Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 : Innate Divine Strength

[Wind Release Foundation (White): Your perception of Wind-nature Chakra is relatively keen, and manipulation is smoother. Efficiency and success rate are slightly increased when learning and performing basic Wind Release Ninjutsu.]

"Wind Release Foundation..."

Shinichi silently took a white test paper from the drawer, and moments later, the paper burned up.

"Heh..."

Looking at the remnants of the burned test paper in his hand, Shinichi fell silent again, then suddenly laughed.

People really do laugh when they are speechless.

Fire-nature.

His Chakra nature is pure Fire.

His Personal Panel is an aggregator of external perception and enhancements. The entries, solidified by the impressions of the world, provide him with various buffs: [Intelligent] increases thought speed and comprehension, [Diligence] strengthens focus and reduces fatigue, [Sturdy] enhances physical fitness... However, his inherent talent values are not displayed on the Personal Panel, nor do they generate corresponding entries.

For instance, he can refine Chakra and possesses Fire Release Chakra, but entries like [Ninja Talent] or [Fire Release Chakra] do not appear on the panel.

The Personal Panel is essentially an "External Equipment Slot" condensed from external perception; the entries on it are all equipment.

The outside world believes he has "outstanding intelligence," so an equipment piece named [Intelligent] that increases intelligence was generated for him, which has no direct connection to his innate intelligence level.

Therefore, the [Wind Release Foundation (White)] equipment is currently an item he, a pure Fire-element character, cannot wear or activate.

"It's not completely useless." Shinichi shook his head, only able to comfort himself this way.

Generally speaking, acquiring a new Chakra Nature Transformation later in life requires reaching Jonin-level strength and insight, along with long and arduous effort.

Possessing the [Wind Release Foundation] entry will, at the very least, save him a lot of trouble when he eventually tries to access the Wind nature.

But for now... it is ultimately just a useless decoration.

Shinichi walked to the window, looked out at the tranquil Village in the night, where the outline of the Hokage Rock was faintly visible under the starlight. He was about to close the panel.

But suddenly, the panel changed again!

The Sturdy (White) entry suddenly emitted a vibrant green glow, shattered explosively the next moment, and a new green line of text was generated.

[Innate Divine Strength (Green): You possess physical power surpassing the mortal realm; muscle strength, stamina, and explosive power are all enhanced, allowing you to easily achieve feats of heavy lifting and destruction unattainable by ordinary people.]

Shinichi froze for a moment, instantly feeling his heart give a heavy thump. Immediately following, a strong, powerful, mercury-heavy, thick warm current of blood began in his heart and rapidly spread along the body's blood vessels, bones, and major tendons to the waist, arms, legs, and other major parts of the body, followed by an unprecedented feeling of fullness and strength.

"Heh... Heheheh..."

Feeling the surging, tangibly explosive power within him, Shinichi lowered his head, his shoulders shaking slightly, and laughter finally spilled uncontrollably from the depths of his throat.

Kakashi!!!

...Meanwhile, at the Hokage Office.

The lighting was soft, files were piled high, and Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen was reviewing a report while puffing on his pipe.

Every school opening season, tasks are always a bit more complicated than usual. For this, he had to "invite" his two old partners—Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu—to work overtime with him.

In the slightly quiet office, Utatane Koharu seemed to recall something, her tone carrying her usual conservatism and fastidiousness: "Speaking of which, I did hear something. A new student today, quite young, yet his behavior was rather erratic. He actually carried a very conspicuous large rock to the school registration, attracting a crowd at the entrance. These children nowadays are truly worrying; Ninja should prioritize composure."

Mitokado Homura lifted his head from the files and smiled, his tone relatively relaxed: "Oh? Sounds like he has quite a bit of strength. Koharu, it's harmless for children to have a bit of youthful vigor and show off a little, as long as they don't disrupt order."

Sarutobi Hiruzen's hand holding the pipe paused, and smoke slowly exhaled. The scene he had accidentally glimpsed during the day using the Crystal Ball appeared in his mind: a small figure carrying a massive boulder utterly disproportionate to his size, moving with heavy but steady steps.

"I have some impression of this child. His name should be Shinichi, right?" The Third Hokage nodded and spoke slowly: "It was indeed heavy. The weight of that rock would be extremely difficult for a child his age, even with Chakra assistance. And he... seemed to have carried it purely relying on physical strength."

"Purely relying on physical strength?" Mitokado Homura adjusted his glasses, smiling with a hint of surprise: "Hiruzen, it seems this young fellow named Shinichi has a good physique. He should be a promising candidate for training Taijutsu."

A moment later, the Third Hokage nodded: "He is indeed a promising candidate."

Hearing this, Utatane Koharu said nothing, but she gained a slight impression of the child named Shinichi in her mind.

The Hokage Office returned to tranquility, with only the rustling of turning files and the faint sound of tobacco burning.

Two days later, after two days of registration and supplementary enrollment, the Ninja Academy officially started classes.

Shinichi maintained his habit of several years, heading out for morning training at four in the morning.

By the time the morning light was faint, he had finished training, washed up, and arrived at school precisely a quarter of an hour before class began.

He crossed the still-quiet playground and entered the teaching building.

The door to Class Two, Grade One, was open, and the unique, lively noise of children emanated from inside. Shinichi stepped into the classroom, his gaze calmly sweeping over the seats, which were mostly occupied.

Kakashi Hatake, Might Guy, Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma Sarutobi, Uchiha Obito, Rin Nohara... the figures corresponding to the names he was quite familiar with from his memory.

Not a single one of them was in this classroom.

This is great!

Shinichi could only comfort himself with the words of Lao Feng, but then, upon reflection, he realized this wasn't bad at all.

Although Kakashi had been the center of attention since birth and enjoyed the reputation of a Genius from a young age, that title was somewhat unsubstantiated.

Only when he uses repeated, undeniable classroom performances, Ninjutsu executions, and combat dominance—especially when crushing peers like the Hokage's son, who are also highly regarded—can his Genius title be solidified from unsubstantiated rumor into recognized fact.

'As for me, achieving victory during his most dazzling moment, on the stage where his reputation is most solid, will yield the best results.'

Moreover, even if they are in different classes, the Ninja Academy's combat exercise classes and regular assessments will inevitably have the two classes clash, not to mention the mid-term and final comprehensive exams for the entire grade.

'It's just slightly adjusting the angle of the spotlight.'

Shinichi quickly thought to himself, his gaze sweeping the classroom again. The seats were mostly full now, and his sight finally landed on the spot in the upper right corner by the window—a three-person long desk, where only one girl was currently sitting.
