as at 5:30am in the morning i rushed out of the bed to the shower room to take my bath when i heard grandma yelling at me from the dining room'
"yes am coming " i yelled at her back while coming out of the bathroom cleaning my body and dressed i rushed to the dinning'
''good morning grams'', i greeted her as i sat down to eat my breakfast.''how are u child? how was your night ? grandma asked." i slept well" i answered as i quickly rushed my food some minutes later i rushed out of the small house i and grandma live.
as about fifteen minutes later i arrived school and started receiving pleasantries from both students and teachers which i never expected from rich kids. i was so on scholarship here at st marys middle and high school, at first when i got admission into st mary's high school i never planned of attending the school because it was rich kids school and i wasn't even close to being rich because the thought of being bullied which i was totally wrong because the offered me so many things including candies and food but due to the fear of being tagged a beggar i never considered collecting anything from them.
As i got close to the class i heard one of my classmate yell to me .
Aria!!! I turned to her smiling
Hi, you are finally here "she said to me " while coming closer to me .
"The teacher wants to see you during break period .i think it might be because of another competition "she said out of displeased.
I smiled. She doesn't love seeing me study at all.and she knows i will study twice as i used to if there was any competition.
"You will start reading and won't have time for me again she complained".
As i noticed her mood i had to calm her down by trying to convince her that is not even a competition yet.
Then i went out to the teacher's office .
"Are u Aria she asked ", i answered yes.
"How is your grandmother "? She asked .
" She's fine and ok" i answered.
"Ok you know why i called you here" she said, there's another maths competition coming up next month and since your one of our best student we will like you to represent us there, we know you can win and trust you very much .but if you feel you can represent us is fine . we understand you .
"I'll do it .i will represent the school i said . Thank you !thank you ! She said happily and thanked me .
Immediately i stood up, bow my head and left her office .
And out was may outside waiting for me "is it about the competition she asked .
I chucked.
Yes i answered her .
Why did u accept it ?why ? The main reason am in this school today is because of my intelligence and I can't bury it i groaned "
"look at being proud" she said when pointing her finger on my forehead.
dragging me she said there is someone waiting for mr at the rooftop,
confused! i asked where she was dragging me to." someone is waiting is waiting for me" she said still dragging me to the roof. after some minutes we burst out to the rooftop seeing someone backed me standing at the edge of the room." who is there i asked"?as we moved closer it became clear to me that it was a male student.
"am Zain ".
"am Aria" i replied.
it nice to finally speak with you after so many months.
"i heard you are the most beautiful girl in the college" he said.
"i heard your birthday is coming is soon". i know you don't have a boyfriend. when is your birthday date will i be able to take you on a date.
from the few things he just said i thinking i have fallen for him. his voice was very cool .
"ok i think i will leave you now"he said
okay! "i mumbled" while leaving.

after the days class,she drove me home as normally did.she kept asking me what Zain told me earlier that day i kept telling if we reached home.
in mind i kept thinking on all Zain told me earlier that day about but honestly if he asked me out i would have accepted but i have a goal to attain i don't think i will need a boyfriend, and my grandma wont be happy if she finds out.
"hey" i heard i cool voice from behind
"hey" i replied.
"so what do u say aria "he asked.
i don't think i will be ready for relationship now. Zain i faced down and left without waiting for his response
