Chapter 10 - Chapter 10: Going a Bit Too Far Again

"Don't try to tank it! Use your mobility!"

"I don't like teaming up with Erza, but taking down this bastard Chu Yan is the priority!" Mirajane declared.

Chu Yan looked helpless. "Hey, hey! Is it really okay to discuss tactics right in front of me? I'm just completing a mission; you don't have to hate me this much!" He felt like the Boss Battle BGM was about to start playing.

"Actually, my mobility isn't bad either!" In the anime, Whitebeard almost always stood still, but the reason was simple: his body couldn't handle intense movement anymore. Even walking a few steps was a problem, so he had to watch the three Admirals jump around him while he had a hostage to worry about. Everyone felt it was a tragedy—not that Whitebeard died, but that people never got to see how powerful he was in his prime.

Chu Yan, however, was currently very close to that prime. He stomped his foot. BOOM! The ground beneath him exploded as he vanished, reappearing instantly in front of Elfman using the power of vibrations.

For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Vibrations can destroy everything, but they can also act upon one's own body to achieve high-speed movement. To Chu Yan, this felt faster than the "Soru" of the Navy's Six Powers, though it put a significant strain on the body. The stronger the body, the more power it could endure.

He usually avoided using this because a slight excess of force would cause an earthquake, leading to disaster—one of the main reasons he was called a "Humanoid Natural Disaster." He only used this in remote areas or when absolutely necessary.

Elfman, who had just been sent flying, couldn't react in time. A fist buried itself into his abdomen. "Waaah!"

"You've worked hard. Have a good sleep!"

"The first one!"

"Elfman!" Mirajane cried out in panic as she saw her brother go down.

BOOM! A ripple surged through the air, striking Mirajane. She was sent flying backward until she disappeared from sight.

"The second one!"

"So fast!!!" Everyone was horrified. In less than a blink, Chu Yan had defeated both Elfman and Mirajane.

BOOM! With another roar of force, Chu Yan appeared next to Natsu.

Natsu gasped. "Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!"

Chu Yan reflexively met Natsu's punch with his own. "——!"

"Waaaah!!" Natsu clutched his arm and screamed as he was blasted backward.

"The third one!"

BOOM!

"Gray, get out of there!" Erza screamed.

Gray didn't even have time to use his Maker Magic before Chu Yan's leg slammed into his stomach. "Guh... ack!" His eyes bulged as he clutched his midsection and collapsed to the ground.

"The fourth one!"

Cana slumped to the ground. "It's no use! I'm no match for him!"

Lying on the ground, Natsu struggled to yell at her, "Don't give up, Cana! Your opponents aren't just Chu Yan, there's also Erza and Mirajane! You have to hold out until the end! This is no time to quit!"

Erza shouted, "He's right! We still have a chance! No matter how strong Chu Yan is, he's only one person. His physical body isn't that much different from ours. If we coordinate perfectly, we can strike him! Everyone, attack at once from all directions!"

A figure flew back from the sky—Mirajane, who had just been sent flying, had returned.

Was my strength too low? Chu Yan wondered. He had no choice; they were guildmates, after all. He'd rather use too little power than cause a heavy injury.

Suddenly, "Ice-Make: Ice Prison!" A cage of ice erupted around Chu Yan, trapping him. It was Gray, who had managed to force out one last bit of magic while still on the ground.

"Quick! I can't hold him! Attack now!"

"Soul Extinction!" A concentrated blast of dark magical energy shot from Mirajane's hands toward Chu Yan.

"Thunderbolt's Fate!" Cana threw her cards into the sky. A small patch of dark clouds formed over Chu Yan, and bolts of lightning began to rain down.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!" Natsu exhaled a high-temperature torrent of flames once more.

"Requip: Lightning Empress Armor! Lightning Empress Spear!" A bolt of cyan lightning shot from the spear in Erza's hand.

Attacks converged on Chu Yan from every direction, covering every possible inch of his body.

Facing this onslaught, Chu Yan smiled and shook his head. He dropped into a slight crouch. Hum—! His fists glowed with transparent white halos.

"Haaaaah!!" Chu Yan let out a roar, throwing his arms wide and slamming his fists into the air at his sides.

"——!"

Crack! Crack! Fissures raced through the air.

The attacks about to hit him seemed to freeze in place. Then, faint spherical white halos expanded outward from his body in a continuous wave.

BOOM BOOM BOOM!

"Waaaaah!"

"Gwaaaaah!!"

Everything surrounding Chu Yan was blown away. Even the ground beneath his feet shattered inch by inch. The island shook violently as if struck by a magnitude ten earthquake. The sea surrounding the island surged outward, forming localized tsunamis. On the boat, the deck rocked wildly, and Levy and Lisanna screamed in terror.

When the dust settled, a massive crater sat in the center of the island. Chu Yan stood in the middle of it. Gray lay unconscious at his feet, while the others were scattered far across the debris.

Seeing this, Chu Yan scratched his head, feeling a headache coming on. "Ahhh... looks like I went a bit too far again!"
