Chapter 1 - Chapter 001

"I'm going to die! I'm going to die! I'm going to die!" Mason yelled as he ran wildly ahead, his tongue lolling out of his mouth.

Behind him, a three-meter-tall wild boar with two sharp tusks charged ferociously. Just as the boar was about to collide with Mason, a giant meatball flew from the sky, hitting the boar at the critical moment.

The massive boar was struck by the giant meatball, its eyes rolled back, and after destroying several giant trees, it met its demise. However, Mason, still running forward with his tongue out, was completely unaware of the anomaly behind him; he had been running in a daze.

Anyone who encountered a three-meter-tall and three-meter-wide wild boar would be frightened out of their wits. Especially an otaku gamer like Mason; being able to run at all in this situation was a feat in itself.

Supported fully by adrenaline, Mason tripped over a protruding tree root without noticing it and fell flat on his face. Feeling like his lungs were going to burst, and experiencing sharp pain all over his body, Mason had only one thought in his mind: I'm going to die.

But after waiting for a long time, nothing happened. The wild boar like a tank behind him had vanished.

The forest was eerily quiet. Rubbing his eyes, Mason stood up, panting heavily, his gaze scanning the surroundings.

Just a while ago, about ten minutes ago, he was playing Minecraft, had just defeated the Ender Dragon, and returned to the Overworld. Then everything went black, and he found himself here, facing a three-meter-tall wild boar.

"Did I transmigrate, or did I get poisoned from eating mushrooms?" He carefully observed his surroundings and, after confirming that the wild boar was truly gone, he leaned against a giant tree to rest.

He pinched himself, feeling the pain, and his hanging heart finally sank; it was not a dream, nor was it from eating mushrooms, but he had indeed transmigrated. "I didn't get a jackpot; why did I transmigrate?

Where's the system? Where's the golden finger? Come out and save me!" As if responding to Mason's call, a perfectly square fruit fell from the giant tree, landing precisely in Mason's hand.

Mason, who had firmly caught it, was stunned for a moment. Looking at the square fruit in his hand, he gazed up at the sky, then back at the fruit.

Although the fruit was square in shape, it was covered in a spiral pattern, and its color was extremely familiar. So familiar that he was still playing with them just ten minutes ago.

Green on top, brown earthy color at the bottom. At first glance, it looked like a grass block.

"This can't be a Devil Fruit, can it?" He stood up and looked around.

Then he saw the giant trees lined up behind him, and the figure of a fat man, and the dead wild boar. Seeing the figure of the fat, pockmarked man, he exclaimed, "Alvida?!" "This is indeed the world of the Pirate King. So, is this fruit the Slippery-Slippery Fruit? No, that's pink; this is clearly not." Mason quickly looked around and found the pink fruit in the forest, which was quite easy to spot.

Of course, the main reason was that the pink fruit was also very close to Mason. Looking at the two Devil Fruits in his hand, Mason still felt a sense of unreality.

But soon, he gave in to the temptation of the Slippery-Slippery Fruit. Looking at the square fruit, he thought, "What the heck!" The initial bite was crunchy, but soon the flavor filled Mason's mouth.

The taste was sweet, sour, bitter, spicy, salty, musky, and rotten - countless flavors mixed into one. The flavor instantly hit his head, like a homeless person who hadn't bathed in twenty years was washing his feet in Mason's mouth.

He managed to swallow the Devil Fruit in his mouth, and tears involuntarily welled up in his eyes. "The taste is awful." Although a Devil Fruit only required one bite to grant its powers, Mason still ate the entire fruit.

Swallowing the last bite, Mason felt his soul about to ascend. Fortunately, the flavor came and went quickly.

His vision began to blur. He stared at his body, and no abnormalities appeared.

The handsome young man was still a handsome young man. His thin, boneless body was still the same.

"Hissing... It won't have any effect, will it? Or is this just a special fruit from the Pirate King's world? Is it hard to eat?" He stroked his chin and looked at the giant tree beside him.

A strange feeling spread from the depths of his heart. Following the feeling, he walked towards the giant tree.

He reached out and tapped the wood. It didn't require much strength, but it created a crack in the wood.

Accompanied by the sound of splintering wood, "Pop." The wood transformed into a small block and fell to the ground, then was pulled by Mason and eventually entered his backpack.

He instinctively opened his backpack. Then Mason saw a familiar yet strange scene: Steve's player inventory in Minecraft, My World.

He placed the log on the 2x2 crafting grid, and four planks were derived from it. He made a crafting table and placed it on the ground.

Only then did Mason realize what he had done, followed by ecstasy. His golden finger had arrived.

But why did the golden finger appear as a Devil Fruit? If he couldn't figure it out, he wouldn't think about it.

To become rich, first cut down a tree. The process of opening up the wilderness, which was ingrained in his bones, began very smoothly.

He made a wooden pickaxe and started digging straight down. However, after digging for a while, there was only dirt underground.

After his backpack was almost full of dirt, he finally hit stone. After digging three stones, the wooden pickaxe retreated.

Naturally, Mason started mining using the fishbone mining method. Torch?

None. A real man never uses a torch.

Finally, looking at his backpack full of stones and dirt, he muttered, "Why is this mining trip so bad? Wait... I'm not playing a game!" He quickly returned to the surface.

Alvida was still lying there, seemingly unconscious. Mason then felt a bit troubled.

What to do? Alvida was an antagonist character in the early anime.

After eating the Slippery-Slippery Fruit, she became beautiful and also seemed to become much better. At this time, Alvida, who had been unconscious until now, slowly woke up.

Opening her eyes, she saw a man staring at her with a strange gaze. "Boy, have you never seen a beautiful woman before?!" "....." Mason rolled his eyes.

He looked at the Slippery-Slippery Fruit in his hand. "I have it, but you're not a beautiful woman right now." "What did you say?!" Alvida, a woman who looked plump, her hair disheveled, clearly couldn't tolerate this, as she valued her appearance highly.

She stood up, intending to teach the man in front of her a lesson. But as soon as she stood up, a sharp pain pierced her stomach, directly clearing her anger bar.

"I'll give you a choice: follow me, and I'll give you beauty no less than the Pirate Empress." "What did you say?!" Alvida's eyes widened immediately; the pain in her stomach couldn't affect her.

She stood up, her gaze like a fierce wolf, white mist even puffing out of her nose. Clearly, she was very excited.

"How?" "Can you really give me the Empress's beauty?" "First, the beauty is no less than that Empress. You must understand that a woman's beauty is different. I can guarantee that if you follow me, any man will sincerely praise you as a beauty." Mason painted a big picture.

To this, Alvida replied, "This picture smells good!" However, her remaining rationality told her to look at something practical.

But before she could speak, Mason shook the Devil Fruit in his hand. "Do you recognize this? This is called a Devil Fruit. The Straw Hat, who sent you flying, ate a Devil Fruit. If you eat this, you won't only be able to take revenge but also become beautiful."
