I sat on a broken chair inside the ruined restaurant where I had been eating earlier, my eyes fixed on my phone screen.
The global alert was still flashing.
HIGH ALERT:
All national borders are now sealed.
Military enforcement has been authorized.
This decision has been agreed upon by most world leaders for global safety.
My jaw dropped.
"What kind of bullshit is this…?" I muttered.
Kuttar bacharach.
(So-called great leaders.)
"What kind of brain-dead decision is this?" I cursed under my breath.
"So now I can't even return to Beijing?"
My thoughts twisted in frustration.
But then another question hit me—
Where did all those creatures go?
The streets outside were eerily silent. Too silent.
I stood up slowly, scanning the surroundings, trying to piece things together.
Suddenly—
VROOOOM.
A loud engine roared nearby.
I flinched and turned toward the sound.
A man stepped out from a damaged vehicle.
He was tall—around six-foot-five—broad-shouldered, probably in his mid-forties. His expression was calm, but his eyes were sharp.
He looked at me and said in Bangla,
"Oi Sala, tui ki janos ekhane ki hoise?"
(Hey, do you know what happened here?)
I stared at him for a second.
Then replied casually,
"Ki bhai, apni janen na?"
(What, brother, you don't know?)
He frowned slightly.
"…Tor ki mone hoy ami tor shathe moja kortesi?"
(Do you think I'm joking with you?)
I clicked my tongue.
"No shit. You think I'm joking either?"
His expression darkened.
"Then why ask me such a question?" I shot back.
He opened his mouth to reply—
But before a single word came out—
A low growl rolled through the street.
Deep. Wet. Wrong.
The man stiffened.
And then—
BOOM.
Something punched straight through his chest.
Blood exploded outward.
His eyes widened in disbelief as he looked down at the massive hole in his torso.
He tried to speak.
No sound came out.
Then his body collapsed.
I froze.
Behind him stood a monster.
It had a pig's snout, a lion's mane, and a twisted human face, all stitched together onto a humanoid body. Its mouth curved into a horrifying grin as it slowly licked the blood coating its clawed hand...
My eyes widen then i took a step back and the creature like enjoying my reaction with playfull smile saying something in god knows what language...And i tripped back beacause of a lying body and fell in the Ground and seeing this the monster burst into a creepy laughter...But in the next moment with a swish his head drops...blood drips from a ram dao and when i looked infront there was really beautiful women.
My eyes widened, and I instinctively took a step back.
The creature seemed to enjoy my reaction. With a playful, twisted smile, it spoke something in a language only God knew.
I stumbled backward, tripping over a lifeless body, and fell to the ground.
Seeing this, the monster burst into creepy laughter.
But in the very next moment—
Swish.
Its head dropped to the ground.
Blood dripped from a ram dao.
I stared forward in shock.
Standing there was a beautiful woman, calm and composed.
In a commanding tone, she said,
"I am Military Officer Tua. Survivor, please come with me."
I snapped out of my dazed state, stood up, and followed her.
After a few minutes of walking, we arrived at a factory. As soon as we entered, she closed the door behind us.
Both of us let out a sigh of relief.
I was just about to ask her a question when—
"Ma'am!"
A teenager, probably around sixteen years old, came running toward us.
"Are you alright?" he asked anxiously.
"Yes, I am," she replied. "Where are the rest?"
"They're in the storage room," he answered.
Then his eyes finally landed on me.
With a frown, he asked in Bangla,
"Ma'am, apni ekta baire lok ke keno bachalen?"
(Ma'am, why did you save a foreigner?)
She looked at him calmly and replied,
"Sultan, what kind of question is that?"
"Yes, he might be a foreigner," she continued,
"but more than that, he is a human. And as a human being, it is my duty to save another human."
The boy fell silent and said nothing more.
I barely registered their conversation.
My mind was occupied with only one thought—
What do I do next?
And more importantly…
How do I survive in this apocalypse?
