Chapter 322 - Chapter 320: Still Alive, but Almost Died of Pain

"I remember this is the first floor. There's a window ahead. Let's jump out onto the street!" Stelle shouted as she ran. "It's open space outside. We can fight it out, and even if we can't win, there's enough terrain for us to escape!"

Mo Xin didn't refute this idea after hearing it.

Feeling the increasingly heavy sounds behind her, Mo Xin unconsciously quickened her pace, sweat rolling down her cheeks.

In just a short moment, the outline of the window came clearly into view for both of them.

Yet at this critical moment, Mo Xin couldn't help but ask.

"Are you sure this is the first floor? You didn't forget..."

"Trust me, you won't go wrong!" Stelle interrupted her without looking back, grabbing her wrist. "Hurry! The monster has caught up!"

Mo Xin was speechless and swallowed the rest of her words.

Stelle, looking at the "door" within reach, didn't care about anything else.

"The arrow is already on the string, so it must be fired. Things have reached this point, so how can we easily stop?"

"Let's jump..."

Perhaps infected by Stelle's confidence, seeing her back as she jumped recklessly, Mo Xin's blood surged, and she subconsciously leaped after her.

Bang!!!

The window shattered in response, glass shards flying everywhere and making a crisp sound.

The two leaped out of the window one after another, their bodies tracing an arc through the air.

Then...

Mo Xin's body was still suspended in the air. She subconsciously looked down at the ground. The ground beneath her was a full hundred meters away, waiting for their fall.

She froze instantly, her eyes losing their luster, her brain completely paralyzed, even forgetting to breathe.

Whoosh...

Immediately after, the two lost all support and began a chaotic free-fall.

"Ahhh?!!!"

Waves of shrill screams pierced the night sky, filled with despair and shock.

Their bodies fell rapidly, the feeling of weightlessness instantly sweeping over them and making them dizzy.

The cold wind scraped against her face like a knife. Mo Xin flailed her limbs powerlessly in the air, her voice scattered by the wind as she cursed incoherently.

"Stelle, you idiot! Is this your so-called first floor?! It looks more like the eighteenth floor to me!"

"Ahem, a small mistake, no harm done."

"You ****!"

"Don't panic, stay calm!"

"Then think of something! I'm still young, I don't want to die!"

Mo Xin stared at the rapidly approaching ground, her face already pale and bloodless. Tears and rain mixed together, streaming wildly down her cheeks.

If they just kissed the ground like this, the result wouldn't be as simple as a few bruises!

She could even imagine the scene of herself hitting the ground: Oof... ah, splat.

Stelle, also noticing this, realized that if she didn't show something, they might really die here today.

Immediately, Stelle adjusted her posture in mid-air, facing downward, and summoned a Flame Lance burning with raging fire into her hand with a wave of her hand.

"Follow me closely!"

Stelle gripped the Flame Lance, the tip pointing downward, and thrust it fiercely toward the ground. The scorching aura instantly pushed back the wind and rain around them.

"Impenetrable!"

Looking at the rapidly falling Stelle, hope finally welled up in Mo Xin's eyes.

She struggled to adjust her posture, no longer as panicked as before, and followed closely behind the firelight.

The torrential rain wove into an airtight curtain, the world between heaven and earth hazy.

Two figures, one red and one black, streaked through the rain like meteors, rushing rapidly toward the ground from high above.

The moment the sparks hit the ground.

Rumble...

A huge impact struck the ground, as if a meteorite had fallen, and the ground for several miles around trembled slightly.

Standing on the street, one could clearly feel the ground beneath their feet swaying slightly, but in fact, almost no one noticed this slight anomaly.

"Hmm, what is this disturbance?"

Acheron slowly turned her head, her deep gaze accurately locking onto the direction from which the disturbance came.

"Could it be... Stelle?"

Acheron held her umbrella with one hand, while the fingertips of her other hand gently brushed her chin, her face showing contemplation.

She didn't expect that Stelle would also be involved in this.

"However, given her abilities, there shouldn't be much danger."

Acheron parted her red lips slightly, her tone calm.

Subsequently, her purple eyes slowly lifted, scanning lightly over the surrounding remains and bones.

The view zoomed out.

The dense rain wove the world into a gray haze. On the cold street, severed limbs were scattered everywhere, and the air was filled with a nauseating stench.

In this filthy scene, only that splash of bright red was particularly striking.

A red umbrella opened in the rain, holding up a quiet little world for Acheron.

Under the umbrella, Acheron stood quietly, her figure tall and slender, her waist slim but held straight, with not a trace of worldly aura between her brows.

Hanging at her waist was an unsheathed purple long sword, the patterns on the scabbard gleaming coldly in the dimness.

Her whole person in the hazy rain had both the soft, graceful contours of a noble woman and an aloof coldness. The red umbrella, purple sword, and cold, elegant posture became the most unique scenery in the misty rain.

"Immortal body? No..."

Looking at the corpses she had slaughtered, Acheron raised her willow brows slightly.

She planted her long sword on the ground and slowly reached out her hand.

Feeling the cold touch between her fingers and the obscure, chilly aura flowing in the rain, she already had a new conclusion in her heart.

"Absorbing the aura of the same root to restore oneself, although not as good as an immortal body, it revives and regenerates after a few minutes."

After reaching the conclusion, Acheron no longer paid attention to this matter.

As for the nearly a hundred remains and bodies scattered around her, she was not worried that they would suddenly come back to life.

Although not living beings, once they touch [Nihility], they are destined to never stand up again.

"Hmm."

Listening to the movement coming from not far away, Acheron understood that there was definitely more than just a second batch.

She also couldn't waste time on this.

Very quickly, she confirmed a direction again.

"Is it this way?"

Acheron picked up her sword and walked forward slowly, holding her umbrella.

...

Meanwhile.

At the other end of the city, on what was originally a flat asphalt street, there was a large pit nearly ten meters deep.

The soil on the walls of the pit was still sliding down with a rustling sound, and the cracks at the edges were like hideous wounds, silently telling how violent the impact had just been.

Inside the big pit, a rustling sound suddenly rang out.

A few minutes later, a disheveled figure slowly revealed herself.

"Ouch, ouch, ouch, almost broke my old back!"

Stelle grimaced as she straightened up, sucking in cold air while raising her hand to pound her sore back.

Then, seeming to remember something, she hurriedly looked back.

"Mo Xin~ Are you okay?"

The voice echoed in the pit for a moment.

Until quite a while later.

A weak, yet deeply resentful voice slowly came from below.

"Stelle... if I trust you next time, I'm a dog!"

"What's wrong with you?"

As soon as these words came out, Mo Xin, who had just climbed out, almost spat out a mouthful of old blood. She rolled over and lay down powerlessly again.

"Damn it, I thought you had some clever plan, but you just put a shield on me and smashed straight into the ground, right?"

Stelle was stunned after hearing this, scratching her head sheepishly. "Right, this was the best method I could think of in a split second. Aren't you still alive and well?"

Hearing this, Mo Xin, whose whole body was in so much pain that she could barely move, almost ground her silver teeth to pieces.

"I admit your shield placement had some skill. After all, I'm still alive. But the problem is, while I'm alive, I almost died of pain on the spot!"
