Chapter 3 - 3. The Ark Descends

◉◉◉◉◉

In the Underworld.

Sirzechs Lucifer stared at the report in his hand and abruptly rose to his feet.

Not far from him, a silver-haired man raised a hand, signaling him to stop.

"Sirzechs... Don't act rashly, Calm yourself. Your sister and Grayfia are both safe."

The green-haired Demon Lord Ajuka Beelzebub spoke calmly.

Like Sirzechs, he was one of the newly crowned Demon Lords of the current generation.

His mind was already analyzing the situation with cold precision.

"Right now, the entire world is focused on that location. If we move recklessly, we risk exposing the Underworld's strength and escalating the situation further."

Under Ajuka's steady reasoning, Sirzechs exhaled slowly and sat back down.

...

Far away.

Mount Meru.

"Hahaha... Now this is interesting."

Indra, the transcendent god, laughed loudly as divine energy surged around him.

"Something tells me Lord Indra is going to stir up trouble again."

An aged monkey wearing a golden circlet sighed as he watched his unpredictable master.

"Well… let's just hope the world remains at peace."

This ancient being, who had witnessed countless wars and disasters, had no desire to see chaos again.

He was too old for another era of destruction.

...

Elsewhere.

In the realm of the Norse gods.

An old man with a single eye collapsed to the ground, clutching his face.

Thor had just entered when he saw the bizarre sight.

"Old man... Did you use your eye to look at that thing?"

Odin trembled.

"It was too overwhelming… How am I supposed to keep looking at beautiful women if my eye is ruined?"

The Allfather mourned his loss dramatically.

The Valkyries nearby exchanged awkward glances.

Some of them even wondered if switching pantheons might not be such a bad idea.

At the center of it all.

The place where the storm had descended.

Everything was silent.

The formation Anos had painstakingly constructed capable of withstanding even a Demon Lord's strike had been shattered effortlessly.

He hadn't even seen how it happened.

Now, floating before him, was a red sphere.

And in his mind, a voice echoed.

Based on his judgment, it was the voice of his dormant system.

[Excess dimensional energy detected, Absorbing.]

A progress bar appeared before his eyes.

It advanced steadily toward completion.

Anos found himself staring at the red sphere, Its surface was uneven, subtly pulsing, radiating an irresistible presence.

It drew his attention completely.

As he watched, the sphere emitted a blue light.

It scanned his body instantly.

[Species confirmed: Human.]

[Query: Do you wish to become the master of the Ark Sphere?]

Anos narrowed his eyes.

He immediately began making judgments.

Was this sphere attempting to bind itself to him?

Judgment.

Would accepting it benefit him?

Yes.

Would it harm him?

No.

Within a single second, he completed multiple judgments.

"I accept."

He spoke quietly.

Based on his conclusions, this was the correct decision.

The red sphere erupted with brilliant light.

It moved toward him on its own.

Ten meters.

Five meters.

One meter.

Closer.

Closer.

Until distance no longer existed.

The sphere passed through his body as if merging with him.

[Binding complete.]

[The Ark Sphere is now operational.]

Its voice echoed directly in his mind.

Anos immediately began examining its functions.

Within minutes, he understood.

This was not magic.

It was technology.

Technology is far beyond anything humanity currently possesses.

In a distant future, humanity had advanced beyond the limits of physics itself.

They had created universal machines capable of reshaping reality.

But their ambition had been limitless.

And it had led to their destruction.

The Ark Sphere was one of their final creations.

A vessel designed to preserve their legacy.

They had never lived to use it.

After countless dimensional crossings, it had arrived in this world.

And through perfect coincidence or perhaps inevitability Anos had found it.

Because it had been created by humans, it could only recognize a human master.

And Anos Kanzaki was the first human it encountered.

At that moment—

[Absorption complete.]

[Divine Treasure System activated.]

[New host reward granted: One Golden Treasure Chest.]

[Treasure Chest Tiers: Rainbow, Gold, Silver, Purple, Green, White.]

[Open Golden Treasure Chest?]

"Open it."

Anos answered without hesitation.

A reward like this was not something to ignore.

[Congratulations.]

[You have obtained: The Divine Authority of the True Biblical God.]
