Chapter 63 - Chapter 83: The Resonance of Mercy and the Overclocked Core

The transition from the humid, bioluminescent chaos of Felucia to the sterile, durasteel heights of Coruscant was a localized atmospheric insult that Revan Shan barely tolerated. It was the tail end of 110 BBY, and the Black Pearl drifted into the Jedi Temple's high-security hangar like a phantom returning from a fever dream. The freighter was scarred with fungal soot and pirate blaster carbon, yet its Automatic Stealth Generator hummed with a smug, silent efficiency.

Revan sat in the Sovereign's Command Chair, which was currently angled at a forty-two-degree "Post-Combat Contemplation" posture. Calculus, the Loth-cat, was draped across his lap, his orange fur still smelling faintly of Felucian spores.

"Right then, Cortana," Revan murmured, his voice carrying the dry, weary rasp of the 12th Doctor as he sipped a latte that was 40% caffeine and 60% sheer spite. "According to my 3rd Doctorate in Sentient Sociology, the Council is currently experiencing a 'Cognitive Audit Failure.' They sent a Task Force to hunt a shadow, and a Maverick in a black ship had to bring the pieces home. It's statistically embarrassing for them."

"The medical teams are already on the hangar floor, Revan," Cortana reported, her avatar appearing on the dash, looking remarkably calm despite the recent skirmish. "Master Vernestra and the two Knights are being offloaded. But Knight Jecki... the sensors indicate her condition is 'Force-Stagnant.' The traditional bacta isn't taking."

Revan stood up, the spindly, manic energy of the 11th Doctor returning as he adjusted his black Phrik-weave robes. "Force-Stagnant. Of course. Qimir's blade doesn't just cut meat; it leaves a stain on the ledger. HK, keep the 25 Sith Training Droids on high-alert in the hold. I don't want any curious Padawans auditing our combat data just yet."

"Statement: Master, I shall ensure that any unauthorized meatbags attempting to board are 'kindly' introduced to the floor," HK-47 whirred.

The Infirmary Audit: Healing the Unhealable

In the Temple Infirmary, the air was thick with the scent of ozone and antiseptic. Knight Jecki Lon lay on a hovering gurney, her face pale. A jagged wound on her shoulder pulsed with a sickly, bruised violet light—a "corrupted" Force-wound that defied standard Jedi healing techniques.

Master Vernestra Rwoh stood over her, her brow furrowed in frustration. "It's like a vacuum," Vernestra whispered as Revan approached. "Every time I try to flow Light into the wound, it simply... vanishes."

"That's because you're trying to treat a structural failure with a cosmetic fix, Vernestra," Revan said, pulling his Silver-Phrik Sonic Screwdriver from his belt. "According to my 11th Doctorate in Xenobiology, that wound isn't an injury; it's a localized discordance. Qimir didn't just strike her; he left a rhythmic knot of dark intent in her cellular memory."

Revan flicked the switch. The Kyber-Cyan emitter flared a brilliant, steady blue, and the room filled with a high-pitched, melodic trill.

"What is that device?" a medical droid asked, its servos whirring in confusion.

"It's a screwdriver! It's for fixing things! And right now, Jecki is a very complicated piece of biology that's out of tune," Revan chirped. He closed his eyes, utilizing his Mechu-deru to "feel" the microscopic logic of the corruption, while synchronizing with the Heart of the Force within his own Kyber crystals.

> The Bio-Resonant Purge Equation (\Gamma_{bp}):

> Revan utilized the Sonic Screwdriver to vibrate the dark energy at its own frequency until it reached a point of 'destructive interference.' He wasn't pushing the darkness out; he was auditing its existence until it had no logical place to stay.

As the Sonic trilled, the violet light in the wound began to flicker. Revan placed his hand over Jecki's shoulder, a localized Force Light glowing through his fingers. With a soft pop heard only in the Force, the bruise vanished. Jecki took a sudden, sharp breath, the color returning to her cheeks.

"There," Revan panted, handing her a lemon candy as she blinked her eyes open. "Audit complete. Try to stay away from Sith-adjacent sharp objects, Jecki. Statistically, they are bad for your long-term health."

