Chapter 73 - Chapter 73: The Male Lead Arrived?

The bright moon hung high in the sky, and the stars shone brilliantly. In front of the floor-to-ceiling window of a hotel room, Shane tasted expensive wine, admiring the breathtaking sky and sea above his head.

In a flash, a month had passed since killing Azazel.

On the day he killed Azazel, he parted ways with Miss Meg. Meg decided to defect to Lilith. On one hand, it could reduce the trouble caused by betraying Azazel. On the other hand, Lilith would break Lucifer's seal and let Lucifer reappear in the human world.

When Meg left, Shane gave her a Flying Thunder God kunai and incidentally left a hidden Flying Thunder God mark on her.

Afterward, Shane called the Winchester brothers to tell them the good news that the Yellow-Eyed Demon had been killed by him, asking them to tell John to stop tossing about everywhere if they contacted him.

The Yellow-Eyed Demon was dead; the family's vengeance was considered avenged. Although their destiny nine out of ten times wouldn't change because of this, at least they could enjoy the short-lived family happiness more.

The Winchester brothers couldn't believe it at first. That was the Yellow-Eyed Demon their family had tracked for so long. Such a powerful demon just died like that?

This result was too sudden for them; they were completely psychologically unprepared.

The Yellow-Eyed Demon died, vengeance was avenged, and they could reunite with their father as a family. This was the result they looked forward to and longed for the most!

After confirming repeatedly that the Yellow-Eyed Demon was really dead, the Winchester brothers expressed their thanks to Shane very solemnly. At the same time, they agreed to find Shane to thank him in person after finding their father and explaining the situation.

After hanging up the Winchester brothers' call, Shane called Olivia at the Hunter Bar again to ask about the renovation progress.

As a result, he unexpectedly learned that Serena had actually come with the designer. Although she was somewhat disappointed not to see Shane, she was very interested in the Hunter Bar matters and stayed there for almost a week before having to return to New York.

Jo hadn't returned to the bar yet, and the bar renovation would take at least three months. Shane decided to continue the interrupted solo road trip. Starting from Colorado, changing direction, passing through Kansas, Missouri, and Illinois, returning to Wisconsin where the Hunter Bar was located.

Choosing this route was because the route he came with Jo didn't encounter any supernatural events, so naturally, he had to change the route when going back.

Also, Kansas was the Winchester brothers' hometown. After they moved away, supernatural events happened in the old house, gathering quite a few ghosts. Even their mom's soul was here.

In the TV show, their mom's soul sacrificed the last bit of soul power to save them and then disappeared.

Now... although Shane found the Winchester brothers' old house when passing through Lawrence, Kansas, he didn't see any ghosts or monsters, nor did he see their mom's soul.

He didn't know if it was because the time was wrong or because the Yellow-Eyed Demon's death made the demon blood in Sam's body temporarily ineffective, so those supernatural creatures no longer tracked the traces of their appearance, and thus no supernatural events happened in the old house.

A wasted trip. Shane left a Flying Thunder God mark and continued on the road. More than a month later, he was now in Rockford, Illinois.

Many places have their own supernatural legends, such as haunted houses, abandoned hospitals, or human heads soaking in toilets. Rockford also had such a legend. It was a place called the Roosevelt Asylum.

The asylum had been abandoned, surrounded by iron mesh fences, with signs prohibiting entry posted in conspicuous places.

It is said that ghosts of patients appear here. If you spend the night here, the ghosts will drive you crazy.

But the more it is like this, the more it makes those who like adventure and consider themselves bold want to go in and find out, especially children, who always break in disobediently.

Nine out of ten legends are fictional, fake. But the legend of this asylum is true. When Shane came here and heard this legend from the restaurant waiter, he remembered this was one of the adventure points in the Winchester brothers' TV show!

There are ghosts here, and not just one!

Knock knock knock.

A knock on the door suddenly sounded. Shane turned around not surprisingly and walked to the door to open it.

Outside the door were two young people, a man and a woman.

"Hi, Sam, Kat." Shane greeted with a smile.

"Hi." The blonde girl named Kat raised her hand in response.

"Sam" said somewhat awkwardly, "Hey, brother, my name isn't Sam; my name is Gavin."

Shane shrugged. "Sorry, you really look like a person I know named Sam."

The Sam Shane mentioned didn't refer to Sam Winchester. The boy named Gavin in front of him didn't look similar to Sam Winchester either.

Gavin and Kat were a couple. They were the male and female leads of the asylum episode in Supernatural. Of course, with the Winchester brothers present, their true identities should be supporting characters.

The reason Shane called Gavin "Sam" was because he looked exactly like the male lead of the fifth movie in the Final Destination series (Sam Lawton).

The three met in the restaurant. At that time, Shane was asking the waiter about the legend of the asylum. After hearing it, Gavin chatted with Shane while his girlfriend went to the restroom. It turned out he had a date with his girlfriend tonight and wanted to give her a surprise. Hiding it from her, he set the date location at the asylum. Just happening to hear Shane was interested in the asylum, he made an appointment to explore together tonight.

If he hadn't recognized their identities, Shane would have even suspected Gavin was deliberately setting a trap for him to rob him after tricking him into the asylum.

A date, a date with a girl at night. Wouldn't it be fragrant (better) to go to a movie or get a room?

Actually going to a "haunted house" to explore?

That aside, girls are timid. The environment is dark and scary. Just like watching a horror movie, it's easy to bring the relationship closer. But isn't it a bit excessive to bring a newly met third wheel along?

Have you considered the girl's feelings?

Pah, straight man!

"You live in a suite alone?"

Kat didn't know yet how terrible tonight's date would be. After entering the room, she exclaimed to Shane with some surprise, "You must be very rich, right?"

"I won't lend the room to you." Shane teased, "But I can open a suite for you out of friendship. As for whether you'll still be in the mood to stay then, I don't care."

"Really?" Gavin was somewhat excited.

Although Kat was also very excited, she was somewhat embarrassed. "Thank you for your kindness, but no need. I think Gavin should be prepared, right?"

Gavin smiled sheepishly and didn't answer.
