Chapter 4 - Reviving the Uchiha

Even if the two of them—both Uchiha jōnin—joined forces, they likely wouldn't last ten moves against Yusuke.

If Inabi were asked to choose a king among elite jōnin, he would choose Yusuke without the slightest hesitation.

But Clan Head Uchiha Fugaku—that was a genuine Kage-level powerhouse!

During the Third Shinobi World War, the name "Wicked-Eyed" Uchiha Fugaku was second only to the "Yellow Flash," Minato Namikaze. And Minato Namikaze had already become the Fourth Hokage several years ago.

Although Uchiha Yusuke's title, the "Flame Demon of Konoha," carried considerable weight, compared to "Wicked-Eyed Fugaku" and the "Yellow Flash," it still fell a step short.

"Challenging Clan Head Fugaku—this isn't a joke!"

"Even for you, Yusuke… winning won't be easy, right?"

Uchiha Inabi looked deeply worried, clearly unconvinced that Yusuke could defeat Fugaku.

The authority of the clan head was not something that could be casually challenged.

Anyone who failed a challenge against the clan head would face extremely severe punishment.

In response to their doubts, Uchiha Yusuke neither confirmed nor denied them. He simply looked at the two in silence.

Uchiha Tekka frowned in thought. Suddenly, a sharp light flashed in his eyes.

"Yusuke… do you have some kind of trump card that lets you defeat the clan head?"

"If that's really the case, then I'm willing to support you as the new clan head!"

Hearing Tekka say this, realization dawned on Inabi's face as well.

Yusuke had always been calm and steady, someone who never acted without a plan. He gave off an air of quiet wisdom.

Back on the battlefield, whenever danger arose, Uchiha Yusuke was always able to remain composed, leading them to turn defeat into victory.

Thinking of this, a trace of excitement crept onto Inabi's face.

He had long been dissatisfied with the current clan head, Uchiha Fugaku. If Yusuke could replace him, Inabi would naturally support it with both hands raised.

Unable to contain himself, Inabi asked eagerly,

"Yusuke… do you really have confidence in challenging the clan head?"

Uchiha Yusuke smiled easily.

"Of course. I never do anything without certainty."

Seeing Yusuke so confident, Inabi and Tekka steeled their resolve at once.

"So what if it's challenging the clan head's authority for a brother?"

"We're in. Count us in!"

Yusuke smiled faintly. These two hadn't disappointed him after all.

The current Uchiha clan was no longer what it once was. Those with the backbone to stand up and challenge the clan head's authority had grown few and far between.

If an ordinary clansman heard such rebellious words, they'd probably run straight to inform the clan head at the first opportunity.

"Mangekyō Sharingan."

Uchiha Yusuke closed his eyes, then opened them again.

His pupils shifted rapidly.

The three tomoe rotated and linked together, forming a spinning windmill pattern within his eyes.

Now that the two had made their decision, there was no need for him to hide his strength any longer.

"Th-this…"

"Yusuke… Yusuke, you… you…"

Seeing the change in Yusuke's pupils, Inabi and Tekka were struck dumb.

They had never seen a Sharingan with such a pattern—but the truth was not hard to guess.

After all, the legends of Uchiha Madara were only a few decades old.

"The Mangekyō Sharingan?"

"Yusuke… you've actually mastered this kind of power?!"

The fervor in Inabi and Tekka's hearts was impossible to conceal. Their muscles trembled as excitement coursed through them.

The Mangekyō Sharingan.

These were the same eyes as the Asura of the Shinobi World—Uchiha Madara!

The Mangekyō Sharingan represented the ultimate ocular power of the Uchiha clan. With these eyes, Yusuke becoming clan head was practically a foregone conclusion.

"Hahaha—!"

Uchiha Tekka suddenly burst into hearty laughter.

"Yusuke… you've shown me hope for the Uchiha's rise once more!"

Without realizing it, two streams of tears ran down Tekka's face.

The Uchiha clan had it hard.

Over the years, Konoha's higher-ups had never stopped suppressing and marginalizing the Uchiha.

After the Nine-Tails Incident, the Uchiha were practically exiled as an entire clan.

Such an unreasonable arrangement was hard enough for ordinary shinobi to accept—let alone the Uchiha, a clan born with pride in their blood.

And now, Yusuke had awakened the Uchiha's ultimate power—the Mangekyō Sharingan.

As long as he became the new clan head, how could the Uchiha fear never having the chance to wash away their humiliation?

The two firmly believed that one day, Yusuke would lead them to revive the Uchiha.

Hatake Kakashi, son of the White Fang of Konoha, becoming a jōnin at twelve—impressive?

Uchiha Shisui, descendant of Uchiha Kagami, possessing peerless talent?

In Inabi and Tekka's eyes, Uchiha Yusuke's talent surpassed them all.

One day, the "Flame Demon of Konoha," Uchiha Yusuke, would surely surpass the former "Yellow Flash," the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze.
