Chapter 2 - Episode 1: Why me?

If you're wondering what I was doing before I died, the answer is…nothing productive.

I was in my room, lights off, curtains closed, and my pc glowing like it was heaven inside hell.

Another day of recording my gameplay. Another day of proving that boredom can, in fact, be a lifestyle.

My unemployed life wasn't glamorous, but it was peaceful.

No alarms, no bosses, and—most importantly—no expectations.

Just me, my chair, my headphones on maximum volume, and an empty cup of instant noodles.

People online thought I was living the dream.

"Wow, so many views!"

"Your voice is so calming!"

"Your reactions are funny!"

Yes, that is me… on the outside.

Ahhh, st—f*!. It's chasing me!

ARGHHH. I hate my LIFE! Die already!

Damn boss. Why. Won't. You. DIE!?

Yes. Just a normal day while gaming.

Everything was normal.

Too normal.

Just then, my screen flickered.

I thought it was just lag, at first.

Then the room got…cold.

Not the type of cold an AC gives.

More like someone just opened a door to a freezer full of nightmares.

I turned around.

Bad Idea self.

There was something behind me.

Not a person. Not a shadow.

Just…wrong.

My brain screamed, yet my mouth stayed calm.

And then—

The world tilted.

The light disappeared.

My screen flickered once more, it seemed to tell me something as it featured the horror game I had just downloaded.

"Motherfu—"

My bedroom was gone.
