Chapter 7 - Going Out to Play with Mosquito Girl

"Yawn... so sleepy. What's all that noise outside?" Wearing doll pajamas, Rimuru raised their right hand to rub their head and asked Mosquito Girl in a drowsy tone.

"Yes, Rimuru-sama. The various modified creatures from the House of Evolution are making a racket outside. Mr. Saitama is currently dealing with them." While answering Rimuru, Mosquito Girl brought the prepared breakfast to the dining table and placed it in front of Rimuru.

"House of Evolution? Isn't that your former employer?" Rimuru sat cross-legged on a triple-layered cushion, picking up a piece of fried bacon with chopsticks and eating it, speaking indistinctly to Mosquito Girl.

"Yes, Rimuru-sama," Mosquito Girl replied sweetly, standing obediently by Rimuru's side with her hands folded over her lower abdomen.

"Forget it, just do whatever you think is best." Rimuru finished the bacon on the plate in a few bites. "I don't like these soft-boiled eggs; remember to cook them through next time."

Saying this, they stood up from the cushion and returned to their room to change clothes, preparing to take Mosquito Girl out for a stroll. As for Saitama, who cares? He's busy following the plot.

There's only one Carnage Kabuto in the House of Evolution; there's no need to make a special trip to eat him. It wouldn't be very useful.

After Rimuru returned to the room, Mosquito Girl immediately took out a small notebook and a pen from the pocket of her maid dress and clearly recorded all of Rimuru's requests.

Back in the room, Rimuru bought a "pupil of the fog city" from the system mall and put it on, stepping into a pair of brown knee-high boots with small, thick heels about three centimeters high.

On the upper body, they wore a white long-sleeved shirt as a base, with a khaki open-collar jacket over it. The belt at the waist was slightly slanted, giving off a unique sense of beauty.

For the lower body, they wore only a pair of black denim shorts, leaving their short but fair legs exposed.

Rimuru casually tied their long silver-blue hair into a high ponytail. After tidying up, they walked out of the room.

"Let's go, Mosquito Girl. Come out for a stroll with me. I'll buy you some new clothes and a cell phone so it's easier to contact me."

Holding an apple, Rimuru sat on the sofa and spoke to Mosquito Girl, who was washing dishes in the kitchen.

"Yes, Rimuru-sama. Please wait for me a moment; I'm almost finished here."

Hearing Rimuru's words, Mosquito Girl sped up her dishwashing. Soon, she came out of the kitchen, her hands dried, and prepared to go to her room.

"What are you doing?" Rimuru looked at Mosquito Girl with some confusion. Weren't the dishes done? Where was she going?

"I'm going to get my salary card, Rimuru-sama." Mosquito Girl blinked, looking back at Rimuru with similar confusion.

"Forget it, don't bother. Just come with me; you don't need to spend your own money." Rimuru jumped down from the sofa, reached out to grab Mosquito Girl's wrist, and walked straight toward the exit.

They also conveniently took the keychain Saitama had left on the shoe rack, giving the keys to Mosquito Girl. A certain Old Baldy, who had already reached the House of Evolution's base with the Budget Warrior, would be crying in a bathroom stall.

Mosquito Girl looked extremely excited, tightly holding Rimuru's small hand and not letting go, seemingly enjoying the feeling of shopping with Rimuru.

Although she had been frightened by the magicules radiating from Rimuru after returning home yesterday, she quickly adjusted her mindset. After all, the stronger Rimuru was, the safer she would be in this home, right?

Rimuru and Mosquito Girl, two beauties—one tall and one small—walking on the streets of City A, were simply the most beautiful scenery in the entire city. Not to mention Mosquito Girl was still wearing a maid outfit, which, combined with her figure that sparked endless imagination, was simply incredible.

First, they took Mosquito Girl to a mobile phone store, bought a phone, and set up a SIM card. Because of Mosquito Girl's beauty, the shop owner even gave them a twenty percent discount on the phone.

Just as the shop owner was about to write down Mosquito Girl's phone number, Rimuru suddenly distracted him and made him forget. In the end, Rimuru didn't buy anything for themselves, just asked a bunch of random questions.

"Hmph, as if a lowlife like that could try to hit on our Mosquito Girl. How ridiculous." Rimuru's words were filled with undisguised disdain.

Mosquito Girl stood beside Rimuru, covering her mouth and giggling, her phone tucked into the front pocket of her maid dress.

The two of them wandered and ate along the way, filling their stomachs with snacks. Rimuru then pulled Mosquito Girl into the largest women's clothing store in the area and bought her several outfits.

Actually, Mosquito Girl wanted to buy something for Rimuru too, but unfortunately, all the clothes in the women's store were too large. Moreover, she hadn't brought her salary card; she couldn't very well use Rimuru's money to buy things for Rimuru.

