Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Chapter Seven, Becoming Raiden Mei's Hero (New Book, Please Add to Favorites)

"...Damn it!!!"

After realizing what the girls had done, Bai Ge cursed and rushed out of the classroom.

He never expected that after he reprimanded these girls yesterday, they would do something even more outrageous today.

Bai Ge is unsure what has happened to Raiden Mei to these people, but he is certain of one thing.

Before Kiana existed.

Only I can help her in this academy!

Images of heartbreaking scenes from games he'd seen before flashed through his mind, showing girls reminiscing about their school days. Bai Ge gritted his teeth and quickened his pace.

at the same time.

"...Why are you doing this to me? What did I do wrong?"

Tears welled up in Mei's eyes.

She was huddled in a corner of the changing room wearing only a thin swimsuit. After the swimming lesson, the girls suddenly snatched Mei's clothes and locked her in the changing room.

No matter how much she cried for help, no one responded.

No matter how much she apologized, all she got was sarcasm.

No matter how much she pleaded, she only received ridicule.

"It's so cold, so sad, I don't want to get hurt anymore, I've had enough of this... Anyone, please save me."

Mei's pale purple eyes became incredibly bright at this moment, purple arcs of electricity flickered on the girl's delicate body, and Honkai energy around her gradually intensified.

A new consciousness emerged without anyone noticing; it was whispering, urging, and commanding Raiden Mei to destroy everything.

However, just as this consciousness, with its irresistible omnipotence, was about to bring Mei a new life...

" Mei! Are you in here?!"

clang--!

With a loud bang, the door to the women's changing room was violently kicked open.

A young boy burst in; he had short, snow-white hair and pale golden eyes that showed obvious anxiety and concern.

" Bai Ge...classmate."

Mei stared blankly at the boy who had barged in. In her eyes, he was as dazzling as a prince on a white horse from a fairy tale.

The despair, sorrow, and self-abandonment that had just occurred came to an abrupt end at this moment, like a drowning person finally grasping at the last straw.

Seeing that Mei was alright, Bai Ge breathed a sigh of relief and quickly stepped forward to drape a coat over the girl's shoulders, comforting her that she was alright.

At the same time, he noticed the flickering purple arcs of electricity remaining on the ground around him, and immediately realized that if he had been any later, the consequences might have been unimaginable.

Although the Honkai Energy concentration is certainly not enough for Herrscherization, signs have already appeared.

"Hey~ Mei, you got bullied again, but it's all over now, so don't worry. I'll teach those guys a lesson later."

Bai Ge raised his hand to wipe away the girl's tears. It was only the first time in his life that he had comforted a crying girl, so he seemed a little flustered.

Mei clung tightly to Bai Ge's clothes with her small hands, as if silently pleading with him not to leave.

He hesitated for a moment.

Bai Ge raised his hand and patted her head.

"It's alright now, don't be afraid."

"Hmm, Bai Ge, you've come to help me again..."

"Then give me Mei's bento as payment this time. Um, if you're hungry, then forget it."

"Okay, here you go. Thank you so much, Bai Ge."

An indescribable feeling arose in Mei's heart; she couldn't accurately describe her current mood.

It felt like being suddenly saved by someone when I was in despair and about to give up.

If possible, they wanted to maintain the status quo a little longer, so the two sat together in silence.

The girl lowered her head and clung to Bai Ge's arm, while Bai Ge looked up at the ceiling, thinking about how he would teach those girls a lesson later.

"...Um, what exactly is this dress?" Mei finally spoke first.

"Oh, I borrowed it from the drama club on my way here. Does it fit Mei?"

Bai Ge explained.

Thanks to the system's reminder, he remembered that Raiden Mei's clothes had been taken by those girls.

Otherwise, I'm afraid I'll have to make another trip.

"It's alright, just a little tight."

"..."

It's no wonder she has the best figure among the three starter families; she already has the heart of a giant at such a young age.

Bai Ge glanced at the girl's chest; the buttons on her clothes were bearing an undue strain, as if they would snap and fly off at any moment. (See picture)

"Speaking of which, Bai Ge, you've been calling me by my name since just now," Mei whispered.

"Huh? Really? Oh, sorry, I just said it without thinking. Mei... Raiden Mei, if you don't like it, that's fine." Bai Ge scratched his head.

"No, I don't dislike it!"

"...Is that so? That's good."

Upon hearing this, Bai Ge immediately smiled; he couldn't bring himself to use any other form of address.

After all, Mei has always been the one in the game. When Bai Ge heard Mei's name, he almost forgot for a while that the girl had the surname Lei Dian, just like when they first met yesterday, he almost called her by her name directly.

For people in the Far East, names are only used by close friends or family, but for any captain, they are only used to calling them by the name Mei after Raiden.

"It's me, thank you Bai Ge for calling me that." She smiled as well.

Raiden Mei was really happy that there were still people in the academy willing to call her by her name.

Instead of calling her 'the daughter of a fraudster' or 'the daughter of a sinner'.
