Chapter 41 - Chapter 41: The Auditor’s Tally and the Sleeping Giant Wakes

The chronometer on the Black Pearl's bridge flickered as it synced with the galactic standard, marking the transition from 129 BBY to 125 BBY. For four years, the freighter had been a ghost in the Outer Rim, its silhouette becoming a legend among the scavengers of the "Junkyard Almanac." Revan Shan sat in the pilot's seat, his hand idly playing with a particularly large, unrefined Kyber shard he'd pulled from a derelict reactor on Raxus Prime.

His appearance remained stubbornly frozen at twenty-three—a side effect of the Force Immortality synchronization that had smoothed out the rough edges of his biological clock—but his eyes carried the weight of the thousands of lives he'd audited during his "dumpster diving" tour.

"Right then, M1-NR," Revan said, popping a lemon candy and letting the sourness clear the cobwebs of a three-day hyperspace jump. "We've finished the Naboo and Kashyyyk drop-offs. The survivors are settling in, the Wookiees have more orphans to teach the finer points of tree-climbing, and I think I've fulfilled my 'kindness' quota for at least the next ten minutes. Let's see the damage. Give me the final audit of our four-year excursion."

M1-NR (Miner), his silver Beskar-Phrik chassis gleaming under the bridge lights, projected a massive, multi-layered holographic ledger.

"Master Shan, the 'Junkyard Tour' has been... statistically overwhelming," Miner intoned. "Our inventory of recovered assets includes:

* From Jakku: 12x High-fidelity Kyber-Quantum processing arrays and 4x Old Republic atmospheric scrubbers.

* From Raxus Prime: A complete set of mid-Rim medical droids (Series 4) and 400 kilograms of refined Cortosis scrap.

* From Bracca: The tactical core of a Centurion-class battleship and 14x intact life-support modules.

* From Lotho Minor: 52x Ancient Jedi lightsaber hilts (purified) and the Sith Archive Data-Key.

* From Tatooine: A forgotten Rakatan thermal-sensor array buried in a Krayt dragon graveyard.

* From Nar Shaddaa: 3x high-output industrial fabricators and a collection of 'Vintage' spice-latte machines."

Revan leaned back, a sassy grin spreading across his face. "Brilliant. My 10th Doctorate in Galactic History & Advanced Archaeology is weeping with joy. And the... localized diplomatic corrections?"

"Statement: Master, I have compiled the 'Liquidated Meatbag' statistics," HK-47 whirred, stepping onto the bridge. "Observation: In the last forty-eight standard months, we have effectively dismantled 14 slaver rings and 8 major spice-smuggling nodes. This resulted in the 'kind' neutralization of approximately 1,200 organic antagonists. It was a very educational audit."

"And the credits, Miner?" Revan asked.

"We requisitioned approximately 15 million Republic credits from the neutralized syndicates," Miner replied. "As per your directive, 10 million have been distributed anonymously to orphanages and refugee centers across the Outer Rim. The remaining 5 million have been converted into high-grade fuel, raw Beskar-alloy, and lemon candies. Our current liquidity is... healthy."

The Return to the Ghost Node

The Black Pearl exited hyperspace on the edge of the Unknown Regions. Ahead lay Lehon, the tropical paradise that Revan had claimed as his own. But to the rest of the galaxy, there was nothing but empty space.

"Cortana, signal the Automated Intelligence Satellites," Revan commanded.

The twelve satellites, hidden in the planet's magnetic shadows, recognized the Black Pearl's unique Kyber-Quantum signature. The localized Stealth Fields modulated, opening a window in the "Force-Ghost" frequency. As the freighter descended, the shimmering sapphire oceans and emerald islands of Lehon appeared through the clouds.

"Welcome home, Revan," Cortana said, her blue avatar appearing on the dashboard. "The Foundry has been busy. The 'Vacation Home' is 100% complete. Defenses are online. And your... big project... is ready for its first audit."

Revan didn't go to the beach house first. He brought the Pearl into the sub-aquatic hangar of the primary Rakatan Foundry. As the water was pumped out and the massive bronze doors groaned open, the sight that met him was enough to make even a man with eleven doctorates take a sharp breath.

The Awakening of the Prodigal Knight

Resting in the cradle was the 3000-meter 'Prodigal Knight'. The Harrower-class Dreadnought was no longer a skeletal hull; it was a sleek, predatory masterpiece of Beskar-Phrik-Cortosis alloy. Its surface was a matte charcoal black, absorbing the hangar lights, while the red highlights along its primary weapon batteries glowed with a low, menacing energy.

