Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 – The World and Its Forgotten War

"Everyone, sit down."

Acharya Harishankar stepped into the classroom, his long robes flowing behind him like drifting mist. The chatter slowly faded as students straightened in their seats.

Aaryan quietly remained in the last row, folding his worn cloak neatly over his chair.

The teacher raised his staff and tapped it gently against the stone floor.

"Today," he announced, "you will learn the truth about the world you live in… and the war that nearly erased it."

He unrolled an ancient golden scroll.

The moment the parchment touched the air, glowing runes ignited across its surface. Mana radiated from it like rippling water. The classroom lights dimmed automatically as illusionary projections formed above the students.

A vast map materialized mid-air.

Gasps spread across the room.

"Eight hundred years ago," the teacher began, "our world was divided into six great kingdoms… and one forbidden wilderness."

The map zoomed forward.

A radiant silver-green land appeared first.

The Aeloria Sylvan Realm – Kingdom of the Elves

Floating tree cities shimmered among massive ancient forests.

"Elves possess extraordinary mana reserves," the teacher explained. "Their affinity with natural mana allows them to cast spells faster and with greater precision than any other race."

The image shifted.

The Garudaara Federation – Land of the Demi-Humans

Towering beast-like warriors trained across vast savannahs and rugged mountains.

"Demi-humans possess unmatched physical instincts and dominant combat personalities. Their battle senses allow them to react faster than most mages."

The projection changed again.

The Kharad-Dron Forge Dominion – Dwarven Kingdom

Endless mountain tunnels stretched deep underground, filled with glowing forges and colossal mechanical constructs.

"Dwarves possess unparalleled sensory perception and creativity. Their weapons and magical artifacts have shaped every major war in history."

The map expanded further.

The Surya Rajya – Eastern Human Kingdom

5. The Chandra Rajya – Western Human Kingdom

6. The Vajra Samrajya – Central Human Empire

"These three kingdoms belong to humanity," Acharya Harishankar continued.

"Though humans possess lower natural mana compared to elves, they adapt faster, evolve techniques rapidly, and dominate through numbers and strategy."

Aaryan listened carefully, his eyes reflecting the floating world map.

The final section of the projection darkened.

A massive shadowed region appeared — covered in dense black forest.

The Forbidden Region – The Abyssal Wilds

"No kingdom claims this land," the teacher said solemnly.

"It is home to ancient beasts, lost ruins… and lingering traces of darkness."

Students swallowed nervously.

The projection suddenly trembled.

Dark cracks spread across the illusionary sky.

"Eight hundred years ago," the teacher's voice grew heavier,

"our world faced extinction."

Shadowy portals tore open across the kingdoms. From them emerged grotesque creatures — twisted beings born from hatred, destruction, and chaos.

"They were called… The Sin Legion."

Massive demonic creatures flooded the map, devouring entire cities.

"Led by a ruler known only as the Sin King, these beings nearly destroyed every race."

Fear filled the classroom as illusionary armies collapsed across the projection.

Then—

Six radiant figures appeared.

The Legendary Six

Acharya Harishankar's voice carried deep reverence.

"These six heroes united all kingdoms and races."

One by one, the illusions revealed them:

The Supreme Swordmaster — whose blade could split mountains

• The Divine Healer — who could restore entire armies from death's edge

• The Arcane Archmage — master of limitless elemental destruction

• The Grand Sealing Sage — the only mage capable of imprisoning divine entities

• The Celestial Archer — whose arrows never missed their target

• The Transcendent Martial Saint — whose body alone rivaled legendary weapons

"They fought the Sin King in a battle that lasted seven days and seven nights."

The projection transformed into a cosmic battlefield where skies shattered and oceans split apart.

"In the end… they sealed the Sin King somewhere within our world."

The teacher lowered his head slightly.

"They sacrificed their lives to complete the sealing ritual."

Silence filled the classroom.

"Rumors say both the Sin King and the Legendary Six were god-like beings — far beyond modern comprehension."

The projection dimmed.

"Since that war," the teacher continued,

"peak experts have slowly stopped emerging."

He raised his staff again. Glowing symbols formed in the air.

"There are currently three primary combat paths."

Mage Path

Warriors who use mana and elemental manipulation. Swordmaster Path

Warriors who fuse aura with weapon mastery. Body Cultivator Path

Warriors who strengthen their physical bodies beyond human limits.

Acharya Harishankar displayed ten glowing tiers:

Prarambh (Initiate)

Udaya (Awakening)

Veer (Warrior)

Rakshak (Guardian)

Senapati (Commander)

Maha Senapati (High Commander)

Raj Rakshak (Royal Guardian)

Maharathi (Supreme Warrior)

Dev Veer (Divine Warrior)

Adhipati (Absolute Ruler)

"Currently, Maharathi experts are extremely rare," he explained.

"Dev Veer and Adhipati experts exist only in legends."

Students whispered excitedly.

Vidhya Grand Magic Academy

The projection shifted into an enormous floating academy surrounded by mountains and mystical energy currents.

Aaryan's eyes widened instantly.

"This," the teacher said proudly, "is Vidhya Grand Magic Academy."

"It was founded by the Arcane Archmage from the Legendary Six."

Students leaned forward eagerly.

"The academy accepts students only through an entrance trial. To even attempt the trial, candidates must be at least twelve years old and must have reached the peak of Udaya… or at minimum, Veer beginner stage."

He paused deliberately.

"Every year, tens of thousands attempt the trial."

"Only a handful succeed."

"They say… only Vidhya Academy produces warriors capable of reaching the highest ranks."

Excited murmurs spread throughout the classroom.

Aaryan slowly clenched his fists.

"I will enter that academy one day," he said quietly, yet firmly.

For a moment…

The classroom fell silent.

Then laughter erupted.

"The Bottom Mage wants to enter Vidhya Academy?!"

"You won't even reach Prarambh peak!"

Aaryan lowered his head, enduring the humiliation.

But his eyes burned with silent determination.

A soft breeze drifted through the classroom windows.

Aaryan's torn cloak fluttered gently.

Unlike before… the wind felt warm.

Comforting.

Encouraging.

Almost proud.

Aaryan slowly lifted his gaze toward the window.

Far beyond the clouds…

Within a hidden dimension unknown to mortals…

Four shadowed figures silently observed the world.

Their forms remained unclear — neither human nor divine.

One spoke softly.

"So… the winds have begun moving again."

Another figure chuckled faintly.

"Let us watch… how this story unfolds."
