Kaden's mind raced. He recalled the book the Librarian gave him—words swirled on the pages: In darkness, light is sharpest.
He focused on Nyx's shadows, sensing their weakness. "Lara, drop!"
Lara dropped low, and Kaden drew his sword, a burst of earth energy shooting from the ground. The shockwave sent Nyx flying, her grip on Lara breaking.
