the midnight!!!

For six months, the city trembled. Every victim was found at exactly 12:00 AM. No witnesses. No fingerprints. Just a single red rose left on the body.

Detective Arjun Sen was assigned to the case. Brilliant, calm, and emotionally distant — crime was the only thing he believed in.

Until he met Meera Roy.

Meera was a crime journalist working for The Telegraph. Fearless and sharp-minded, she often reached crime scenes before the police. Arjun found her annoying at first — always questioning, always observing too closely.

But something about her eyes felt familiar.

As the murders continued, Arjun noticed a pattern — all the victims were connected to a closed orphanage from 20 years ago.

The same orphanage where Arjun had grown up.

And where he once loved a quiet girl named Meera.

The Shocking Truth

Arjun dug deeper into old records. The orphanage had burned down mysteriously. The owner was never punished. Several children disappeared from official files.

Including Meera.

One night, Arjun followed Meera after she secretly left her apartment. She walked into an abandoned building — the same orphanage ruins.

Inside, Arjun saw a red rose placed on a table.

"You finally solved it," Meera's voice echoed in the darkness.

Arjun's heart pounded.

Meera stepped forward, tears in her eyes.

"They destroyed our childhood, Arjun. They sold children… they burned evidence. No one paid for it."

"You killed them…" Arjun whispered.

"They deserved justice."

Arjun felt torn between duty and love.

"Come with me," he pleaded. "We can fight this legally."

Meera smiled sadly. "Justice was never legal for us."

Police sirens wailed outside. Arjun had already called backup, hoping to stop her before she went too far.

Meera handed him one last red rose.

"I loved you then. I love you now."

Suddenly, a gunshot echoed.

But it wasn't from the police.

Meera had turned the gun on herself.

Killer case was officially closed.

But every year, at exactly midnight, Detective Arjun Sen places a single red rose at the ruins of the orphanage.

Not for a criminal.

But for the girl he loved.
