Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Blood Disaster Descends, Competing for Weather, Wu Ku Retreats

In the blink of an eye, a month had quietly passed.

Soon, Bo City welcomed the long-awaited duel between Mo Fan and Yu Ang.

This duel became the talk of the city. Many were eager to witness the clash between two young geniuses.

Unfortunately, the duel was held within the Mu Family estate, and only those invited by Mu Zhuoyun could attend.

Wang Feng had originally received an invitation, but he didn't bother to go.

After all, he already knew how this match would end.

Instead of wasting time watching a battle with no suspense, he would rather stay at Wang's Medical Clinic, heal a few more patients, earn some money, and see if he could "open" more talent blind boxes from them.

As expected, the outcome of the duel was no surprise.

Mo Fan easily defeated Yu Ang by revealing his second element, earning the qualification to cultivate in the Earth Holy Spring.

But in Wang Feng's eyes, the so-called cultivation in the Earth Holy Spring was nothing more than a joke.

The spring was already nearly dried up; sitting above the waters and absorbing the faint remnants of aura was pathetically inefficient—slower than his own training.

What's more, after replicating the Water System Calamity talent, his cultivation speed was downright monstrous.

The free-floating water elements in the world seemed drawn to him endlessly, pouring into his Water Stardust.

In just one month, his Water Element had soared from Initial Level One to Intermediate Level One.

He smiled faintly to himself.

"I wonder how Wu Ku will react when he discovers someone else is fighting him for control over the rain clouds?"

Wang Feng gazed at the bright sky above Bo City, his expression calm but expectant.

"Huh? Brother Wang, why are you at school?" Zhang Xiaohou was stunned when Wang Feng suddenly appeared in Tianlan Magic High.

Just as the blood disaster was about to begin, Wang Feng had made a rare appearance at the school.

"Why can't I come? I'm still a student here, after all." Wang Feng's tone carried a teasing smile.

Because he was a Healing Mage, the best way to rapidly improve his cultivation was through practice.

Ever since he reopened Wang's Medical Clinic, the school had largely stopped interfering with him.

By his senior year, after displaying his Intermediate-level Healing System, the school practically regarded him as having graduated early.

This was, in fact, his first appearance in class during his entire senior year.

"So you still remember you're a student, huh?" Wang Sanpang muttered under his breath.

Wang Feng ignored him. Instead, his gaze softened as it landed on Zhang Xiaohou.

"Since you've called me Brother Wang all these years, I'll help you out this time."

Wang Feng patted Zhang Xiaohou's shoulder, then walked out of the classroom without explaining further.

Zhang Xiaohou blinked, confused, watching Wang Feng's back fade away.

"Xiaohou, why would Wang Feng suddenly say something like that?" He Yu asked curiously.

"I don't know…" Zhang Xiaohou scratched his head, genuinely puzzled.

He Yu tugged his sleeve gently. "Why don't we go to the infirmary for a check-up? Just in case."

Although Zhang Xiaohou didn't feel sick, Wang Feng's words left a seed of unease in his heart. He nodded.

"Alright, let's go see."

Meanwhile, Wang Feng arrived at the top floor of the teaching building. His eyes locked onto the thick, dark clouds gathering above Bo City.

He could feel the surging water elements within them, and his lips curved.

"Let's see if this rain dares to fall."

Closing his eyes, he activated his Water System Calamity talent. A dark blue glow radiated from his body as he extended his control over the rain clouds.

If Wu Ku could shroud Nanling in calamity rain, then Wang Feng was confident he could keep Bo City completely dry.

Almost instantly, the clouds above Bo City bent to his will.

Deep within, he sensed something else—an unusual violent spring sealed in the storm.

"Good stuff. I'll be taking this."

With precise control, he separated the violent spring from the rainwater, condensing it into a murky-yellow droplet. With a wave, the droplet descended into a specially crafted container.

At the same time, on the outskirts of Bo City—

A black-robed priest bowed before Wu Ku.

"Master, everything is ready. The Winged Cang Wolf's body has already been delivered to Bo City by Gray One."

Wu Ku's expression softened in false compassion. After chanting "Amitābha," he began the summoning ritual.

But within moments, his brow furrowed.

Something was wrong.

He could only control the clouds above Nanling. The storm over Bo City was already claimed—someone else had seized the weather's core.

His expression hardened.

"Damn it! A hidden master in Bo City? Cancel the plan immediately. Notify Huzin and evacuate all forces!"

Without hesitation, Wu Ku donned his bamboo hat and vanished into the darkness.

At Mu Family's residence, Mu He's face twisted in anger as he received the report.

"What? The plan is canceled?"

"Yes," the subordinate said, trembling. "The Master said Bo City hides a Water Element mage of at least Super-level. We cannot compete."

Mu He clenched his fists, his voice filled with unwilling rage.

"How can a small city like this hide a Super Mage…! Damn it! Retreat!"

Back at Tianlan High, Wang Feng stood atop the building for a long while, waiting.

But no one challenged him for control of the storm.

Only when a thunderous roar erupted from the Silver Trade Building and the bloody alert finally flashed across the sky did he open his eyes.

"They really gave up on the rain summoning?"

His gaze swept across the clouds, thoughtful, before he silently blended into the school's evacuation teams.

He had promised Zhang Xiaohou he would help, and Wang Feng never broke his word.

Besides, he was curious to see how fate would change now that He Yu did not meet her original tragedy.

Sure enough, with Wang Feng's intervention, the incident of He Yu sacrificing herself for Zhang Xiaohou never happened.

The teachers and students of Tianlan High all safely reached Bo City's inner city, shaken but unharmed.

And from healing an injured freshman along the way, Wang Feng unexpectedly replicated a new innate talent—