"Right," Revan whispered, walking down the ramp of the Pearl. "Let's see if the math holds up."

He walked to the center of the hangar and utilized Mechu-deru, his consciousness expanding to interface with the dreadnought's primary logic-core. He felt the hum of the 75-Kyber Crystal Loop—a rhythmic, singing vibration that echoed the "Heart of the Force" frequency he'd found on Ilum.

> The Capital-Scale Power Flux (\Phi_p):

> By utilizing the 200 Rakatan Power Cells as a thermal buffer for the Kyber loop, Revan had created an energy output that exceeded the requirements of a standard planetary-class shield.

>

"Initialize the Sovereignty Deflector Shields," Revan commanded.

A low-frequency thrum vibrated through the floor as three independent layers of capital-class shielding shimmered into existence around the dreadnought. The air in the hangar turned thick with ozone as the shields harmonized, creating a blue-white cage of absolute protection.

"Triple capital shields... triple deflectors..." Revan noted, checking his gauntlet. "We could sail this thing through the center of a star and not singe the carpet. Brilliant."

The Test Flight

"D6, Chopper, HK... to your stations. Miner, take the bridge," Revan ordered, his voice full of the 11th Doctor's infectious excitement. "We're going for a spin."

The Prodigal Knight lifted from the hangar on its modified sublight engines. It moved with a terrifying silence, the Beskar-Cortosis hull neutralizing any mechanical vibration. As it broke the surface of the ocean, the dreadnought didn't just fly; it glided through the atmosphere like a shadow.

"Engage the Invisible Cloak," Revan said, sitting in the command chair.

On the planet's surface, anyone looking up would have seen the massive ship simply vanish. The satellites in orbit modulated the light refraction around the hull, while the Stealth Generators spoofed the planet's own background radiation.

"We are officially a 3000-meter hole in reality," Cortana reported.

"Let's test the 'Kindness' tools," Revan grinned. "Target the asteroid field in the secondary moon's orbit. Give me a 10% burst from the 750 Turbolaser Batteries and a focused pulse from the 300 Ion Cannons."

The space around the dreadnought erupted in a synchronized symphony of fire. The turbolasers didn't just fire bolts; they fired "audits"—precision strikes that dismantled the asteroids into fine dust. The ion cannons followed, a rippling wave of blue energy that would have neutralized the electronics of an entire fleet in a single pass.

"Armament verified," Miner reported. "Proton torpedoes and concussion launchers on standby. Sublight engines at 110%—we are currently faster than a modified X-Wing, despite our mass."

The Sovereign's Peace

After the test flight, Revan brought the Prodigal Knight back to its sub-aquatic cradle. He stood on the observation deck of his new beach house, looking out at the sunset over Lehon's ocean.

The four-year junkyard tour was over. He had his flagship, his droids, his vacation world, and his immortality. He was the most powerful individual in the galaxy, yet he remained a ghost in the Republic's ledgers.

"The Sith think they're the only ones playing the long game," Revan said, popping a lemon candy. "Tenebrus is auditing the Senate. Plagueis is auditing the banks. And the Jedi... well, they're busy auditing their own meditation techniques."

"And you, Revan?" Cortana asked. "What is your audit for the year 124 BBY?"

Revan looked at the completed Revan Holocron sitting on the stone table. The ancestor's mask seemed to glow with a quiet, adventurous light.

"My audit? I think I'm going to have a very long nap, a very large bowl of noodles, and then I'm going to check on Naboo," Revan decided sassily. "I've heard the tensions there are rising, and I've always found that a 'Maverick' presence is exactly what a political crisis needs to make it interesting."

He looked at HK-47, who was currently attempting to teach Chopper the finer points of "Kind" assassination.

"Statement: Master, the orange trash-bin has successfully integrated a localized stun-field into his primary manipulator," HK whirred. "Observation: He is a natural-born liquidator. I am so proud."

"Adventure is the journey, HK," Revan laughed, the 11th Doctor's joy returning. "And our journey is about to get very, very colorful."

The Black Pearl sat silent in the hangar, and the Prodigal Knight slept beneath the waves. The Maverick was ready. The galaxy was waiting. And the audit was only just beginning.
