Chapter 81 - The Last Prophet Of Earth

Part Three

The formation dimmed gradually.

The pressure withdrew.

Not defeated.

Recalculating.

"Demonstration concluded," the central elder announced.

His voice was steady.

But the obsidian cracks remained.

Physical evidence of internal philosophy.

"Outer Disciple Zheng Wen Te," he continued, "your integration method deviates from sect orthodoxy."

"Yes."

"You believe deviation is improvement."

"I believe suppression delays collapse."

Silence settled across the hall like dust after impact.

Lian's heart pounded.

She understood what had just occurred.

He had not overpowered the formation.

He had adapted to it.

Adaptation without submission.

That was new.

And new things frightened institutions.

"You are dismissed," the elder said at last.

No reprimand.

No praise.

But as Zheng Wen Te turned to leave—

The obsidian floor beneath him fractured further.

Not violently.

Inevitably.

A thin line extending outward toward the elder's dais.

Unintended.

Uncontrolled.

Irreversible.

The elders did not move.

But each of them saw it.

Philosophy had manifested physically.

And physical manifestation could not be debated away.
