Chapter 169 - Chapter 169: Two Peaceful Years

Two years passed in the blink of an eye.

For martial artists who lived on the edge of life and death, it was merely the time between two World Martial Arts Tournaments.

Long enough for the world to be turned upside down twice.

But for Krillin, these two years had been the most comfortable and fulfilling period since he arrived in this world.

For the first time, he truly felt... human.

Early in the morning, before the sun had fully risen over West City, the Capsule Corporation mansion remained quiet.

Krillin's internal clock was more accurate than any alarm.

He opened his eyes and felt the warmth nestled against his chest.

Lazuli was still fast asleep.

Her short blonde hair brushed lightly against him, tickling his skin.

After two years together, the woman who had once been a cold, merciless killing machine had completely become part of the family.

The icy sharpness in her expression had long since been replaced by peaceful contentment.

Carefully, Krillin slipped his arm free without making a sound.

[Krillin (Host)]

Race: Earthling (True Martial God Physique, Mid Rank)

Status: Martial God Core (15% Condensed)

Battle Power: 30 Billion+ (Still increasing steadily)

Saitama Template Fusion: 60%

Skills: True Martial God Form, Supreme Kai-Level Instant Transmission, Serious Series, Divine Oracle, Absolute Physical Immunity, Infinite Stamina (Pseudo), Divine Dual Cultivation Technique...

Looking at the status screen and seeing another quiet increase of two billion battle power, Krillin could only sigh helplessly.

Almost all of it came from Lazuli's Infinite Energy Reactor.

The benefits from cultivating together were simply overwhelming.

Every morning he woke up feeling just a little stronger than the day before.

Growing stronger while doing practically nothing felt luxurious...

And strangely unearned.

He quietly got dressed and headed for the kitchen.

Making breakfast had become one of his favorite daily routines.

The moment he stepped into the hallway, a small figure shot in front of him.

"Dad! Time for special training!"

It was Krillin's eldest son, Terin.

Now seven years old, the boy had short black hair and wore a miniature blue battle suit.

His tiny face was filled with determination, his eyes burning with fighting spirit.

He had inherited Bulma's intelligence and Krillin's extraordinary physique enhanced by the Saitama Template.

Whenever he sparred with Gohan, he could more than hold his own.

"Sure."

Krillin crouched down with a smile and raised a single finger.

"I'll train you using just this."

"Don't underestimate me!"

Terin shouted as golden ki erupted around him.

He launched a powerful punch.

The strike carried enough force to blast through ten centimeters of solid steel.

Krillin gently extended one finger.

It met the center of Terin's fist perfectly.

Thump.

A dull impact echoed through the hallway.

Terin felt as though he'd punched an immovable mountain.

Every ounce of force disappeared instantly.

A gentle yet irresistible power pushed him backward several steps.

"Very nice."

Krillin smiled proudly.

"Your strength has improved again."

"Darn it! Again!"

Father and son began their usual morning spar.

Using nothing but a single finger, Krillin casually dodged and blocked the boy's relentless barrage of attacks.

It looked less like a fight...

And more like an elegant dance.

"Are you two trying to tear the house apart before breakfast?"

A lazy voice drifted from the staircase.

Launch came downstairs with a yawn.

She wore a revealing silk nightgown.

Naturally, she also had her favorite submachine gun slung over one shoulder.

Walking over, she casually kissed Krillin on the cheek before sticking out her tongue at Terin.

"Hey, kid."

"If you want to fight someone, fight me."

"Stop keeping your dad from making breakfast."

"I'm not fighting Aunt Launch!"

Terin puffed out his cheeks.

"You always use guns!"

Just then, another bedroom door opened.

Aki stepped out wearing an elegant white dress.

She looked almost like a celestial maiden.

When she saw Krillin, a gentle smile appeared on her face.

Without saying a word, she walked over and straightened his slightly wrinkled collar.

"Ransa and Bra are still asleep," she said softly.

Ransa, Launch's son, had inherited his mother's dual personality.

Most of the time he was a quiet, refined little boy.

But once his emotions flared up, he transformed into a ferocious young warrior.

As for Bra, Aki's daughter...

The little demigod born with an Innate Divine Core...

She was an even greater little monster.

She had been floating in the air while sleeping since infancy.

Watching the peaceful family before him, Krillin felt his heart soften.

This...

This was the world he wanted to protect.

Breakfast was always the liveliest time of day.

The enormous dining table was covered with food.

With his Divine Culinary Arts, Krillin's cooking had long since reached perfection.

"Krillin! My coffee!"

Bulma rushed upstairs from her underground laboratory.

Dark circles hung beneath her eyes.

She snatched the coffee pot straight from Krillin's hands and drank directly from the spout.

"Ah..."

"I'm alive again."

"Honey, you pulled another all-nighter?"

Krillin looked at her with concern.

"Couldn't be helped."

"The experiment's reached a critical stage."

Bulma waved him off while stuffing a slice of toast into her mouth.

"Oh, right."

"Come by my lab this afternoon."

"I've got something amazing to show you."

"Another one of your mysterious inventions?"

Lazuli elegantly cut into her fried egg while teasing her.

After living together for two years, she and Bulma had become best friends and regular mahjong partners.

The two of them frequently teamed up to empty Launch's private savings during game night.

"This one's different!"

Bulma winked mysteriously.

"It'll completely change the balance of the world."

Krillin simply smiled.

Bulma claimed to invent something that would "change the world" almost every day.

After breakfast, the children headed off to school while everyone else left for their own responsibilities.

Launch managed her private security company.

Aki took Bra to the Lookout's gardens to absorb natural energy.

Lazuli's responsibilities were...

Managing the household finances.

And shopping.

The mansion quickly became quiet.

Only Krillin and Bulma remained.

"Honey, come help me for a second."

Bulma's voice echoed from the gravity chamber.

Krillin walked over to find her struggling to install a massive antimatter engine into a spacecraft.

"I've got it."

He casually lifted the several-ton engine with one hand as if it weighed nothing and effortlessly set it into place.

"Sometimes I'm honestly jealous of your strength."

Bulma wiped away the sweat on her forehead.

She wrapped her arms around Krillin from behind and rested her cheek against his broad back.

"You barely do any training anymore."

"You spend every day with your wives and kids."

"And somehow your battle power keeps climbing."

"That's called talent."

Krillin proudly patted his chest.

"Hmph."

"Show-off."

Bulma laughed and lightly punched him.

"Seriously though, Krillin..."

"Sometimes I'm scared."

"Scared of what?"

"That all of this is just a dream."

"We're too happy."

"It almost doesn't feel real."

"I'm always afraid that one day..."

"Someone stronger than us will appear."

"And they'll take everything away."

Her voice grew quiet.

Krillin turned around and gently pulled her into his embrace.

He kissed her softly on the forehead.

"Don't worry, honey."

His voice was calm, steady, and full of confidence.

"As long as I'm still standing here..."

"No one will ever take our happiness away."

"Not the Androids."

"Not anyone."
