Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Mingzhu Academy, a Fight

10:00 AM

A golden supercar smoothly parked in the academy's lot, and Zhao Manyan twisted the key to turn off the engine.

"We're here, Wutou." Zhao Manyan pointed at the impressive array of buildings outside the car and smiled as he reminded him.

"It looks pretty good." Wutou squinted and replied excitedly.

"Of course! This is one of the top academies in the country. The image has to be high-end!"

The moment Wutou stepped out of the car, the first thing he saw was the four flamboyant characters—Mingzhu Academy.

The academy was enormous, with over a dozen buildings just on the outer side.

At the school gate, there was a banner reading "Welcome New Students" in large letters.

Wutou glanced at it and turned his attention back to Zhao Manyan as they walked in.

This was truly the academy of Magic City, shining and majestic as always.

Step, step, step...

As soon as they entered the campus, the heavy footsteps caught everyone's attention. The students, who had been chatting and laughing moments ago, turned to look at Wutou.

A group of students stared at the two of them in confusion, wondering why they had arrived so late.

"Why are these two new students so late?" a tiny voice murmured from the crowd.

"Are they trying to make a grand entrance?"

"That white-haired guy looks so arrogant, the way he's carrying himself!"

"Yeah, he's asking for a beating."

The students around them whispered amongst themselves.

"These two must have dyed their hair to stand out. Probably just some weak light mage."

"They can't compare to Brother Luo Sen. He's a plant mage, the genius of this year."

The two around them agreed, and their flattery made the green-haired Luo Sen smile with pride.

Luo Sen stared at Wutou and Zhao Manyan for a while, a playful look in his eyes. Then, he spoke to his lackeys: "Let's go give our new classmates a little greeting."

The group strode toward them, and students quickly stepped aside to avoid getting in their way, fearing they might get involved in trouble.

Luo Sen had been showing off his family background and strength since he arrived at the academy. Regular students were no match for him, and since the semester hadn't fully started, the school leaders hadn't intervened. So, he had taken the opportunity to act out among the new students.

But those with backgrounds or strength were too lazy to deal with him, and Luo Sen, knowing his limits, wouldn't provoke anyone he couldn't handle.

However, this time, he had met his match.

"Hey, two new students, do you need me to show you around?" Luo Sen walked over with a fake smile and said, his expression insincere. "Call me big brother, and if you need anything at Mingzhu Academy, you can find me. I'll cover for you."

Wutou heard the voice and turned to see a green-haired person standing before him, looking frail and weak.

With a single glance, Wutou knew the person was looking for trouble. Raising an eyebrow, he mischievously asked, "So, you two need us?"

"Kid, don't be ungrateful. It's an honor for you to be accepted by my big brother."

"I say, a new student who doesn't know his place needs a good lesson. Why all the chatter?"

Before Wutou could speak, Zhao Manyan was already displeased, his voice cold as he said, "Get lost now, or else I won't spare you!"

Luo Sen frowned, not expecting to run into trouble this time. But since he had already spoken, backing down would be too embarrassing.

Boom—

The atmosphere tensed as it seemed like a fight was about to break out. Some students had already secretly taken out their phones to notify the seniors and teachers responsible for the new students.

"Ah, I'm so tired. I knew I shouldn't have taken this thankless task," muttered a young man in a red vest somewhere in the academy plaza.

Suddenly, his phone in his pocket rang.

"Damn!" He looked at the message he had just received and gasped in shock. "Two new students, arriving at this time? Are they turtles?"

"And Luo Sen, that genius, always looking for trouble. This time, he won't get away with it."

As he ran, complaining, a wind trail formed beneath his feet, stirring up dust and leaving behind afterimages due to his speed.

...

"Everyone must take responsibility for their words." Luo Sen clapped his hands, and several of his lackeys surrounded Wutou and Zhao Manyan, each one summoning star tracks from different elements.

Just as Zhao Manyan was about to make a move, Wutou stopped him, his piercing blue eyes scanning the group.

In the next instant, a powerful spatial force slammed down on their bodies.

Crash!

The lackeys, who had been summoning their star tracks, suddenly collapsed, their foreheads crashing into the ground with no warning.

Luo Sen's eyes widened in shock. His heart skipped a beat as he took several steps back.

Spatial magic!?

How could this person have awakened spatial magic, which only high-level mages are capable of? This can't be real.

But the harsh reality was right in front of him. In the blink of an eye, Wutou had used magic to crush his lackeys.

Luo Sen knew he had hit a wall. His tone when speaking to them turned from defiance to hesitation.

"This is my fault. Can you give me some face, Luo Sen?"

Wutou looked at his sudden shift in attitude, snickering in disdain. "What face do you have with me? You think you're worthy? A coward who only picks on the weak."

Luo Sen's dignity was shattered with those words, but he still gritted his teeth and held back his anger, knowing the power gap between them.

"Tch, how boring. I want to see you act all arrogant again. Why don't you return to that attitude now?" Wutou said, looking down at Luo Sen as his glasses gleamed.

"Don't push it," Luo Sen grumbled, unable to contain his anger. He had already begun to hate this arrogant white-haired guy.

"You think you can stop me? What will you do about it?" Wutou responded with a smirk.

The moment his words dropped, Wutou released an overwhelming aura, his imposing presence causing the students around them to tremble and their legs to shake uncontrollably.

Zhao Manyan remained unaffected, his position perfectly controlled by Wutou.

Wutou stood with his arms crossed, his white hair billowing in the air, exuding an aura that could crush anyone around him.

At the prime of youth, what's the harm in being a bit cocky? This is how young people should be!

"Don't force me!" Luo Sen stammered, his hand summoning a deep green star track, with vines emerging from it.

"Too slow."

Before the vines could reach him, Wutou stepped on Luo Sen, and the magic was instantly nullified.

"How dare you act so recklessly at Mingzhu Academy!" A loud voice suddenly rang out.

Wutou turned his head to see a young man in a red vest, riding a wind track as he quickly approached them.
