My eyes opened once again.
"Huh? I'm alive?"
Looking around, he realized something crucial.
"What the heck, was that a dream? I'm still in bed."
That's right I was in bed! Looking closer I realized something horrifying.
"Wait... Where is my Pokemon merch!!! All that money, did somebody steal it while i was asleep?!
All my stuff like my Pikachu plush was gone!
"Phew, my computer wasn't stolen, that's good. It's the most expensive thing I have, got to play on those Pokemon Rom hacks on something."
David sat down to try to calm down.
"Man, what a nightmare, dying and then meeting God where he basically said that all my passion in Pokemon is worthless, who would believe that?"
"Still I'll have to find who took my merch!"
But David was still shook by the dream, i mean dying? I have to calm my nerves.
"What Pokemon news is there online right now?"
David started to look around online for Pokemon news when he realized a terrifying truth.
"Why is there no mention of Pokemons anywhere?"
What happened to him was not a dream.
"All of that was real? I met God? And he said to me that Pokemon wasn't good?!"
"Damn you, God!!!"
David was now filled with determination to prove to God that Pokemon was the best game to ever exist and that sending him here was a mistake.
But he had a problem and that was:
"How can I even prove to a god that he's wrong? It's impossible!"
"Wait. He said he wanted people to have good karma to go to heaven, which apparently I'm not qualified for, like what?! So all i have to do is do something with Pokemon which will results in good karma which will prove that that destiny bullshit is wrong and that God is wrong for not reincarnating me in the Pokemon Universe!"
"Man, I'm such a genius."
"Wait."
"Pokemon doesn't exist here!"
It truly seems like God had achieved to prove his point to David, that Pokemon was not his destiny. What he didn't know was that he created a man who will affect the destinies of millions of people worldwide, and that all began with a single phrase:
"Screw it! I'll create Pokemon myself!"
