Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Shikon Jewel? Inuyasha!

It had been nearly a month since Uchiha Lie left the village where he was resurrected.

By now, he had fully confirmed one thing—

He had transmigrated again.

At first, he had still held a trace of doubt. But after weeks of traveling, observing, and testing the world's energy, that doubt had completely vanished.

This was not the Ninja World.

This was a land where demons roamed openly.

During this month, he had encountered far more than just Youkai.

Bandits.

Wandering armies.

Rogue samurai who believed testing their blade on a lone traveler was good sport.

The katana hanging at his waist had been "picked up" from one such unfortunate samurai who had mistaken him for prey.

Uchiha Lie had quickly realized that ordinary humans here survived only by clustering together in settlements. They depended on priestesses, monks, and Shinto priests—individuals capable of wielding spiritual power—to fend off supernatural threats.

This world had its own system of power.

Demons did not possess Chakra.

They absorbed the Natural Energy of heaven and earth directly—

And converted it into Demonic Power.

Curious, Uchiha Lie had experimented.

Using his Sharingan, he observed how Natural Energy flowed through demon bodies. Then, using his own Chakra control, he attempted to replicate the conversion process.

After all—

He currently possessed an Edo Tensei body.

He could not die easily.

What was there to fear?

After repeated attempts, he succeeded.

He managed to convert Natural Energy into Demonic Power.

The result?

The power was real.

But it was unsuitable for humans.

When he tested the process on captured bandits, the subjects lost their sanity within minutes—eyes bloodshot, minds shattered, reduced to lunatics consumed by instinct.

Demonic Power was corrosive.

It devoured reason.

Uchiha Lie quickly abandoned further human experimentation.

---

At dawn one morning, sunlight pierced through forest mist.

Ahead, a fairly large Castle Town appeared in the distance.

"A town…" he murmured.

Perfect timing.

He still had the giant bear carcass sealed in storage.

"Let's sell it for some money."

He retrieved the sealing scroll from the Kamui Dimension and released the bear.

Then he formed hand signs.

"Transformation Jutsu."

Smoke dispersed.

His cracked skin vanished.

In its place stood an ordinary monk—grey robes, plain features, nothing remarkable.

He shouldered the bear carcass and walked along the dirt path toward the town.

Over the past month, he had traveled without a fixed destination. If he encountered a human village, he used Transformation Jutsu to blend in briefly. Otherwise, he preferred remote mountain ranges.

Why?

Because the deeper the mountains—

The stronger the demons.

Near villages, demons were weak scavengers at best. Easily eliminated by local priestesses. Not worth harvesting for life force.

Uchiha Lie needed powerful demons.

He needed life force.

For resurrection.

After selling the bear, he wandered through the Castle Town. He sampled local snacks, purchased some basic supplies—though most were unnecessary. His Edo Tensei body required neither food nor clothing. Even his garments were formed from summoned dust.

By dusk, he left.

Once far enough away, he released the Transformation Jutsu.

He disliked using it unless necessary.

Most demons possessed keen senses of smell.

Transformation Jutsu could fool humans—

But rarely demons.

Just as he was about to disappear back into the forest—

He paused.

He looked up.

A brilliant white light ignited on the horizon.

It burned brighter—

Then—

It exploded.

Like fireworks.

Fragments scattered across the sky in a shower of radiant streaks, flying outward like falling stars.

Uchiha Lie's eyes narrowed.

"This scene…"

Ancient Japan.

Demons everywhere.

And now—

A jewel exploding into shards across the sky.

"Inuyasha."

The realization struck him instantly.

"Those… are shards of the Shikon Jewel."

A streak of light shot toward him.

Without hesitation, Chakra burst beneath his feet.

He leapt.

Midair—

He reached out and caught it.

Landing lightly on a treetop, he opened his palm.

A pink, translucent fragment lay quietly in his hand.

At first glance, it resembled ordinary glass.

But within it—

He sensed strange energy fluctuations.

"A Shikon Jewel shard…"

Now he was certain.

This was the world of Inuyasha.

A faint smile appeared on his lips.

"This isn't bad."

Compared to the Naruto World—where the Ōtsutsuki family had turned the war into a cosmic-level battlefield—

This world's combat ceiling was manageable.

Even great demons like Sesshomaru were roughly equivalent to Tailed Beast-level destructive power.

With his Mangekyo Sharingan—

He could stand among the top-tier combatants.

"And… I might even see Kikyo."

The priestess.

The so-called 2D "White Moonlight."

He slipped the shard into his ninja tool pouch.

Then another thought occurred to him.

"The Shikon Jewel attracts demons."

His smile deepened slightly.

"With this, I won't need to wander aimlessly through mountains anymore."

Instead of searching for demons—

Let them come to him.

As for whether this interfered with Inuyasha's group collecting shards?

He did not care.

In the original story, the shards they gathered ultimately ended up in Naraku's hands anyway.

He might as well use them first.

With that decision made, he began walking toward the epicenter of the explosion.

Where shards fell—

There would be conflict.

And perhaps—

He would encounter the main cast.

---

"The Shikon Jewel! Give it to me!"

A shrill roar split the air.

From the bushes, a grotesque figure lunged—a demon with a human head and a snake's body. Fangs gleamed coldly as it rushed him.

Before it reached him—

Chakra condensed in his palm.

"Wind Release: Wind Cutter Technique!"

A compressed blade of wind sliced forward.

Instantly—

The demon was bisected from head to tail.

Its body crashed heavily onto the ground, twitching weakly.

Uchiha Lie glanced down.

"This kind of trash dares to compete?"

Since carrying the shard, life force collection had accelerated.

But so had nuisance encounters.

Weak demons were drawn like moths to flame.

The three tomoe in his eyes spun slowly as he scanned the corpse.

Then—

He noticed it.

A faint pink glow within the broken body.

Another shard.

"Oh?"

He raised an eyebrow.

"Unexpected."

He crouched and extracted the shard from the corpse, placing it into a bamboo storage tube inside his pouch.

Over the past few days, he had already collected four shards.

Efficiency was excellent.

As soon as the shard left the corpse—

The demon's body lost its color.

It turned to ash.

The wind scattered it completely.

Uchiha Lie was unsurprised.

Weak demons could not withstand the Shikon Jewel's power.

Their bodies were long eroded.

Remove the shard—

And they collapsed.

"Brainless trash."

He turned away.

The forest swallowed him once more.

And somewhere in the distance—

The scattered shards of the Shikon Jewel continued to fall.

The game had begun.
