Chapter 1 - The start

I am a man, and as any good man, I begin my day watching the girls as they enter school. It isn't paid, it isn't respected, but its honest work. Senior year, just started, and I can't believe I am a fucking adult, man. My eyes squint as a unexpectedly heavenly endowed girl walks by.

I used to think being an adult was cool, sex, drugs, and rock and roll. Now I realize it is totally lame. I mean lamer than lame, If I had to put one word on it, I would say lame. Taxes, insurance, job security, do any of those sound fun to you? I think not! I mean, what is so special about being an adult anyways? I kinda just wish I could spot mister truck Kun already, send me to a far-off world, where woman will swoon all over me. I will have a harem, kill a demon king, and be respected. At least more respected than a geek/nurd who spends all his time playing video games, reading novels, and watching the hub. I mean did I mention I have no friends. Please, it's not like I couldn't get any, I hope.

I believe a wise man said something anther, see, I can't even quote correctly. I bet your ashamed as well. No, no I say.

I smell the air as the class president walks by. That is so good! I mean, flowery, delicious, amazing. Yummy, did I mention flowery.

A hooded girl bumps right into me not even saying sorry.

"Hey." I grab her arm, but she just shrugs me off walking into the distance.

People these days, either their total perves, or complete jackasses. Unlike me, a kind gentleman, a knight after all the woman's hearts. That's if I can get a damn girlfriend already. You think eighteen years a virgin would change a man, but hey look at me, perfectly happy and single.

I glance at the truck driving by with a little bit of hope, yet it just leaves without even slightly hitting me.

Surly there is a point to being here, in this school, surly. But what if there isn't, maybe I was meant to travel abroad, you know do some sick shit, learn how to backflip. Imagin if the girls saw me backflip, they would totally wet themselves. I mean, look, I even started working out. Recently I was able to lift the ten-pound dumbbells, I bet I will have the sickest bod within two weeks. I mean could you Imagin, I could. Abbs, whatever else you can get by working out. Yeah, that would be awesome.

As the final students trickle in, I also enter the building, taking my seat in English class.

Just another snooze fest. I push my pencil back and forth as the teacher drones on.

"Watch out."

I dodge a sword, as the dragon screams overhead, its roar shaking the earth. My sword stabs through the first soldier, but he wasn't alone. No matter their numbers they were no match for my cheat ability, the effect, I can see their stats, allowing me to pick and choice, taking out the strongest and ignoring the weakest.

When the battle was done, I slick back my hair. There before me is a stunning elf, her hands tied to a post, and her mouth gaged.

"Don't worry." I undo the knot. "I am here to save you."

She had round blue eyes, long gold hair, and massive chevage allowing me to see basically everything.

She takes out the gage. "Ying pay attention."

I blink a few times staring up at Blue, my neighbor, and also a girl, her short pink hair sways with her disapproving gaze.

"What's the matter?" I ask.

"You go around mumbling all day and it's freaking me out." She crosses her arms elevating her small chest to a slightly higher level.

"Sorry." I rub the back of my head glancing away.

We were childhood friends, but that fact didn't last that long, despite us going to the same schools our whole life, it only felt like our relationship grew more distant.

I rest my already well rested rear end on the roofs bench. A tall fence separating me and the outside world.

I wonder who has the biggest cup size, I mean this question is quite tough. As a scholar in this art, I have done my studies, but everything seems inconclusive. I mean, like I really am no expert. How am I supposed to know?

At least I can hop on the game tonight, that is if my dad choices to get off his lazy ass. Be the provider already, I don't even know how we get by anymore.

"Yo, Ying, can you give us the roof for a minute." A couple of good for nothing squares push me out of the roof, all so they could smoke without being caught. It's like they don't even realize the smell left behind, the teachers aren't idiots, they probably already know. Yet they are some of the top students, perhaps they feel pressured to not report them. Normal people problems.

After a long day of school, I rest my bag on my shoulder heading off.

This is the most important moment in every isekai's main characters life. I can't tell you how many cross walks I purposely crossed when it was not my turn. I mean I am basically a wanted man at this point. One time I had a cop pull me to the side of the road just before I got hit by truck Kun. He was proclaimed a hero by taking away my heroic title. I mean what irony is that.

That wasn't even the craziest story. One time I was crossing the street as I do, and a white van slurved so much they hit into a building. Tragic right, but then It was found out they were smuggling drugs into the country. I mean man, I am basically a hero at this point. Imagin all those lives I saved, where is my medal?

I mean that's pretty much it, same for today, I still had no luck.

I open my door with a sigh. "Mom, dad, I'm home." There was no response as I kicked off my shoes. They were both out today, a rare sight, but a grateful one none the less.

Plopping down at the computer I spin around in the chair, stopping myself at the exact time the computer booted up, typing my password in under a second. This is the life, well other people are off surfing social media, I am here, actorly doing something with my time.

There was a routine for things like this, I check the new updates on my novels, read a tear-jerking manga, and then turn on Gate of Prominence, a MMO RPG, as well as many other things. A rich man invested in it awhile back, but he didn't realize how expensive MMO's were, so he bankrupted himself. I mean you can still see him logging in every now and again, though I wonder if he regrets it.
