"You can go over there, you know, since it's your home turf," Renji pointed toward the distant lake with a faint arrogant smile and said.
"Three minutes of free attacks plus your most comfortable battlefield. That way, after you give everything and still lose, you won't have any complaints."
"A bizarre Bloodline Limit and an enormous amount of Chakra. I admit, Renji the Disaster, you are indeed very strong. You are the strongest ninja among all the targets I've hunted in the past."
Zabuza Momochi stared coldly at Renji.
Even though Renji's abilities were outrageous and beyond understanding, he did not feel even the slightest fear.
Because he was a tool called a ninja.
"A ninja is a tool without emotions. Emotions are a ninja's weakness. As a ninja, I am more excellent than you!"
Zabuza jumped backward and landed on the surface of the lake while rapidly forming hand signs.
He had abandoned emotions long ago.
Even death did not matter.
As long as he could achieve his ambition, everything else was meaningless.
He had no emotions.
But Renji did.
That was Renji's weakness.
"Water Release: Water Dragon Bullet Technique!"
The lake surface shook violently as five enormous water dragons rose and rushed toward Renji.
When Water Release was used in a water-rich environment, its power increased dramatically.
"A ninja without emotions is truly pathetic."
Renji calmly watched the five water dragons charging toward him.
Showing off and chasing girls were both parts of being human.
If those emotions disappeared, what meaning would power still have?
Renji gently exhaled.
A violent gust of wind surged forward like invisible blades and instantly scattered the five water dragons.
"So amazing!" Team 7 stared in shock.
Renji had blown away five water dragons with a single breath.
Ridiculous.
"Only those who survive to achieve their ambitions are excellent ninja, and I abandoned emotions long ago!"
Zabuza suddenly appeared in front of Renji using Hidden Mist Technique and slashed fiercely toward Renji's neck with a kunai.
"A clone again."
Renji slowly raised a finger as azure lightning gathered at the tip and spread across the ground like sharp blades.
"A boring trick."
"Discharge."
Lightning instantly covered Zabuza's entire body.
Zabuza's form collapsed into a puddle of water.
"Using a clone to distract me while your real body tried to capture the Stinky Brat as a hostage."
Renji glanced toward Team 7 with an indifferent smile filled with mock praise.
"It's a boring trick, but it suits the mindset of a weakling."
At that moment, pale Chakra mist once again filled the entire battlefield.
"You still have five seconds left."
Renji calmly walked toward Team 7 through the thick mist where visibility was nearly zero.
However, Renji's Tenseigan possessed the Byakugan's penetrating vision.
The mist meant nothing to him.
"Five."
"Four."
"Three."
"Two."
"One."
Renji disappeared instantly.
"You trash Genin, become my tools!"
Zabuza suddenly appeared behind Team 7 from within the Hidden Mist.
"Oh no!"
Team 7 reacted in shock.
They had not sensed him at all.
Just as Zabuza prepared to strike, his body suddenly froze completely.
He could not move even a finger.
"Alright, time's up."
Renji appeared behind Zabuza and placed a single finger against the back of his head.
"Wh-what's happening!"
Zabuza's expression changed drastically.
His entire body felt like it was being crushed by invisible pressure.
Was this gengutsu?
"Do you know why I gave you three minutes to attack?" Renji's finger trembled slightly as he calmly declared victory.
"If I had attacked first, you wouldn't even have had a chance to perform. I'll make an exception and let you witness a power beyond the limits of ninja."
"Hadō #90: Black Coffin."
A violent shockwave blasted outward.
Team 7 and the others were forced backward by the overwhelming pressure.
Heavy black matter rose from the ground and wrapped around Zabuza's body before forming a massive upright coffin.
"Ah!"
Zabuza screamed hysterically from inside the Black Coffin as if he had witnessed something terrifying.
One second later, the coffin vanished.
Zabuza's body fell to the ground covered in blood.
"You said you abandoned emotions, but you still feel fear, don't you?"
Renji stood atop a raised earth pillar and looked down coldly at the dying Zabuza.
Black Coffin was weaker than expected.
Still, it was useful.
Especially since it could be activated instantly without Chakra consumption.
It could serve as a basic attack.
"We won?" Sakura Haruno crawled out from the rubble and stared blankly at Zabuza's fallen body.
"Teacher Renji defeated him in one move."
"So amazing!" Naruto Uzumaki's eyes sparkled as he stared at Renji with excitement.
"Teacher Renji, teach me that move! I want to use cool techniques too!"
Naruto was completely captivated by Black Coffin.
"Hehehe, if I could learn that move..." Naruto covered his mouth and secretly glanced at Sakura beside him before glaring at Sasuke.
"If I learn that technique, then when Team 7 faces danger later and Smug Sasuke gets beaten to his knees while Sakura-chan is in trouble, I'll appear at the perfect moment and defeat the enemy instantly."
"Sakura-chan will definitely be impressed!" Naruto scratched his head shyly.
"Hehe, Sakura-chan, I'm not that amazing."
Sasuke frowned slightly and muttered coldly, "What an idiot."
How could he, a genius of the Uchiha Clan, be beaten to his knees by an enemy?
And how could Naruto possibly learn Renji's strange technique?
"Idiot Naruto, how could Sasuke be beaten to his knees by an enemy?" Sakura rolled up her sleeves and punched Naruto.
Naruto crashed to the ground with a bump forming on his head.
"If you bother Sasuke again, I'll hit you!"
Naruto stood up while rubbing his head and said aggrievedly, "Sakura-chan, you already hit me."
Tazuna watched the defeated enemy and sighed with relief while taking a sip of sake.
"Youth is truly full of energy."
He knew Renji was strong.
But he never expected Renji to be this powerful.
He had defeated the Demon of Kirigakure so easily.
That was one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
A dangerous A-rank rogue ninja.
"Troublesome Stinky Brat."
Renji glanced at Team 7 playing around nearby.
Still thinking about learning Black Coffin?
That technique was a reward he earned after the trouble of training Team 7.
The Nine-Tails brat wanted to fire a cannon before learning how to load one.
"Anyway, I should finish him first."
Renji picked up the Executioner's Blade and prepared to strike Zabuza again using Lightning Release Shunpo.
Suddenly, the entire lake froze instantly.
A chilling aura spread through the air.
Several sharp ice pillars shot upward from the ground and pierced toward Renji at incredible speed.
"Ice Release, huh?"
Renji's body was pierced by multiple ice pillars as azure lightning flickered across him.
He remained completely calm.
"Ice Release: Ice Rock Dome of Solitude."
A slender masked figure appeared behind Renji and rapidly formed hand signs with astonishing speed.
