Chapter 48 - Chapter 48 The Guild's Strongest Candidate

That giant eye in the sky was none other than Acnologia. He had just withdrawn his magic when he remembered this plot point, and he felt somewhat embarrassed.

Originally, Natsu was supposed to cause a ruckus, but now it's his turn.

hateful!

Nobody explained it to him clearly. If they had, this wouldn't have happened.

The Magic Council is also problematic; sending an envoy with such an arrogant tone is bound to anger anyone.

Soon, Makarov and Erza returned, and everyone began to cheer and celebrate.

Lucy slumped listlessly on the table: "It was just a formality after all. I worried for nothing..."

Gray suddenly realized: "No wonder they sent the frog!"

Acnologia asked in disbelief, "A frog? That thing has such a long head, I thought it was a turtle."

Lucy suddenly said, "But what is that giant eye? It can even instantly kill the thought form of the Ten Wizard Saints!"

She had heard that the Ten Wizard Saints were already the strongest in the world, but she never imagined that there were even more terrifying monsters.

"Speaking of giant eyes..."

Gray frowned slightly, looked at Acnologia, and asked in confusion, "When Ulva froze Deliora, I saw a giant eye once. I wonder if it's similar."

Acnologia saved Ullu, and the enormous eye he saw looked remarkably similar to Acnologia's eyes...

Irene, who was standing nearby, knew that Acnologia was behind it and explained, "Actually, there are many kinds of eye magic. Some of them are detection magic, which can also create similar scenes."

Gray nodded. "That's true."

Natsu, standing to the side of Ling, laughed loudly, breathing fire from his mouth: "Erza, our battle is not over yet!"

"I'm already exhausted, please have mercy on me."

Erza refused, and seeing Natsu rushing over, she punched him in the stomach, knocking him unconscious.

"As expected, Erza is stronger. Natsu is such a weakling!"

"It was over in one move, just as expected!"

Everyone burst into laughter.

"What happened?"

"So sleepy!"

Suddenly, a strong drowsiness came over them, and the guild members all drifted off to sleep.

Eileen frowned slightly: "Sleep magic? Enemy attack?"

Although she was very sleepy, it didn't bother her.

"alright..."

Acnologia whispered in her ear, "Pretend to sleep for a bit. There's someone here who doesn't like to be seen."

After saying that, he picked up Erza, who had fallen to the ground, and then pretended to faint on the table.

"Boring!" Eileen pouted, squinted her eyes, and fell asleep in Acnologia's arms.

Soon, a man completely covered in black robes slowly walked into the guild, took a quest, and then turned and left.

A minute later, everyone gradually woke up.

"This feeling, is it from Mystergan?" Gray frowned slightly.

"Every time we come back, they let us sleep for a while. I really wish I could have that magic to help me fall asleep at night," Marcus said.

Dorell teased, "You probably have designs on Mystergan."

Lucy shook her head: "Why would he do that?"

Gray said, "He doesn't want anyone to see his face. No one has seen him except the president."

Suddenly a voice came from the second floor: "You haven't seen it? That just means you're too weak. You can't even resist a mere sleep spell."

A short, dark-haired man stood in front of the second-floor railing, a smug smile on his face.

Gray frowned slightly: "Laxus!"

"Laxus, how dare you call me weak?"

Natsu was furious and tried to rush forward, but was slammed to the ground by Makarov's giant fist.

Laxus glanced at him dismissively: "Someone like you who can't even beat Erza dares to challenge me to a duel? Don't be ridiculous."

Erza's gaze turned cold, and her terrifying aura sent shivers down everyone's spines: "What do you mean by this? Do you want to fight me?"

"It's not the right time yet!"

Laxus suddenly burst into arrogant laughter: "When the Thunder Gods return, I will defeat you all together. Just you wait!"

After saying that, he turned and left.

Everyone was shocked, but speechless.

Although this guy is arrogant, he also has the ability to be arrogant.

...

At night, Lucy walked home alone. As soon as she opened the door, she found five people, a cat, and a doll eating and drinking in her house, making a mess of the place.

"Hey, Lucy!" X7

Lucy's eyes nearly popped out of their sockets in shock as she yelled, "What are you bastards doing?!"

While lifting dumbbells, Natsu laughed and said, "Happy just stole an S-rank mission, let's go do a mission together!"

"Even if we're doing a mission, why are so many people in my house?"

Acnologia explained, "It was originally supposed to be our Fire Dragon team together, but since this mission involves Deliora, we called Gray and Ullu together."

Although the mission wasn't written down, he already knew the details, so he treated this trip as a vacation.

He remembered that another of Ulu's disciples, Leon, was there, and it seemed that her daughter, Urutia, was also there.

Lucy gritted her teeth in anger: "You bastards, get off my bed right now!"

Seeing that Lucy was about to explode, everyone finally sat down obediently in a row.

Acnologia pulled out a quest sheet: "The quest reward is 7 million gold, plus a Protoss key. How about it? Interested?"

Lucy snatched the mission from Lucy, her eyes sparkling as she looked at it: "When do we leave!"

...

The next day, the group boarded a small boat bound for Galna Island.

"Eileen, help me... I'm dying..."

Natsu lay slumped on the bow of the ship, looking utterly dejected.

Eileen covered her mouth and laughed, "That won't do. This will give you a break."

Natsu rolled his eyes in disbelief: "Damn it!"

The crowd laughed gleefully, and Natsu's expression could only be seen when traveling by public transport.

However, Irene eventually cast a spell on him, and Natsu returned to his lively self.

"That's so cool!"

Natsu shouted excitedly, his whole body bursting into flames.

Gray punched him in the head and yelled, "You bastard, do you want to burn the ship?"

"What are you doing, Gray!"

Soon, the two were fighting fiercely on the boat. If Eileen hadn't kicked them overboard, the small boat would have capsized.

Ulu looked at Lucy and smiled, "They have a very good relationship."

During her absence, Grey truly had a kind family.

Lucy laughed and said, "Yes, they are the closest friends in the guild."

...

Galna Island

"The mission was issued by a village chief on the island. Let's go check it out."

The group walked and stopped frequently, and finally arrived at a village. However, a fence was erected at the entrance of the village, with a sign saying "No Entry".

Lucy looked up and shouted, "Is anyone there?"

Natsu, being the rude person he is, suggested, "Let me kick it open!"

Several dark figures emerged from the fence and shouted down, "Who are you?"

"We are the Fairy Tail guild..."

After some tug-of-war, the fence was finally opened, and a few people were let in.

Lucy looked at the villagers, all wrapped up except for their eyes, and felt a strange sense of unease.

"you?"

An old man with a cane stepped forward: "I am the village chief Mocha, and also the one who gave you the mission. Let me explain the situation to you."
