Chapter 3 - the drama

Wie smiled warmly, his eyes softening the moment he realized Su-zai was speaking to him. As school let out, the chaotic energy of the hallways dissolved into a relaxed walk home, with the group chatting, laughing, and swapping stories. Everyone was completely caught up in the easy conversation, except for Jing. Green with jealousy at the quiet bond shifting between Wie and Su-zai, Jing abruptly excused himself, muttering a strained reason before rushing ahead of the group.

Once Su-zai finally made it home and settled into the quiet of his room, an intense spark of inspiration hit him. He grabbed a notebook, the outline of a dark, tragic story instantly flooding his mind. It wouldn't have a happy ending. He imagined a narrative centered around a dangerous, cold-blooded villain named Wang, and Lily, an innocent, pure-hearted girl caught in his orbit. Su-zai visualized their twisted, high-stakes dynamic building to a devastating climax—one where the pure-hearted heroine is pushed to her absolute limit, ultimately forcing Lily to kill Wang to survive.

The morning sun filtered through the classroom windows, casting long shadows across the desks. Su-zai couldn't sit still. The moment Wie walked through the door, Su-zai waved him over, his notebook already flipped open.

"Wie, look at this," Su-zai whispered, his eyes bright with excitement. "I stayed up all night writing a new story. It's completely different from anything I've done before."Wie slid into the seat next to him, his expression instantly softening as a warm smile crossed his face. He leaned in close to look at the pages. "Let me see. You look like you haven't slept at all.""I haven't," Su-zai admitted, tapping his pen against a sketched outline of a dark, brooding figure and a delicate flower. "It's a tragedy. The hero isn't really a hero—his name is Wang, and he is a dangerous, ruthless villain. The heroine is Lily, this completely innocent girl who gets caught in his web. They fall in love, but it's toxic. And the ending... Lily has to kill him."Wie's eyebrows raised in surprise, fascinated by the dark turn in Su-zai's mind. "A tragic ending? That sounds intense, Su-zai. Show me what you have so far."
