Chapter 1 - Water and Ice

The arena roared. Cheers echoes through my ears, bouncing off the high walls like thunder. I could feel the vibration beneath my shoes, but somehow everything felt distant. The target stood meter away from me.

The X - ring. 10 points.

Ilifted my bow slowly, fingers steady against the string. My breathing becomes calm, controlled - just as my coach taught me.

Inhale.

Exhale.

The countdown began. "Five, the crowd faded. "

"Four"

" Three"

"Two" I closed my eyes for a split second, trusting my instincts.

"One". I released. The arrow sliced through the air.

Asharp sound - and then silence. For one terrifying second, the entire arena went quiet. And then -Boom !!! The crowd exploded.

"X - ring! 10 points !

My name echoed through the whole arena. My coach was shouting. My teammates were screaming. I stood there frozen, still holding my bow.

Did i ..... ?

The scoreboard flashed. 2026 Worldwide Championship Archery - Winner

Me, again.

Warmth rushed to my face and i could feel my cheeks turning pink. I bit my lip trying to stop myself from smiling too widely, but it was impossible.

Before I knew it, my teammated came running down, lifting me into th air.

" We did it!"

Laughter filled the arena. And in that moment, surrounded by cheers and flashing cameras, I felt invicible. Hitting a target was easy. It always had been.

On the other side of the world.....

The stage lights were blinding. Ryul stood perfectly, holding his breath. His expression was clam, cold , unreadable. But inside , his pulse was racing.

The MC's voice echoed across the massive hall.

" And the winner of the 2026 Group Award is..."

A pause. The crowd leaned forward.

" Congratulations to Beast!"

The arena erupted into deafening screams. Their group name flashed across the giant screen. Confetti rained from above.

They had won it again.

Ryul closed his eyes briefly in a relief before opening them, his face returning to its usual distant expression.

He walked forward, long strides steady, posture flawless.

The trophy was placed in his hands. The crowd waited.Phones raised. Cameras flashing. He leaned toward the microphone.

" Thank you, " he said simply. His voice was deep, clam.

"We will continue to win"

And that was it. He stepped away, waiting for his teammates to take over the speech.

The audience blinked in confusion.

Was that all ?

Whispers spread through the hall. But no one could deny it .....

Cold or not.....

He was breathtaking. And somehow, untouchable.