Mosquito Girl carried several kraft paper bags containing the shoes and clothes they had just bought for her.

The two of them shopped from around ten in the morning until past four in the afternoon. By the time they returned from City A to City Z, it was already sunset.

Although most of the buildings in City Z were dilapidated, they were illuminated by the soft evening sun. Golden light scattered everywhere, casting a layer of gold over the ruins, showing a touch of gentleness.

Mosquito Girl stood in front of a vending machine, buying something, while Rimuru squatted not far away on the ground to play with a stray cat.

When Mosquito Girl walked over to Rimuru with the strawberry milk she bought from the vending machine, the kitten seemed to sense an unpleasant aura from her. It gave her a hiss and quickly turned to run away.

"It seems you're not very popular with small animals." As Rimuru spoke, they reached out to take the strawberry milk Mosquito Girl handed over, which already had a straw inserted, and began to sip it.

"I'm not sure. Though it might sound bad coming from me as Mosquito Girl, I don't particularly like small animals either," Mosquito Girl replied, standing obediently by Rimuru's side.

"But is it really okay for us to return so late? Mr. Saitama didn't eat breakfast, and I don't know what he'll manage for lunch," Mosquito Girl asked, tilting her head slightly at Rimuru.

However, before Rimuru could reply, a clanging sound came from nearby. Rimuru and Mosquito Girl looked over and saw an Autobot—well, a car-man—rummaging for parts.

Yes, a literal car-man. His upper body was inside a car, and his lower body used a license plate to cover his vital parts.

"Since you've seen me, there's no choice! This great one is the modified car-man, Mark II..." Before the car-man could finish his sentence, Rimuru used Black Flame Thunder to turn him into ashes.

"Tsk, how revolting. Why did we have to run into something like that?" Rimuru's voice was full of disgust as they pulled Mosquito Girl along toward home.

Just as they walked up the stairs, they saw Saitama in his jumpsuit and Genos, both squatting by the door like beggars.

A plastic bag was placed in front of them, containing what looked like empty snack wrappers. Upon seeing Rimuru return, Saitama immediately stood up.

"Quick, quick, quick! I didn't take my keys when I left this morning. I've been squatting here all day." Snack crumbs were still stuck to the corners of Saitama's mouth.

"Who told you not to take your keys? Who else is there to blame?" Rimuru gave Saitama a disgusted roll of the eyes and told Mosquito Girl to open the door. What Saitama didn't notice, however, was that the keychain Mosquito Girl was holding was his.

Once the door was open, the group entered in a line.

"Ah, hey, Mosquito Girl, clean up the trash bag at the door in a bit. It was originally snacks I brought for Rimuru, but I hadn't eaten anything and was so hungry that I ate them all."

Just as he was about to enter the living room, Saitama suddenly remembered the trash bag at the door and said to Mosquito Girl.

"Yes, Mr. Saitama, I understand." Mosquito Girl nodded. She first went to clean up the trash bag at the door and then started cooking for Rimuru and Saitama.

"I say, why are you still following me? Aren't you going back?" Saitama sat on the sofa and saw Genos kneeling nearby, his tone full of helplessness.

"Yes, Master. I will leave now and return tomorrow morning," Genos said, standing up and turning to leave without giving Saitama a chance to refuse.

"Oh? You two have gotten close? You've even taken on a disciple." Rimuru had already sent the bags of clothes and shoes from the system space to the front of Mosquito Girl's room and turned to go into their own room to put on those one-piece doll pajamas.

Mosquito Girl was a girl, after all; it wouldn't be right for them to barge into a girl's room. After changing, they walked into the living room.

Rimuru placed some steaming takoyaki on the coffee table in front of Saitama and casually picked an apple from the fruit bowl. They threw themselves onto the sofa, lounging while nibbling on the apple, using the other hand to flip through the TV channels with the remote.

"It's still hot. Rimuru, your space is really convenient; I wish I had one too." Saitama spoke to Rimuru in an envious tone while eating the takoyaki.

"Don't even think about it. This is unique to me and can't be copied." After searching around and finding nothing good, Rimuru turned off the TV, tossed the remote onto the coffee table, and lightly poked the waist of Saitama, who was eating takoyaki, with a bare, snowy-white foot.

"Go to my room and get me two manga books, and bring two bags of chips while you're at it~" After saying this, they gave Saitama a brilliant smile.

Saitama rolled his eyes at Rimuru. He knew it; Rimuru's food was never free; he always had to do something for them.

He finished the last takoyaki and threw the empty box into the trash. He went to Rimuru's room, grabbed two manga books, stuffed them into Rimuru's arms, reached for the remote, and looked for something to watch.
