ". Christian chuckled. " Same here ". Oliver grinned. They soon reached Oliver's house. Oliver parked outside and removed his seatbelt.

" Want to come up ? " Christian was about to reject but Oliver pouted. " Come up and relax a little. You had work in the morning and then this. Let's just have dinner at my house. I will cook. We did plan to have dinner right ? " He looked excited and expectant. Christian nodded. " Fine ". Oliver smiled and they went up.

Oliver took his suit with him. They went to the elevator and waited for it to come down. " Shall I carry it ? " Oliver shook his head. " It is not that heavy ". Christian nodded. The doors opened and they walked in. Oliver pressed the button for his floor and stood back. They reached and Oliver went to his door.

He unlocked it and walked in. " Welcome ". Christian smiled and walked in. " Make yourself comfortable. I will put this away ". Oliver put it on his bed for now and went back to the living room. Christian sat on the couch and looked around. " You have good taste ". Oliver smiled. He sat down beside Christian.

" I don't change houses much. This is only my second house. So I had the time to do a lot ". Christian nodded. " Anyways, what do you want to have for dinner ? I can make you anything ". Oliver looked confident. Christian smiled. " Then do you have everything to make whatever I ask ? " Oliver deflated knowing he got teased but Christian was right.

" Tsk. Let me go check ". He went to the kitchen and Christian followed him. " See I do have a lot of things. I also have rice. Let me make something with it ". Christian nodded. " Need any help ? " " Nope. I am a professional so please just enjoy my service ". He gestured for Christian to sit down.

Christian didn't insist and sat down on the bar seating. Oliver put on his apron and got to work. And Christian had to agree. Oliver was professional indeed. He was doing everything with ease compared to his own amateur cooking. It was oddly satisfying to watch him cook. He just sat there silently without disturbing him.

Oliver also almost forgot about Christian. Kitchen was his zone. He would be really focused when he is cooking. He only looked up when he put everything on the stove and was almost done. He looked embarrassed. " Sorry. I... really sorry ". Christian shook his head. " It is not something to apologize for. It was really nice to watch you cook ".

Oliver chuckled. " It is almost done now. So I can spare my attention ". Christian sat forward with his elbows on the counter. " Are you like this even when baking in the cafe ? " Oliver shrugged. " Kind of. But I have to work along with other people there so I balance everything ". Christian nodded. Oliver was a bit apologetic.

" And... it is just me at home here. I am not used to having someone while I cook and don't need to talk or anything. So I might take some time to get used to it. I will not ignore you from now on ". Christian listened to the solemn promise and smiled. " Alright. I guess I will also disturb you a little from now on when you are cooking ". Oliver chuckled. " Please do ".

The food was done and Oliver brought it to the island. He also took out the cutlery and set them up. Christian was the first one to take a bite and nodded. " Really tasty ". Oliver grinned. " I am happy you like it ". " But how come you even know how to make these kinds of food this well ? " The taste was definitely restaurant level but with a homely touch.

It was perfect in all ways. " You know my friend who has the restaurant right ? We are actually from the same batch but like you said we learnt different things. Back then I liked to know different kinds of recipes and try them because who knows what might inspire me when I bake ? So I always learnt them from his classes. It was fun ". Christian nodded. " Great ".

Both of them chuckled. They finished dinner and cleaned up. " Where are the gloves ? " Oliver shook his head. " No. No. I will clean them. I don't even cook at home much so it is fine. I can clean them in a while ". " Alright ". They sat in the living room. Christian checked his phone and saw the messages Jacob left. He remembered about the honeymoon.

He locked his phone and turned to Oliver. " What do you think about going on a honeymoon ? " Oliver did not see that question coming. His breath got caught in his throat and he coughed a little. He cleared his throat. " What about it ? " " There is a beach resort I got recommended to. If you are fine with it we can go there for a few days ".

Oliver nodded. " Sure ". He did think of it before but Christian never said anything so he didn't bring it up either. He would love to go on one. " It is easier to drive there. We can reach it in 3 hours ". Christian explained about it. " Alright. Let's go. Our wedding is on Monday so how about we go on Wednesday ? " " Sure. We can come back before Sunday ".

Oliver nodded. Christian also gave a nod. " I will make the reservation ". Both of them smiled. They chatted for a while and Christian got up to leave. Oliver smiled and waved as he watched Christian walk into the elevator. Christian called Jacob on his way home. " Yes bro~ " " Help me make a reservation from Wednesday to Sunday ".

" Really ? You are going ? " " Yeah. I asked him ". " Wonderful. Sunday till what time ? " " We will probably checkout in the morning ". " Okay~ Leave it to me ". " Don't do any stupid decorations or extras ". " Bruh~ You are so boring. Fine ". " Thanks ". " It is nothing. Bye~ " Jacob hung up and immediately went to make the reservation with full excitement.