The Council's Shock

The High Council meeting that followed was a masterclass in stunned silence. Grandmaster Yoda, Master Sskeer, and the rest of the semi-circle watched Revan with a mixture of awe and suspicion. He had just saved their "Shadow Task Force," killed four Ren Acolytes, and held off the "Smiling Man" with a sassy grin.

"Knight Shan," Sskeer hissed, his tail twitching. "You intervened in a mission that was under Senate oversight. You utilized droids of... questionable origin. And you healed a wound that our most skilled healers could not touch."

"I performed a 'Kindness Intervention,' Sskeer," Revan replied, leaning casually against a pillar. "According to my 5th Doctorate in Galactic Lore & Ethics, saving lives is never a breach of protocol. And the droids? They're just my personal security detail. They're very efficient at auditing pirates. You should try it sometime; it's much more productive than debating trade taxes."

Yoda looked at Revan, his old eyes twinkling with a deep, unfathomable understanding. "A Sovereign of the Moment, you are. Trust your heart, we must... though untidy, your methods remain."

The Engineering Audit: Overclocking the Pearl

By the beginning of 109 BBY, Revan had retreated back to the Black Pearl. The Coruscant routine of story-time and napping was good, but his inner Auditor was itching for a technical upgrade.

"Cortana, let's talk about power," Revan said, standing in the ship's reactor core. "The original 3 Kyber/Rakatan cell setup was lovely for a Sunday stroll, but after Felucia, I realized we're drawing too much on the hyperdrive under combat load. It's an engineering insult."

For three months, Revan worked in a state of "Hyper-Focus." He utilized the 12x Fist-sized Kyber Crystals and the 800KG of Beskar/Phrik/Cortosis alloy bars he'd recovered from the Rimscron cache on Mygeeto.

* The Power Matrix: He replaced the original core with a Matrix of 10 Kyber Crystals and 5 Rakatan Power Cells.

* The Output: The engines and hyperdrive now had a dedicated, self-stabilizing energy loop.

* The Shields: He utilized the 48 Kyber Resonance Stones to calibrate the deflector array.

> The Shield-Strength Variable (\Sigma_{shield}):

> By his internal audit, Revan doubled the shield's kinetic and thermal absorption capacity. The Black Pearl could now sit in the middle of a supernova and still have enough power to froth a latte.

The Starfighter Inquiry

While welding a new Phrik-filament into the engine housing, Revan paused, looking at a series of holographic blueprints.

"I'm considering a sub-process escort, Cortana," Revan mused. "A starfighter attached to the Black Pearl via mag-clamps. Something fast. Something that can peel off and conduct a localized audit of enemy interceptors while the freighter carries the loot container."

"I could certainly manage a sub-process for piloting, Revan," Cortana replied. "Though R2-D6 or Chopper would likely argue for the seat. Their ego-cores are quite large for such small droids."

"We'll see," Revan grinned. "According to my 4th Doctorate in Advanced Engineering, a starfighter would improve our tactical flexibility by 35%. But for now... I think I've done enough 'doing' for one decade."

The Sovereign's Nap: 109 BBY

The year 109 BBY settled in. Revan returned to his routine at the Temple.

* Morning: Napping in the hammock (now reinforced with the new Phrik-filament).

* Noon: Story-time with the younglings. Today's tale: The Sith Lord Who Was Allergic to Loth-Cats.

* Afternoon: Training the thirty-five younglings in Shadow Tag and Form VI.

* Night: Archival napping in the Sovereign's Command Chair.

Calculus sat on the armrest of the chair, his tail flicking in time with the quiet hum of the archives. Revan looked at the stars through the high transparisteel windows. He knew the galaxy was moving toward a darker ledger. Qimir was still out there. The Trade Federation was growing. But for a Maverick with 3.41 billion credits and a cat, the journey was looking remarkably peaceful.

"Adventure is the journey, D6," Revan whispered as the chair reclined to the Calculated Nap Angle of 134.5 degrees. "And right now, the journey involves dreaming about a very quiet cup of tea."

He closed his eyes. The Auditor was at rest. 109 BBY was just beginning, and time... time was the only thing Revan had in abundance.
