Chapter 69 - Chapter 89: The Terraforming Secret and the Wookiee’s Seat

The year 104 BBY opened with the kind of crisp, golden morning that made Coruscant's artificial atmosphere almost feel like the real thing. Revan Shan, however, was done with artificiality for a while. He sat in a small, tucked-away cafe in the lower tiers of the Theed Spaceport on Naboo, sipping a perfectly frothed latte. Around him, the planet breathed—a symphony of rushing waterfalls and wind whistling through baroque archways.

Calculus was sprawled across a second chair, looking remarkably smug, while Theorem, the silver-and-black kitten, was currently stalking a holographic sugar-cube on the table.

"You see, Theorem," Revan murmured, clicking a silver stylus against his datapad. "Adventure isn't just about the 'where.' It's about the 'when.' And right now, the 'when' is perfect for a multi-decade audit of the galaxy's most interesting corners. According to my 3rd Doctorate in Sentient Sociology, I've spent too much time sassing the Council. I need to sass the stars."

He held up the datapad, where a list of twenty planets shimmered in blue text.

"Twenty years, Cortana," Revan said to his gauntlet. "One planet a year. Give or take a month for napping. It's statistically the most relaxed expedition in history."

"The Black Pearl is prepped, Revan," Cortana replied. "The new 10 Kyber/5 Rakatan matrix is humming at 99.9% efficiency. We could jump to the Mid-Rim before your latte gets cold."

The Gungan Deep-Dive: The Rakatan Legacy

Naboo was a planet of secrets, and Revan wasn't interested in the politics of the plasma trade. He was interested in why Naboo had a porous, water-filled core that defied standard geological evolution. According to his 1st Doctorate in Theoretical Physics, the planet's structure was... artificial.

He took the Black Pearl deep into the Lianorm Swamp, landing in a clearing of giant ferns where the air was thick with the scent of wet earth and mystery.

"R2, Eleven, stay with the ship," Revan commanded, stepping off the ramp in his black Phrik-weave robes. "This requires a bit of 'Forensic Psychometry'."

He trekked into a vine-choked valley where the ruins of an "Ancient Gungan Shrine" sat half-submerged in the muck. The Gungans called it a place of 'Great Power,' but they avoided it. Revan knelt by the central stone—a pillar of obsidian that vibrated with a faint, rhythmic hum.

Whirrr-vwoop-trill.

He pulled out the Sonic Screwdriver, the cyan tip pulsing in sync with the stone.

"Right then," Revan muttered, his 11th Doctor energy surfacing. "Let's see who really built the basement."

> The Rakatan Resonance Signature (\Omega_{rak}):

> The Sonic Screwdriver bypassed the primitive Gungan carvings to reveal a hidden sub-layer of Rakatan bio-circuitry. Revan utilized Mechu-deru to whisper to the machine. The pillar wasn't a shrine; it was a Rakatan Deep-Core Terraforming Stabilizer.

As the mechanism engaged, the ground groaned. A hidden hatch slid open, revealing a stairwell leading into the planet's crust.

Inside, the vault was a museum of the Infinite Empire. It was this device that had carved the internal water-ways of Naboo tens of thousands of years ago. Revan spent weeks scavenging the site, finding:

* 3x Intact Rakatan Memory Crystals (containing fragmented star-charts of the Unknown Regions).

* 10x Prototype Rakatan Power Cores (High-output, Force-resonant energy cells).

* A cache of 'Purified Kyber-focal crystals' (used for planetary-scale terraforming).

"This is a localized masterpiece of engineering," Revan whispered, the 12th Doctor's weariness touching his voice. "The Infinite Empire didn't just conquer planets; they rebuilt them. And the Jedi Council thinks Naboo is just a place for pretty lakes."

He archived the data, packed the loot, and sealed the vault. He didn't change anything—he just documented it. The galaxy wasn't ready to know its foundations were built by ancient tyrants.

The Wookiee's Promise: The Co-Captain's Chair

With the Naboo audit complete, Revan set a course for the Kashyyyk system. He had a promise to keep.

A decade prior, he had met a young, boisterous Wookiee named Chewbacca during the rescue on Telos IV. He had promised the furry giant a seat on the most advanced ship in the galaxy.

The Black Pearl landed in the upper boughs of Kachirho. As the ramp lowered, a massive, shaggy figure let out a triumphant roar that shook the hangar bay. Chewie bounded up the ramp, nearly knocking Revan (who still looked like a 23-year-old) off his feet with a Wookiee hug.

"Careful, Chewie! According to my 11th Doctorate in Xenobiology, my ribs are significantly less durable than yours!" Revan laughed, patting the Wookiee's arm.

Revan led Chewie into the bridge. In the co-pilot's station, a new piece of equipment sat gleaming.

"According to my 4th Doctorate in Advanced Engineering," Revan said, gesturing to the seat, "the standard co-pilot's chair is a structural insult to Wookiee physiology. So, I built you this."

It was the Sovereign's Command Chair - Co-Captain Edition.

* Frame: Reinforced Phrik/Beskar alloy to handle Wookiee strength.

* Upholstery: Luxury Kashyyyk star-silk with specialized heat-distribution for fur.

* Tech: Integrated Kyber-Quantum communications and a Force-probability nap-angle stabilizer.

* Feature: A hidden, climate-controlled compartment for snacks and a personalized 'Vintage' spice-latte dispenser.

Chewie let out a soft, melodic trill of appreciation, sitting in the chair. It adjusted instantly to his massive frame, the lumbar support clicking into place with a satisfied hiss.

"Welcome aboard, Co-Captain," Revan grinned, popping a lemon candy. "We've got nineteen planets left on the list, a cargo hold full of Rakatan tech, and absolutely no reason to hurry. How do you feel about a journey that takes twenty years?"

Chewie roared his approval, his hand resting on the Black Pearl's controls.

The Sovereign's Nap: 104 BBY

As the Black Pearl lifted off from Kashyyyk, snapping into hyperspace with a graceful, silent shimmer, Revan slumped into his own chair. Calculus reclaimed his lap, while Theorem curled up on Chewie's head—the Wookiee's thick fur making for a perfect kitten nest.

"Status, Cortana," Revan whispered.

"The Star-Sass is docked. The Co-Captain is seated. The 90-million credit liquidity is stable, and the 3.41 billion in IGBC rods is being laundered through Naboo restoration grants," Cortana reported. "We are officially in 'Adventure Mode'."

"Brilliant," Revan yawned, the chair reclining to the Calculated Nap Angle of 134.5 degrees. "Adventure is the journey, D6. And the journey just got a lot more shaggy."

The Maverick was back on the trail. He wasn't a hero, he wasn't a guardian, and he certainly wasn't balancing the Force. He was just a man with a list, a Wookiee, two cats, and a galaxy full of secrets waiting to be audited.

"Try to be nice, 103 BBY," Revan murmured as he drifted off. "I'll see you at Ord Mantell."
